Obračalni vsipnik za zalaganje peskalnih strojevDavid Živič, 2024, undergraduate thesis Abstract: Pri uporabi peskalnega stroja je treba poskrbeti za ustrezno odmerjanje oz. doziranje, da poteka obratovanje nemoteno. Glavna zahteva je bila izboljšati funkcionalnost naprave in avtomatizacija peskanja. Prikazane in obravnavane so najpomembnejše komponente naprave. Prav tako so izvedeni preračuni ter simulacije obračalnega vsipnika za zalaganje peskalnih strojev s pomočjo metode končnih elementov (MKE) s programom Autodesk Inventor. Končni rezultat zaključnega dela je obračalni vsipnik, ki ga podjetje uporablja za avtomatizirano zalaganje dveh peskalnih strojev v proizvodnji podjetja.

2. Critical review of the use of the Rorschach in European courtsIgor Areh, Fanny Verkampt, Alfred Allan, 2022, original scientific article Abstract: In relation to the admissibility of evidence obtained using projective personality tests arose in F v. Bevándorlási és Állampolgársági Hivatam (2018). The Court of Justice of the European Union has held that an expert's report can only be accepted if it is based on the international scientific community's standards, but has refrained from stipulating what these standards are. It appears timely for European psychologists to decide what standards should be applied to determine whether or not a test is appropriate for psycholegal use. We propose standards and then apply them to the Rorschach because it was used in this case and is an exemplar of projective tests. We conclude that the Rorschach does not meet the proposed standards and that psychologists should abstain from using it in legal proceedings even in the absence of a clear judicial prohibition.

The Impact of Cardiorespiratory and Metabolic Parameters on Match Running Performance (MRP) in National-Level Football Players : a multiple regression analysisRadivoje Radaković, Borko Katanić, Mima Stanković, Bojan Mašanović, Suzana Žilič Fišer, 2024, original scientific article Abstract: The aim of the study was to examine the association between cardiorespiratory and
metabolic parameters and match running performance (MRP) in highly trained football players. The
sample of participants consisted of 41 national-level football players (aged 23.20 ± 3.40 years, body
height 182.00 ± 5.15 cm, and body mass 76.86 ± 6.06 kg) from the Serbian Super league. For the
purposes of this research, the following measurements were applied. A maximal multistage progressive treadmill test, with a direct measurement of maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max) (using
Fitmate MED, Cosmed, Rome, Italy) was conducted, alongside continuous heart rate monitoring.
Capillary blood samples were taken from the hyperemic area using specific test strips, and, after
sample collection, lactate concentration was immediately determined using a lactate analyzer. MRP
variables were analyzed according to the BioIRC model of motion structure analysis, based on existing
standards for profiling movement intensity. The results of multiple regression analysis indicated
an association between cardiac parameters and total distance (R2 = 54.3%, p = 0.000), high-speed
running (R2 = 46.4%, p = 0.000), and jogging (R2 = 33.6%, p = 0.004). Regression analysis revealed
an association between cardiorespiratory parameters and total distance (R2 = 24.8%, p = 0.014), and
high-speed running (R2 = 20%, p = 0.039). Meanwhile, no association was found between lactate
concentration and running performance. The explanation for these regression analysis results is based
on the observation that functional abilities represent significant potential for expressing movement
performance, a crucial condition for success in football.

4. Professional qualifications recognition of doctors in the EU : a perspective of EU citizens and third-country nationalsŽiva Šuta, Karmen Pišek Šuta, 2023, original scientific article Abstract: This article explores the applicable rules in the context of professional qualifications recognition of doctors in the EU. In the pursuit of this examination, it focuses on two groups of individuals, namely EU citizens and third-country nationals, and differentiates between qualifications obtained in the EU and qualifications obtained outside EU. While EU citizens are generally free to pursue their medical profession in any EU Member State, third-country nationals experience difficulties in the recognition of their professional qualifications as they fall outside the scope of specific rules on professional qualifications recognition and do not enjoy free movement rights. The assessment of the applicable rules is followed by a conclusion that the EU citizens are protected under the EU legal framework for the recognition of professional qualifications, however, the legal framework for the recognition of foreign professional qualifications is still absent and depends largely upon general rules applicable to third-country nationals willing to settle and work in the EU.

In the search for the ideal mentor by applying the "Mentoring for effective teaching practice instrument"Mateja Ploj Virtič, Andre Du Plessis, Andrej Šorgo, 2023, original scientific article Abstract: The study aims to explore and analyse the perceived experiences of Slovenian pre-service teachers with their mentors during their teaching practicum, by using the "Mentoring for effective teaching practice instrument (METPI)". Conclusions were based on 105 responses using paper and pencil, collected from Slovenian preservice teachers in their 4th year of study. The initial set of 62 items was shortened to 36 items for inclusion in the models. From two concurrent SEM models, it was concluded that students found their experiences related to Hudson's five-factor model, consisting of personal attributes of their mentor, modelling, pedagogical knowledge, system requirements and feedback, to be satisfactory, while their experience pertaining to Information and Communication Technology as a new, additional factor with reference to their mentor, was unsatisfactory. Several recommendations are made related to the dimensions, especially pertaining to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools.

6. Professional and organisational commitment in the hospitality sectorMarjetka Rangus, Bojana Radenković-Šošić, Srđan Milošević, Jože Hočevar, Iva Škrbić, Mladen Knežević, 2020, original scientific article Abstract: The purpose of the study is to examinewhether two differentwork commitment profiles influence service quality in the hospitality sector in Slovenia and Serbia and how the implications of the differences can be used in the tourism and hospitality industry. Combining a qualitative and quantitative approach, two new instruments were developed for this study. The first instrumentwas created on the basis of short, structured interviews with employees. Two factors explaining the two different commitment profiles were determined with statistical analysis and with themethod of clustering, four dimensions of commitment profiles formingwere extracted. The second instrument was developed on the basis of existing evaluation forms for employees in the tourism industry and interviews with leading and middle managers of hotels. The findings of the study show that there is a small proportion of professionallyoriented employees in the tourism sector, and the difference among employees is evident in the ranking of working values. These results could be useful formanagers in planning and organising their human resources and also in planning further development of their companies% human resource policies. The original contribution of the article is the ranking of working values and the perception of quality work by employees in the hospitality sector. The study also reveals new evidence on different types of commitment profiles.

This study aims to examine factors related to the job satisfaction of triaging nurses and their professional capability in the clinical setting.
Background
Triage is a complex process that relies on making decisions in favour of the patient and his treatment. The professional capability of a triaging nurse is an important psychological construct of job satisfaction.
Methods
The study used a mixed-method methodology, with data collection based on an explanatory research design. The research instrument in the quantitative part was a survey questionnaire, and in the qualitative part, a semi-structured interview. The results were integrated using the ‘Pillar Integration Process’.
Results
There are significant relationships between professional capability and job satisfaction. Six main topics were exposed: characteristics and traits, work organization, safety is the key, burdening circumstances, capability and self-evaluation.
Conclusion
Professional capability is associated with job satisfaction. The necessary managerial changes should be made to achieve job satisfaction and develop professional competence while focusing on already trained and competent triage nurses, as satisfied triage nurses will stay longer in the institution.
Implications for Nursing Management
The manager's job is to be aware of the level of job satisfaction, take care to develop their employee's professional capability and take action in case of disrupted balance.

9. Obligatory insurance as a form of social engineering : a comparison paper between the United States, Italy, Aruba and PolandThomas Allan Heller, Silvia Rigoldi, Jessica Burgos, Mateusz Sasinowski, 2019, original scientific article Abstract: Insurance has been around for centuries. Traditionally, it has been purchased to protect the purchaser, namely, the insured. Over time, the insurance industry has developed an increasing number of products, so that at present one can purchase insurance to cover nearly every risk imaginable. The concept of mandatory or obligatory insurance is a fairly recent development. It traces its origins to the widespread use of the motor vehicle and also employment. Obligatory insurance is designed to protect certain classes of persons, such as workers and those who sustain injury and damage at the hands of others. In this article, the authors compare the current state of obligatory insurance in four democratic countries: the United States, Italy, Aruba and Poland. The aim of the article is to catalogue the similarities and differences in obligatory insurance in those four countries. The countries studied all have obligatory insurance designed to offer some degree of protection to workers injured on the job, and in the course and scope of their work, and to those involved in vehicular collisions. The other primary takeaway from our research is that, predictably, there is less obligatory insurance in the United States than in the other countries studied.

Teaching vocabulary items related to the field of nursing at the secondary levelPetra Andrejašič, 2018, master's thesis Abstract: In the following MA thesis professional language is presented in detail. Professional language is based on general one and characterized by technical terminology. It is an essential part of the lessons in vocational programmes, as it forms the basis for students’ future profession. According to the curriculum, a part of English lessons (English as a foreign language) in vocational programmes should be dedicated to professional language in order to prepare students for their career paths/professional activities throughout Europe. To gain as good learning outcomes as possible, it is of great importance that foreign language teachers integrate professional language into the lessons gradually and in cooperation with teachers of vocation specific subjects. Teachers plan professional foreign language lessons in accordance with the curriculum, while taking into account the needs and wishes of their students. In this way, they aim at efficient and successful learning and at the same time exercise one of the key guiding principles of successful teaching and learning – learner-centred teaching. Choosing appropriate vocabulary is of key importance, as well as giving clear, short explanations of new or unknown vocabulary items that are accompanied by examples of their use and, if needed, also by translations/mother tongue equivalents. Teachers should inform students of different learning strategies that facilitate their learning or acquiring new vocabulary. They should also decide on appropriate teaching methods that motivate students and contribute to their independent learning, as well as teaching/learning materials. As learning foreign languages usually starts with reading, its main features are presented in the MA thesis, focusing on reading professional foreign language texts.
In the empirical part our research into the importance of learning professional language in foreign language classes is presented. The survey was carried out among third year students of the nursing school. The findings shows how important they consider learning a professional foreign language, how motivated they are for learning it, and if professional language test results were better compared to all the other foreign language tests.
