Title:Trajnostna poplavna varnost v porečju Selške Sore z ekoremediacijami

Abstract:V diplomskem delu je predstavljeno poplavno ogroženo porečje Selške Sore, kjer so se v zadnjih 19-ih letih zvrstile že štiri katastrofalne poplave. Zadnje, najbolj uničujoče so bile leta 2007. Nadaljnje klimatske spremembe in človekovi posegi v naravo bodo pogostost in učinek poplav še povečali. Zato je že danes potrebno razmišljati o zagotavljanju sonaravne in trajnostne poplavne varnosti, ki bo omogočala varno bivanje s poplavami. Tako smo predstavili naravnogeografske in družbenogeografske značilnosti porečja, ki igrajo pomembno vlogo na poplavnem območju Selške Sore. Predvideli smo trajnostno poplavno varnost na primeru pritoka Selške Sore, Luše. Uporaba ekoremediacij (ERM) za poplavno varnost zagotavlja ekološko sprejemljivejše ureditve, naravnejše stanje vodnega okolja in hkrati zmanjšuje nevarnost pred hudourniškimi poplavami. Menimo, da bi s trajnostnimi in celovitimi pristopi v porečju bistveno zmanjšali učinke visokih voda. Danes je stanje ravno nasprotno, zaradi regulacij in ureditev v sami strugi in ne v porečju, Selška Sora s pritoki močno poplavlja.

Title:Sustainable flood management in Selška Sora catchment with ecoremediation
Abstract:The diploma thesis deals with the flood threatened river basin of Selška Sora, where four catastrophic floods have occurred in the last 19 years. The last ones, the most destructive, are dated in 2007. Further climatic changes and human intervention will increase the number and the effect of floods. That is also the reason to begin with sustainable development in safety to ensure safe cohabitation with floods. The physical- and sociogeographical characteristics of the river basin that play a significant role on the flood area of Selška Sora are presented. We have predicted a sustainable flood safety management on the case of Luša, tributary of Selška Sora. The use of ecoremediation for flood management ensures ecologically acceptable regulations, the natural state of water system and decreases the risk of flash flood. We believe that a sustainable accession in the basin the high water effects could be decreased. The recent state is contrary and Selška Sora and its tributaries still flood due to different regulations of the stream channel instead of the basin itself.
