1. Attraction basins in metaheuristics: a systematic mapping studyMihael Baketarić, Marjan Mernik, Tomaž Kosar, 2021, pregledni znanstveni članek Opis: Context: In this study, we report on a Systematic Mapping Study (SMS) for attraction
basins in the domain of metaheuristics. Objective: To identify research trends, potential issues,
and proposed solutions on attraction basins in the field of metaheuristics. Research goals were
inspired by the previous paper, published in 2021, where attraction basins were used to measure
exploration and exploitation. Method: We conducted the SMS in the following steps: Defining research
questions, conducting the search in the ISI Web of Science and Scopus databases, full-text screening,
iterative forward and backward snowballing (with ongoing full-text screening), classifying, and data
extraction. Results: Attraction basins within discrete domains are understood far better than those
within continuous domains. Attraction basins on dynamic problems have hardly been investigated.
Multi-objective problems are investigated poorly in both domains, although slightly more often
within a continuous domain. There is a lack of parallel and scalable algorithms to compute attraction
basins and a general framework that would unite all different definitions/implementations used
for attraction basins. Conclusions: Findings regarding attraction basins in the field of metaheuristics
reveal that the concept alone is poorly exploited, as well as identify open issues where researchers
may improve their research. Ključne besede: attraction basin, systematic mapping study, systematic review, metaheuristics Objavljeno v DKUM: 16.06.2025; Ogledov: 0; Prenosov: 0

3. Software self-hosting : a systematic review of quantitative research☆Luka Hrgarek, Lili Nemec Zlatolas, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: In an era marked by heightened concerns surrounding personal privacy and data security, software self-hosting has gained significance as a means for individuals and organizations to reclaim control over their digital assets. This systematic review aims to identify relevant research gaps in the quantitative analysis of self-hosting, primarily focusing on studies employing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and regression techniques. Employing a refined version of the Systematic Mapping Process, we analyzed 49 quantitative research papers whose concepts were grouped into 12 substantive groups. The findings reveal a predominant concentration on constructs related to the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), with limited exploration of self-hosting specifically, overshadowed by an emphasis on cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), and privacy aspects. Our review provides a comprehensive overview of the existing literature and highlights the need for more focused research on self-hosting itself. This systematic review serves as a foundational resource for researchers and practitioners aimed at advancing the discourse on self-hosting. 4. Measuring climate knowledge : a systematic review of quantitative studiesMaruša Lubej, Žiga Petraš, Andrej Kirbiš, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Climate change is a pressing issue that necessitates a climate-literate population. This systematic literature
review investigates how climate knowledge, a key component of climate literacy, is measured in scientific
research. Analysis of 92studiesrevealsthatclimateknowledgeisprimarilyassessedasobjectiveknowledge
(facts andevidence). Aminorityofstudiesmeasuredsubjectiveknowledge.Mostoften,thetargetpopulation
was general adult population, followed by students and teachers. Furthermore, most studies are concen
trated in North America and Europe, while climate knowledge remains underexplored in other regions.
This review highlights the lack of consistency in the measurement of climate knowledge, particularly in
defining its dimensions. Our findings underscore the need for future research to focus on developing a stan
dardized, reliable, valid, and comprehensive instrument for measuring climateknowledge. Thiswould enable
the comparison of findings across different regions and populations.

5. Decoding anxiety : a scoping review of observable cuesUrška Smrke, Izidor Mlakar, Ana Rehberger, Leon Žužek, Nejc Plohl, 2024, pregledni znanstveni članek Opis: Background: While anxiety disorders are one of the most prevalent mental diseases, they are often overlooked due to shortcomings of the existing diagnostic procedures, which predominantly rely on self-reporting. Due to recent technological advances, this source of information could be complemented by the so-called observable cues – indicators that are displayed spontaneously through individuals’ physiological responses or behaviour and can be detected by modern devices. However, while there are several individual studies on such cues, this research area lacks a synthesis. In line with this, our scoping review aimed to identify observable cues that offer meaningful insight into individuals’ anxiety and to determine how these cues can be measured. Methods: We followed the PRISMA guidelines for scoping reviews. The search string containing terms related to anxiety and observable cues was entered into four databases (Web of Science, MEDLINE, ERIC, IEEE). While the search – limited to English peer-reviewed records published from 2012 onwards – initially yielded 2311 records, only 33 articles fit our selection criteria and were included in the final synthesis. Results: The scoping review unravelled various categories of observable cues of anxiety, specifically those related to facial expressions, speech and language, breathing, skin, heart, cognitive control, sleep, activity and motion, location data and smartphone use. Moreover, we identified various approaches for measuring these cues, including wearable devices, and analysing smartphone usage and social media activity. Conclusions: Our scoping review points to several physiological and behavioural cues associated with anxiety and highlights how these can be measured. These novel insights may be helpful for healthcare practitioners and fuel future research and technology development. However, as many cues were investigated only in a single study, more evidence is needed to generalise these findings and implement them into practice with greater confidence. 7. Prevalence of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) : systematic review and meta-analysisSara Popit, Klara Šerod, Igor Locatelli, Matej Štuhec, 2024, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Background: The estimates of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) prevalence across various studies are significantly variable, contributing to uncertainty in ADHD prevalence estimation. Previous systematic reviews and meta-analyses have attributed this variability primarily to the methodological characteristics of the studies, including the diagnostic criteria, source of information, and impairment requirement for the diagnosis. Methods: Review identified studies reporting ADHD prevalence in representative samples of children and adults in Europe and worldwide. Studies that were conducted in the general population were included. We focused on studies that report ADHD prevalence based on clinical diagnosis (clinical diagnostic criteria based on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and International Classification of Diseases criteria, other diagnostic tools, such as various scales or interviews based on clinical diagnostic criteria). PubMed/Medline was searched to identify relevant articles published until 2024/2/01. The study was registered in PROSPERO (CRD42020200220) and followed Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses 2020 guidelines for systematic review and meta-analysis. Results: In total, 117 studies were subjected to full evaluation. In the meta-analysis, 103 studies representing 159 independent datapoints were included. The overall prevalence of ADHD in register studies was 1.6%, 95% CI [0.9; 3.0], in survey studies 5.0%, 95% CI [2.9; 8.6], in one-stage clinical studies 4.2%, 95% CI [2.9; 6.0], and in two-stage clinical studies 4.8%, 95% CI [4.0; 5.8]. Conclusions: Exact comparisons among studies with different diagnostic criteria and types of sampling can impact prevalence estimates. When comparing data from methodologically different studies, these factors need to be considered. 8. Long-term impact of community psychiatric care on quality of life amongst people living with schizophrenia : a systematic reviewJožica Černe Kolarič, Anja Plemenitaš Ilješ, Darja Kraner, Vida Gönc, Mateja Lorber, Nataša Mlinar Reljić, Zvonka Fekonja, Sergej Kmetec, 2024, pregledni znanstveni članek Opis: The review examines the long-term impact of community psychiatric care on improving the quality of life of people with schizophrenia. It addresses the global burden of this disorder and the need for effective community-based care strategies. A systematic literature search was conducted in databases such as CINAHL, Medline, Web of Science, Sage and ScienceDirect, with the search lasting until March 2024 and following the PRISMA guidelines. The inclusion criteria targeted studies that addressed the long-term effects of community mental health care for people aged 18 years and older with schizophrenia and included both quantitative and qualitative research designs. Studies unrelated to the research question or with significant methodological flaws were excluded. The risk of bias was assessed using GRADE and GRADECERqual, in addition to critical appraisal using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) checklists. Independent screening and data extraction was performed, with results summarised by thematic analysis. In total, 11 studies met the inclusion criteria and included cross-sectional, cohort, qualitative and randomised controlled trial designs. The results showed that community psychiatric care significantly improves the quality of life, well-being and social integration of people with schizophrenia. Effective interventions identified include psychoeducation, cognitive behavioural therapy, social skills training and individualised care plans. However, challenges such as limited resources, labour shortages and social stigma, particularly in low-income neighbourhoods, were also identified. This study highlights the importance of continuous, personalised, multidisciplinary community-based care for sustainable mental health outcomes. Further research is recommended to investigate the long-term impact and strategies to overcome implementation challenges.
