Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava merjenje oddaljenosti objektov oziroma merjenje razdalj med objekti s pomočjo brezžičnega omrežja ZigBee. Na kratko opisuje standarde za brezžična osebna omrežja (WPAN), ki jih definira delovna skupina IEEE 802.15. Podrobno je obravnavan standard IEEE 802.15.4, ki je osnova tehnologije ZigBee. Prav tako so na kratko opisana brezžična senzorska omrežja. V praktičnem delu diplomskega dela so predstavljene meritve sprejete moči signala (RSSI) na ZigBee modulu pri določenih razdaljah in na različnih lokacijah. Del diplomskega dela je bil opravljen v podjetju Telargo d.o.o., kjer se je testiral senzor bližine osnovan na tehnologiji ZigBee.

Title:Measurement of distances between objects by wireless sensor network ZigBee
Abstract:The diploma work deals with measurement of distances between objects by wireless sensor network ZigBee. It also briefly describes the standards for wireless personal networks (WPAN) that are defined by the IEEE 802.15 working group. The standard IEEE 802.15.4, which is the basis for the ZigBee technology, is discussed in detail. In addition, wireless sensor networks are also described. In the practical part of the diploma work measurements of the received signal strength (RSSI) on the ZigBee module are presented. This measurements were taken at various distances and at different locations. Some part of the diploma work was done at company Telargo d.o.o., where the proximity sensor based on ZigBee technology was tested.
