Abstract:Členki so v govornem besedilu pogost jezikovni pojav.

Title:PARTICLES IN SPOKEN DISCOURSE
Abstract:In spoken text, particles are common linguistic phenomenon. They are spontaneously used and with their help we create semantic relations with spoken event: with their use, sender creates contact with recipient, they signalize how the recipient should understand certain matter, they are substantively connected with preceding statement. With their use, expressing is condensed, abridged, particles can substitute the whole sentence, they have certain informative value; with their use, we give explanations, evaluate, emotionally affect, assess and enhance the text. Particles are linking elements – as referents they refer to the whole sentence or to its parts. When the latter are linked, particles express logical, reasonable relations between parts of the text. In my diploma paper, I have researched for particles which give effect on semantic and text linguistic level. Based upon the criterion of Slovenian particle division, I have defined the meaning and the role of particles in a sentence or in a text; when particles are used, our expressing is condensed and abridged, that is why I have searched for sentence-equivalents and defined their frequency. Particles in their role of text connectors are understood as textual linking devices, which express semantically-logical relations between sentences or parts of the text.
