1. Konstruiranje in preračun tračnega transporterja za transport gramoza : diplomsko deloUrh Borovnik, 2025, diplomsko delo Opis: V okviru diplomskega dela je bil v sodelovanju s podjetjem Kopitar d. o. o. izdelan preračun tračnega transporterja za transport gramoza skupaj s tehniško dokumentacijo. Pri preračunu tračnega transporterja smo upoštevali zahteve, ki nam jih je predhodno podalo podjetje, za katerega je bil izdelan tračni transporter. Izdelana je bila vsa potrebna tehniška dokumentacija za izdelavo tračnega transporterja. Pri preračunu dejanske zmogljivosti tračnega transporterja, potrebne moči pogonskega motorja, kontrola povesa traku ter preračun bobnov smo uporabili standardni pristop in empirične enačbe. Pri konstruiranju in izdelavi tehnične dokumentacije smo uporabili programsko opremo Autodesk Inventor. 2. Izdelava in sestava polnilne enote za polnjenje gramoza v velike vreče z rotirajočim vsipnim košem : diplomsko deloTadej Lončar, 2024, diplomsko delo Opis: V diplomskem delu smo predstavili izziv podjetja Njiva, d. o. o., za načrtovanje novega stroja za polnjenje velikih vreč gramoza z uporabo tračnega in členkastega transporterja z rotirajočim vsipnim košem. Predstavljen je proces načrtovanja tračnega in členkastega transporterja, podporne konstrukcije rotirajočega vsipnega koša in konstrukcije dveh vsipnih košev. V izhodiščnem delu je izdelan preračun načrtovanja tračnega in členkastega transporterja, namen katerega je določitev potrebne pogonske moči elektromotorjev. V preračunu so predhodno podani tehnični podatki obeh transporterjev, na podlagi katerih je izveden celoten izračun. 3. Pathways to Alternative Transport Mode Choices among University Students and Staff—Commuting to the University of Maribor since 2010Branka Trček, Beno Mesarec, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The study of commuting behavior at the University of Maribor (UM) was the subject of our
research, which focused on the building complex of the four technical faculties (BCTF) and was based
on the analysis of two questionnaire surveys (with 1057 and 462 respondents, respectively) and the
transport policies implemented at the study site from 2010 to 2020. The research aimed to identify the
factors influencing student and staff mode choice/shift over a decade period and to understand the
weaknesses, strengths, and opportunities for improving sustainable mobility at the university. Since
2010, active commuting has predominated among students, while car use has decreased by 22%.
Female students were 16% more likely to walk than their peers, while male students were 5% and
12% more likely to use bicycles and cars, respectively. Active commuting and car use by staff have
not changed since 2010, and there was an insignificant difference between genders, 63% of whom
used cars. Mode shifts were primarily related to trip origins, subsidization of bus use, availability or
unavailability of free parking, and parking fees. Questionnaire responses were a powerful tool for
finding the most effective interventions to manage transport at universities. The results also suggest
that transport policies can be more effective if they are planned in coordination with housing policies. 4. The analysis of the effects of a fare free public transport travel demand based on e-ticketingDanijel Hojski, David Hazemali, Marjan Lep, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The traditional approach in public transport planning was to collect travel demand data for a more extended period and compose timetables to serve this demand. There are two significant identifiable issues. In the rural areas and off-peak hours, public transport operators provide much more capacities than needed. On the other hand, more capacities than scheduled are needed on certain lines at certain departures on some sporadically occurring occasions. The problem is how to react to short-term changes (daily) triggered by exceptional circumstances and events and midterm changes (weekly, monthly basis) in travel demand. We can trigger changes in travel demand chiefly by introducing a desirable (almost for free) tariff system applied to specific populations. No long-term travel response data exists for this kind of intervention, but an immediate response in public transport supply is needed. In Slovenia, public transport for free for the whole population over 65 years was introduced. With the modern ticketing system, which was designed to be as simple as possible for users (that means "check-in only" at the moment of boarding), the research task was to analyze the travel behavior of the retired population, faced with a new attractive option to travel, based on data of purchased tickets and their afterward validation, for better mid-and long-term planning. Our study finds that ITS technology (in this case, e-ticketing system) can satisfactorily solve the discussed planning and management task. 6. Assessment of Dangerous Goods Transport: Case Western Balkan CountriesMarko Renčelj, Osman Lindov, Miloš Pljakić, Drago Sever, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) is a critical component of economic systems, especially in regions such as the Western Balkans (WB), where infrastructure and regulatory frameworks face significant challenges. This study assesses the current state of transportation of dangerous goods in Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo*, focusing on the alignment of national regulations with international standards such as the ADR agreement. Using a structured questionnaire distributed to 847 stakeholders, key barriers are identified, including inadequate infrastructure, insufficient training, limited oversight and low public awareness. Statistical analyses, including paired t-tests, reveal significant differences in perceptions across the countries surveyed, indicating inequalities in implementation and enforcement. Despite these challenges, there are opportunities to close gaps through targeted investments in infrastructure, increased training programs, stricter compliance and regional cooperation. The findings underscore the need for comprehensive data collection systems and advanced risk assessment tools to improve safety and efficiency. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of TDG issues in the WB countries and provides actionable recommendations for policy makers and practitioners to promote safer and more sustainable practices. The region can improve its TDG framework by addressing these challenges and ensuring economic growth and public safety while minimizing environmental risks. 7. Predicting the probability of cargo theft for individual cases in railway transportLorenc Augustyn, Małgorzata Kuźnar, Tone Lerher, Maciej Szkoda, 2020, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: In the heavy industry, the value of cargo transported by rail is very high. Due to high value, poor security and volume of rail transport, the theft cases are often. The main problem of securing rail transport is predicting the location of a high probability of risk. Because of this,the aim of the presented research was to predict the highest probability of rail cargo theft for areas. It is important to prevent theft cases by better securing the railway lines. To solve that problem the authors' model was developed. The model uses information about past transport cases for the learning process of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) and Machine Learning (ML).The ANN predicted the probability for 94.7% of the cases of theft and the Machine Learning identified 100% of the cases. This method can be used to develop a support system for securing the rail infrastructure. 8. Factors influencing the purchase intention of autonomous carsDarja Topolšek, Dario Babić, Darko Babić, Tina Cvahte Ojsteršek, 2020, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Even though autonomous cars have not yet crossed into the mainstream car market, their adoption seems inevitable, but not much is known about the purchasing intention of ACs and potential influences on it. To better understand the influences of various factors on purchasing intentions of autonomous cars, research using bibliometrics, an online survey and SEM modelling was performed. Based on an analysis of previous research work and the unified theory of acceptance of technology, an empirical model was produced and tested using data obtained from an online survey involving 266 individuals. The goal was to analyse which characteristics of autonomous cars, socio-demographic variables of potential buyers, and buyers' personal and social characteristics could potentially influence the adoption of autonomous cars. The results show that factors of car safety, buyer age and level of education, perceived social influence, anxiety and performance expectancy are significantly correlated to purchasing intention of ACs, while correlations with other factors to purchasing intentions have not been proven. 9. Factors of digital transformation in the maritime transport sectorMarija Jović, Edvard Tijan, Doroteja Vidmar, Andreja Pucihar, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: This paper aims to present the model of factors which influence the digital transformation in maritime transport sector. The preliminary model is based on a literature review and interviews conducted to identify the relevant factors influencing the digital transformation of stakeholders operating in the maritime transport sector. In order to test the model, the survey was conducted on the sample of Croatian administrative (port authorities, ministry, harbormaster’s offices, etc.) and commercial stakeholders (freight forwarders, agents, terminal operators, etc.) operating in maritime transport sector. The collected data was analyzed using the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The research has shown that organizational, technological, and environmental (TOE) factors affect the digitalization of the organizations in the maritime transport sector. As a result of digitalization, changes in business models are visible: organizations in maritime transport sector generate additional revenue from new sources, provide new services, and introduce new sales channels.
