Quality evaluation information support in higher education

Abstract: Background and Purpose: The objective of this research was to develop a proposal of the evaluation information support in higher education that encompasses the Quality Assessor’s and Quality Analyst’s work support. Furthermore, the proposal also includes the fields evaluated in the processes of external evaluation of the higher education institutes by the Slovenian National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (hereinafter referred to as »NAKVIS«). Methodology: The method called the “Multi-Attribute Utility Theory” (hereinafter referred to as “MAUT”) and MS Excel were used for the work support of the Quality Assessors, while the expert modelling in the Decision Expert programme (hereinafter referred to as “Dexi programme”) was used for the work support of the Quality Analysts. Results: The identified criteria allow a uniform evaluation, regardless of the Assessor. The MS Excel template with automatic calculation was made as the technical support for an evaluator and the expert model in Dexi programme was designed for a Quality Analyst. Conclusion: The model of the Higher Education Institute quality evaluation, as presented in this article, can provide a comprehensive and transparent consideration of quality at the Faculty, and, in particular, facilitate the evaluation process due to its information and technical support.

Comparative analysis of collaborative and simulation based learning in the management environment

Abstract: Purpose of the study is to compare two different approaches to the collaborative problem solving one in a highly controlled laboratory experiment: Optimisation of business politics using business simulator at different experimental condition which reflect different feedback information structure and one in a collaborative environment of the social media, characterised by non-structured, rule-free and even chaotic feedback information. Comparative analyses of participant’s opinion who participate in experiments have been considered in order to find common characteristics relevant for group/collaborative problem solving. Based on these findings a general explanatory causal loop model of collaborative learning during problem solving was built.

Vloga C4I sistemov ognjene podpore v sodobnih oboroženih silah : magistrska naloga

Abstract: Sodobni načini bojevanja bistveno spreminjajo osnovne priprave in izvajanja bojnih delovanj. Kakor v vsakdanjem življenju je postal računalnik nepogrešljiv tudi na bojišču. Digitalna slika bojišča je osnova, ki pomeni prednost v izvajanju bojevanja in postaja nuja za uspešno delovanje. Danes postaja informacija v realnem času potreba, ki pomeni v procesu odločanja ključni element za dosego zadovoljivih rezultatov in omogoča preživetje v vseh oblikah bojnega delovanja. Zasnova C4I sistemov mora biti izvedena tako, da nudi poveljujočemu kadru in vsem udeležencem jasno, sliko in s tem orodje za hitrejše in pravilnejše sprejemanje odločitev na vseh ravneh. Modularna zgradba programa mora omogočati vključitev vseh sedanjih in bodočih senzorjev v obstoječo zasnovo. Zagotavljati mora tudi povezavo z obstoječimi rešitvami partnerskih držav tako na strateškem, operativnem in taktičnem nivoju. Vse več rešitev se išče tudi v povezavi specialističnih nacionalnih programov, kot so sistemi ognjene podpore v združene sisteme delovanja. Takšni sistemi delujejo internacionalno na svojem področju in lahko služijo kot primer tudi drugim zelo pomembnim dejavnikom internacionalnega delovanja, to je logistiki.
