Title:ZETA POTENCIAL FUNKCIONALNIH TEKSTILNIH MATERIALOV

Abstract:Elektrokinetične lastnosti opišejo električni potencial v bližini trdne površine, ki se premika v tekoči fazi. Opisan je z zeta potencialom. Avstrijsko podjetje Anton Paar GmbH iz Graza je razvilo elektrokinetični analizator SurPASS, ki temelji na principu merjenja pretočnega potenciala in pretočnega toka za določanje zeta potenciala. V tekstilni industriji so v uporabi večnamenske apreture za aplikacijo tehnologije mikrokapsuliranja na tekstilijah, katerim lahko izmerimo pretočni potencial, na osnovi tega pa določimo zeta potencial, s katerim lahko ovrednotimo lastnosti površin bombažnim in poliamidnim pleteninam. Namen diplomskega dela je raziskava vpliva mikrokapsuliranih in apreturnih sredstev bombažnih in poliamidnih (PA6,6) vzorcev na zeta potencial (ZP), v odvisnosti od pH elektrolita. Ob tem smo proučevali vpliv pralnih ciklov na obstojnost mikrokapsul in apreturnih sredstev. Raziskovali smo lastnosti bombažnih pletenin in poliamidnih prej in pletenin. Iz rezultatov meritev pretočnega potenciala je razvidno, da je pri bombažnih vzorcih po 10 kratnem ciklu pranja zelo povečana hidrofilnost, saj se po pranju spira mehčalec in protimikrobni nanos. Pri poliamidnih vzorcih pa se spirajo mikrokapsule prav tako po 10 kratnem ciklu pranja.

Title:ZETA POTENTIAL OF FUNCTIONAL TEXTILE MATERIALS
Abstract:Electrokinetic properties describe the electrical potential adjacent to a solid surface, if it is moving in the surrounding liquid phase. It is described by zeta potential. Austrian company Anton Paar GmbH from Graz has developed the SurPASS elektrokinetic analyzer, which is based on a streaming potential/streaming current for determining the zeta potential. Many different apertures for application of micro capsulation technology on textile materials are used in textile industry. Streaming potential was measured, and on the base of it, zeta potential was determined, which is further used for evaluation of cotton and polyamide knitted fabrics surface properties. The aim diploma thesis is studying influence of microencapsulated and chemical agents of cotton and polyamide (PA 6,6) samples on zeta potential (ZP), in correlation with pH of electrolyte. Influence of washing cycles on stability of microcapsules and chemical agents was also studied. It is evident from streaming potential measurement results, that hydrophilic properties are much higher after 10 washing cycles, as during washing softening antibacterial layer is rinsed out. The same situation was also established in polyamide samples, where microcapsules were also rinsed out after ten washing cycles.
