MLADINSKI ROMANI PISATELJICE ANNE FINE

Opis: S terminom mladinski roman označujemo daljša mladinska prozna besedila, ki jih bere mladina po 12. letu starosti. Problematiko mladinskega realističnega romana na Slovenskem odpira Dragica Haramija, zato so v diplomskem delu zajeta mnenja in ugotovitve njenih študij, poleg nje pa še Marjane Kobe, Igorja Sakside in Metke Kordigel. V diplomskem delu so predstavljene značilnosti mladinskega romana, njegove temeljne morfološke značilnosti in zgradba. Opisan je razvoj tega žanra, ki je sicer najmlajši med žanri. Pri tem so navedeni pogledi različnih teoretikov na obstoj in teorijo mladinskega romana. V diplomskem delu so natančno raziskane in analizirane morfološke značilnosti štirih mladinskih romanov pisateljice Anne Fine, ki so prevedeni v slovenski jezik, in sicer Spretna Tulip, Zijalo, V devetih nebesih in Dojenčki iz moke. Predstavljena sta biografija in bibliografija pisateljice Anne Fine. Po kronološkem zaporedju so naštete vse nagrade, ki jih je do sedaj prejela za svoje delo.

Influence of temperature and pressure during PGSS[sup]TM micronization and storage time on degree of crystallinity and crystal forms of monostearate and tristearate

Opis: For controlling the degree of crystallinity and crystal form during particle formation using supercritical fluids, knowledge of pressure influence on solid-liquid-gas (S-L-G) equilibrium and solubility data of the system is crucial. S-L-G equilibrium data were determined in pressure range from 50 to 600 bar for systems monostearate/CO2 and tristearate/CO2 using a high-pressure view cell. Results showed a temperature minimum for both systems.The solubilities of CO2 in liquid glycerides were high: maximum solubilities, which were determined at temperatures 70 and 90 °C and pressure range from 50 to 450 bar, were from 50 to 90 mol%. Physical characteristics of micronized monostearate and tristearate samples were studied in detail after micronization and after 3 months of storage at 20 °C.

Relationship between the undrained shear strength, water content, and mineralogical properties of fine-grained soils

Opis: The relationship between the undrained shear strength of fine-grained soils and the water content can be described with a nonlinear function in which the type of soil is determined by two parameters. It is well known that these parameters depend mainly on the mineral compositions of soilsč these relationships, however, have not yet been investigated. The findings describedin this paper define those mineralogical properties of soils which determine the values of both parameters. Experimentally obtained results suggest that the parameters primarily depend on the size of the clay minerals,their quantity in soil composition, and the interlayer water quantityin the expanding clay minerals. As this dependence is well defined, the parameters, and thus the undrained shear strength at different water content, can be defined from knowledge of these mineralogical soil properties.

The characterisation of nanosized nickel-zinc ferrites synthesized within reverse micelles of CTAB/1-hexanol/water microemulsion

Opis: Stoichiometric nanocrystalline nickel-zinc ferrites were synthesized by a reverse micelle method following a multi-microemulsion approach. Different pH values were chosen for the alkali precipitating reaction during the synthesis of different powders. Synthesized, as-dried and subsequently calcined powders were characterized in terms of their magnetic properties. XRD analyses and specific-surface area measurements were used to determine the average particlesizes of the synthesized samples. DCS and TGA measurements were performed to reveal the phase transitions within the samples at elevated temperatures, whereas TEM was used to view and record the microstructure of the nanosized ferrite samples. A possible mechanism of the formation of the synthesized NiZn-ferrite was also discussed.

TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE SYSTEM FOR NON-BUREAUCRATIC GOVERNMENT

Opis: The present doctoral thesis develops a pioneering system for the self-management of jural eligibilities by means of ICTs as the basis for a novel form of government of juropolitical societies. By means of this system we aim to contribute towards a form of government that would not require a dedicated civil service for the creation, storage, change, and deletion of jural eligibilities in the context of the res publica. In the thesis we explore the concept of jural relations as the atomic links of governmental systems, the composition of the jural relations as such, as well as the role of the jural subjectivity as a crucial component for creating complex systems of jural relations that serve as the underlying structures of juropolitical systems. We then walk through the history of the civil service – the bureaucratic machine, as Banfield called it, to understand its role and implications on the course of civilization, up till present time, where we discuss the impacts of ICTs on the development of the bureaucratic machine as such. We argue that the changes which ICTs so far brought to the government sector through what is known as e-government, e-democracy, and e-governance respectively, are based on unsustainable artefacts and hence there are strong reasons for them to be considered more of a burden to future generations, rather than a source of relief. Based on the implications of the so explored context we describe a model for an information system that would enable self-managed creation and determination of jural eligibilities, and thus self-managed government of juropolitical societies as such. We call this model Sustainable Non-Bureaucratic Government (SNBG). SNBG bases on a network of electronic registries, which store jural facts, from which eligibilities can be derived through a dedicated mechanism, which we call constellation-based reasoning (CBR). CBR bases on a purposely developed fine-grained data access control mechanism, which does not rely on predefined accessor roles, but dynamically enables / disables access to data based on the context of the request and the context of the data stored in the accessed registry. As such, CBR is purposely designed to support changing the rules of access to the stored data by means of collaborative decision making, as such is required in the political legislative context, whereby the rules that regulate such decision making, are again governed by the very same system, which ensures full flexibility of the SNBG system to fluidly undergo at design-time unpredictable transitions that would happen through time. This feature amongst others then, assures the system’s sustainability. We describe the architecture and the stakeholders of SNBG, as well as auxiliary constructs for planning and communicating regulations which make-up the CBR rules. We define the functional characteristics that instances of the electronic registries must satisfy in order to assure sustainability and to be applicable in the juropolitical context in accordance with core jural principles (and in order to avoid the mistakes as conducted in the course of development of e-government artefacts). Then, we describe the instantiation of a prototype SNBG system, i.e. the instantiation of a respective electronic registry that provides CBR-based access to the underlying data stored in a relational database. We evaluate this prototype instantiation based on three demo applications, which prove its technical feasibility in different scenarios. Finally, we evaluate the SNBG model in four different real-world scenarios to argue for its feasibility in crucial governance situations.

Grammar school students' opinions on the art curriculum

Opis: The article presents the attitude of grammar school students towards the art curriculum. It first provides an overview of the characteristics of contemporary art education, with an emphasis on the postmodern art curriculum and on linking course content with students’ interests. The study is based on the descriptive and causal non-experimental method, with a sample comprising 387 Slovenian, Estonian and Portuguese students. It was established that the students place the highest value on developing creativity, and are less interested in art history content and learning about the basics of the formal art language. They are attracted to contemporary topics, such as graffiti, multicultural art, the use of new media, and digital technologies. The results of the study provide opportunities for future comparative analyses and starting points for updating art curricula.

Impact energy analysis of quenched and tempered fine grain structural steel specimens after weld thermal cycle simulation

Opis: The paper presents impact energy results of thermal cycle simulated specimens of quenched and tempered fine grain structural steel S960QL. These results are obtained by examining notched Charpy specimens. Upon performed metallographic analysis and measured hardness, total impact energy is separated into ductile and brittle components.

Gallery-pedagogical activities and fine arts in the first three years of primary school

Opis: This article discusses the integration of pupils of the first educational period of the primary school in the gallery-pedagogical activities within the regular classes. In a qualitative study, we examined the extent to which these students are involved in the activities of the gallery, how the planning and the execution of visiting the curators-educators is going, how many works of art of the current exhibition the students see, and in which way they are presented to them. We were also interested in the reactions of the students on the works of art and their sense of self-initiative. The study has shown the importance of museums and galleries, where students have the opportunity to experience the works of art in an authentic gallery area. This way the students experience art differently, they estimate it, and think about it. Having developed the museum pedagogy or pedagogical activities, the curators-educators can contribute a lot to accepting art among the youngest students.

Vpliv rastnega zaviralca rasti Dazide Enhance® na rast in razvoj hibridnih velikocvetnih mačeh

Opis: V letu 2015 smo v rastlinjaku Fakultete za kmetijstvo in biosistemske vede, Univerze v Mariboru proučevali vpliv različnih koncentracij (kontrola, 0,15 %, 0,30 % in 0,50 %) zaviralca rasti Dazide Enhance® na rast in razvoj štirih sort hibridnih velikocvetnih mačeh: 'Yellow with Blotch', 'Deep Blue', 'Pure Orange' in 'Violet & White'. Rastline smo z rastnim zaviralcem tretirali v treh terminih. Ugotovili smo, da z uporabo sredstva pridelamo bolj kompaktne in s tem bolj kvalitetne rastline. Koncentracija rastnega zaviralca je imela značilen vpliv na morfološke lastnosti proučevanih sort. Sorte so bile različno dovzetne na pripravek. Sorta 'Pure Orange' je bila bolj dovzetna na pripravek Dazide Enhance® in se je značilen vpliv na morfološke lastnosti ugotavljal pri 0,3 % koncentraciji, pri sortah 'Yellow with Blotch', 'Deep Blue' in 'Violet & White' pa se značilen vpliv na morfološke lastnosti ugotavlja pri 0,5 % koncentraciji sredstva.
