2. The role and function of a sports event organiser : safety at football matches in Slovenia, Serbia, and AustriaTimotej Praznik, Maja Modic, Simon Slokan, 2020, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Purpose: The purpose of the paper is to examine the organisation of a sports event - more precisely, a football match, specifically from the point of view of safety. We compared the Slovenian practice of event organising with how sports events are organised in Serbia and Austria. Design/Methods/Approach: First we conducted a literature and normative bases review. The research was conducted through interviews with spokespersons from the football clubs - NK Celje, FK Partizan and SK Sturm Graz. We conducted a telephone interview with the security manager of the European Football Association and also included our own observations from attending the Serbian championship match. Findings: Our research shows that despite the existence of subnational legislation, there are differences in understanding of ensuring safety at sporting events in the analysed countries. As the most common factors that can affect safety and security at a sports event we identified the following: personnel, supporter groups, pyrotechnics and infrastructure. Research Limitations/Implications: Our research is limited to three countries and to three football clubs that were willing to take part in our research. Originality/Value: Research findings are based on the perspective and experience of football club security managers, presenting main risk factors and corresponding measures for ensuring safety and security at football matches. 3. Are excessive legislative restrictions of pension fundʼs investments required to ensure these fundsʼ operational stability and minimum guaranted return?Tanja Markovič-Hribernik, Igor Jakopanec, 2013, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: In this paper, it is investigated whether government, when promises pension fundʼs members a so-called minimum guaranteed return, to reduce the exposure of members to financial risks , should at the same time hinders portfolio diversification process of pension funds. We provide a detailed analysis of the connection between the requirements for providing a minimum guaranteed return and managing financial risks on the one hand and the investment structure of pension funds on the other. We intend to demonstrate with an illustrative case, using the simulation technique and a combination of actual data and some hypothetical one, that by precisely matching the investments' characteristics to the characteristics of the pension fund's liabilities, some important financial risks can even be hedged entirely. We also intend to demonstrate that with the implementation of a proper policy of risk measurement and management, complemented with stress testing practices, excessive legislative restrictions for investments are no longer necessary. At the very least, governments should avoid implementing legislation that hinders the portfolio diversification process and therefore makes pension fund risk management more difficult. 4. COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT AND RISKS IN BRIICS COUNTRIESMatej Domadovnik, 2014, diplomsko delo Opis: BRIICS's power is growing in the global economy and they have become very important players in a political sense. Brazil, Russia, India, Indonesia, China, and South Africa represent fast growing markets, which are potential markets for foreign investors. Risks, like political risks, financial risks or corruption are always present, and they cause a lot of uncertainty in investors’ eyes, since they can lose their input. The risks are much higher in developing countries because their political and financial systems are not well developed or implemented. In my diploma seminar I analysed in great detail the business environments and risks of Russia, China and India. Analysis was backed up with many economic indicators which I found relative. At the end of analysis, I pointed out a country which would be a good potential market for RELIDEA ltd., a company that does digital marketing. My diploma seminar also included possible scenarios of the BRIICS and their new challenges Ključne besede: BRIICS, risks, business environment, potential markets, forecast Objavljeno v DKUM: 23.10.2014; Ogledov: 1736; Prenosov: 124 Celotno besedilo (847,12 KB) |
