Detection and perception of colour regarding gender and age
Darinka Fakin, Lavra Smoljanović, Alenka Ojstršek, 2020, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: People have been accompanied by colours throughout the history and through all periods of life. In different eras, colours were also associated with status symbols of different social classes or mythological beliefs. We are often addressed emotionally by colour combinations, since colour perception is always and exclusively a sensorial experience. Various colour combinations can have a pleasant effect on us or leave us cold as well as in a state of shock. All of the above, presented the starting point of this research. Detection and perception of sensations through colour was accomplished by preparing a questionnaire related to 12 selected colours. The research included 302 participants from Slovenia, of both sexes and different ages, born from 1940 to 2004. From the obtained results, it could be concluded how popular a certain colour is in a material, design and spiritual sense. Moreover, the results were validated and compared regarding the gender and age of participants, and further compared with the results of previous studies.

Stanje etičnih vrednot poslovodnih računovodij v Sloveniji
Maša Janžekovič, 2025, diplomsko delo

Opis: Vsak človek tekom svojega osebnega in poslovnega življenja sprejema veliko odločitev, pri katerih pridejo v ospredje njegova načela in vrednote.

Analysis of the citizen’s attitudes about the economic measures to eliminate the consequences of the COVID19 pandemic in the Republic of Serbia
Dragomir Dimitrijević, Milan Tomislav Kostić, Marija Radulović, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: The pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus has led to negative economic consequences in all countries. The COVID-19 pandemic created problems in the functioning of the economy, and economic state measures were necessary to reduce the negative impact of the pandemic. Every country in the world has tried to find the best economic measures to help its citizens overcome the negative effects of the pandemic as easily as possible. After 5 years since the pandemic began, the real effects of these state measures, which were also implemented by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, can now be seen much more objectively, which is analysed in this paper. The primary objective of this paper is to evaluate citizens' opinions on the effectiveness of the state economic measures implemented by the Government of the Republic of Serbia to mitigate the impact of pandemics on both citizens' lives and companies' operations.

Omissions by design in a survey : is this a good choice when using Structural Equation Models?
Paula Cristina Ribeiro Vicente, 2024, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: Missing observations can arise due to the effort required to answer many questions in long surveys and the cost required to obtain some responses. Implementing a planned missing design in surveys helps reduce the number of questions each respondent needs to answer, thereby lowering survey fatigue and cutting down on implementation costs. The three-form and the two-method design are two different types of planned missing designs. An important consideration when designing a study with omissions by design is to know how it will affect statistical results. In this work, a simulation study is conducted to analyze how the usual fit measures, root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA), standardized root mean square residual (SRMR), comparative fit index (CFI), and Tucker-Lewis index (TLI) perform in the adjustment of a Structural Equation Model. The results revealed that the CFI, TLI, and SRMR indices exhibit sensitivity to omissions with small samples, low factor loadings and large models. Overall, this study contributes to our understanding of the importance of considering omissions by design in market research.

Domestic cat - the unspoken threat to wildlife in the sub-urban location of Maribor
Larisa Bedrač, Nina Šajna, 2024, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: The monitoring of domestic cats' prey brought home was conducted between the 13th of March and the 1st of May 2023 in two residential areas near Maribor, Slovenia. This study aimed to provide information about the amount, diversity, and frequency of prey that the cats captured to identify the predatory impact of domestic cats in peri-urban areas. We present the results of the prey return, whether the prey was brought alive or not, and whether it was eaten or not. We further provide information about the predation frequency of domestic cats concerning circadian activity according to weather conditions and air temperature. The frequencies of various taxonomic groups of prey captured were described in relation to land use in a location and species' biology. Our results include a total of 50 records of 12 species (3 species of birds and 9 of mammals). Domestic cats were more active during the mornings and on days without rain, and the frequency of bringing home prey increased with higher temperatures.

Effect of usage of industrial robots on quality, labor productivity, exports and environment
Jasna Prester, Iztok Palčič, 2024, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: Industrial robots are slowly finding their way into manufacturing companies. This paper examines the impact of robots on productivity, exports, quality, sustainability and labor in European manufacturing companies. There is little research on the use of industrial robots and their impact in developed countries. Most research relates to Chinese companies, and often, the data are outdated. The data in this paper come from the European Manufacturing Survey project, which was conducted in 2022 and includes 476 manufacturing companies. The results of the impact of industrial robots on quality, labor productivity, exports and green technologies are determined using a T-test between companies that use industrial robots and those that do not. However, the impact of higher investment in environmental technologies by industrial robot users was examined by a two-stage OLS regression analysis with control variables representing the contextual characteristics of the companies. The results show positive effects on all of the variables. The results show that the greater use of robots occurs in industries with low-to-medium technology intensity, that robots contribute to labor productivity and exports and that companies that use robots also tend to use environmentally friendly technologies.

Possibilities and concerns of implementing precision agriculture technologies on small farms in Slovenia
Jurij Rakun, Erik Rihter, Damijan Kelc, Denis Stajnko, Peter Vindiš, Peter Berk, Peter Polič, Miran Lakota, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: Precision agriculture (PA) through the use and utilization of innovative technologies is a concept in agricultural management that enables long-term efficiency gains, control of unforeseen changes, and a reduction of negative impacts on the environment. However, there are even more reasons and benefits to using precision agriculture technologies (PATs) on farms, but the actual use on small farms is often questionable. The main objective of this research was to evaluate and analyze the current state of PA and its potential on a set of small farms. In addition, a comparison was made between small farms located in less favored areas (LFAs) and more favored areas (MFAs) to find if specific characteristics of the surrounding environment affect the (non-) implementation of these technologies by farm owners, with respect to the given regional possibilities. The result shows that 57.5% of respondents on these farms have never implemented PATs before and 20% are beginners in their respective fields. It was found that there were no statistically significant differences in the integration between fewer LFAs and MFAs technologies and their use in this study. The majority of respondents believe that the main changes need to occur on the level of politics. The results show that the level of cost or initial investment is the main reason and the main obstacle in the implementation of PATs on the surveyed farms.

Simultaneous use of digital technologies and industrial robots in manufacturing firms
Klemen Kovič, Robert Ojsteršek, Iztok Palčič, 2023, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: This paper presents the use of digital technologies and industrial robots in manufacturing firms. More importantly, we look at the relationship between the use of digital technologies and industrial robots within the Industry 4.0 concept. We also use a specific Industry 4.0 Readiness index to assess manufacturing firms’ Industry 4.0 readiness level and analyze the relationship between the achieved readiness level and the use of industrial robots. The research is based on data from 118 manufacturing firms from a European Manufacturing Survey. Based on statistical analysis, we present the results that show a significant correlation between the use of specific digital technologies and two types of industrial robots. Our study also points out that manufacturing firms with a higher Industry 4.0 readiness level tend to use industrial robots more frequently.

Frost protection measures : survey results
Matej Fike, Miha Smrekar, Mateja Fekonja, 2021, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: In Slovenia, frosts occur often and it causes great damage for growers. Various passive and active methods are known for frost protection. Pasive methods can be implemented throughout the year. They are used to enable easier implementation of active methods, which are in use when a period of frost occurs. The aim of this research is, with the help of a survey, to assess whether growers in Slovenia implement active or passive methods of frost protection, and if not, why not. The survey contained 24 questions and was intended primarily for fruit and wine growers in Slovenia. The results of the survey show that frost happens to Slovenian growers on average every other year, and destroys on average 50% of their crop. Despite frequent frosts and the damage they cause, growers are not implementing any active measures, nor are they willing to invest in them. The reasons for this may be the large investments required for active measures, the small sizes of farms in Slovenia (on average 12 ha according to the survey answers), or that farmers are insufficiently informed about the various measures.
