Abstract:V diplomskem delu z naslovom Predšolski otrok in zdrava prehrana smo v teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela zbrali podatke o zdravi in uravnoteženi prehrani predšolskih otrok. V tem delu so bile z deskriptivno metodo empiričnega pedagoškega raziskovanja preverjene in ovrednotene zastavljene hipoteze.

Title:Preschol children and a healthy diet
Abstract:In my graduation dissertation entitled Preschool Children and a Healthy Diet, the theoretical part of the thesis deals with gathered data about a healthy and balanced diet of preschool children. It also speaks about the food guide pyramid, the principals of a healthy diet and the ingredients of a healthy diet. It is focused on the diet of a preschool child and his/her daily meals. In addition it also touches the pickiness of preschool children with regards to food and the role played by the parents and the kindergarten or the educators. The empirical part of the dissertation presents the findings of a survey which determined what the nutrition habits of preschool children are whether the children have a correct and healthy nutrition. We have processed the data gathered with a questionnaire handed out to the parents of preschool children visiting the Sveta Ana kindergarten. The sample taken comprised 40 parents of preschool children. The questionnaire was handed out in December 2008. This part checks and evaluates the pre-set hypotheses by using the descriptive method. The results of the questionnaire showed that over 90% of parents regularly checked the menus in the kindergarten. Most preschool children eat fruit and vegetables daily. There is a widespread intake of sweets. Just over half of the children are satisfied with the food provided in the kindergarten. The majority of parents are convinced that the eating habits developed in childhood remain the same for the whole life.
Keywords:Key words: preschool children, healthy diet, eating habits, role of the parents, role of the educators.
