Medbesedilne reference in literarni kanon v otroški in mladinski književnostiDragica Haramija, 2023, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Prispevek je osredinjen na različne oblike medbesedilnosti v otroški in mladinski književnosti. Za povezovanje medbesedilnih elementov je nujno poznavanje kanonskih besedil, brez česar sodobna literarna dela, ki vsebujejo tovrstne elemente, ne funkcionirajo, ali pa se vsaj del zgodbe zaradi nepoznavanja izhodiščnega besedila izgubi. 2. Gender stereotypes in fairy tales – a case study comparison of Beauty and the BeastDanijela Vrhovac, 2019, magistrsko delo Opis: This master thesis deals with gender stereotypes in fairy tales and focuses on the story of the Beauty and the Beast and its movie and animated adaptations. The theoretical part is based on the history and development of fairy tales and ensures the explanations of the terms gender, gender stereotype, and sexism. The practical part is . based on the analysis of the two movie adaptations of the Beauty and the Beast: the live-action movie (2017) and the animated film (1991) . The aim of this thesis is to analyze typically stereotyped portrayals of the male and female characters in this particular fairy tale adaptations and furthermore analyze the differences between adaptations. The goal of this master thesis is also to find out whether some alterations or major changes connected with the depiction of the main characters and other significant changes in these versions have been made. The results of the comparison show a slight change in the stereotyped portrayal of the characters. The live-action version (2017) shows a more modern depiction of fairy tale gender stereotypes. 3. Postmodern analysis of magic realism and fairy tale elements in the movie Pan's LabyrinthSimona Skupek, 2016, diplomsko delo Opis: Guillermo del Toro created the movie Pan’s Labyrinth. In the movie he presents the story of a child named Ofelia set in 1944 in Spain. The time is after the civil war and people, tired of famine, have accepted the defeat of the Left and the regime of the winner, Francisco Franco, whose oppression is presented through the main characters and their stories. Del Toro presents the oppression in a unique way, by integrating fairy tale elements into the realistic plot. A close analysis of the movie reveals that we are not watching a fairy tale, but a magic realist movie. Fairy-tale elements are incorporated in the realistic plot so that the movie incorporates the techniques of magic realism. The movie is analysed as a magic realist narrative. The Modernized Characters of the Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood in Neil Gaiman's Picture Book The Wolves in the WallsSilvija Kunst Berčič, 2016, diplomsko delo Opis: The aim of this thesis is to investigate the influence of traditional fairy tales to contemporary stories for children and to compare their features. The thesis mainly focuses on the characters of Little Red Riding Hood and Lucy who is the protagonist in Gaiman’s picture book The wolves in the walls. Furthermore, the thesis discusses two Slovene variant versions of the fairy tale of Little Red Riding and deals with the issue of fear in modern stories. Another focus of interest are the stylistic devices which the author uses to increase and decrease the tension in the narrative. Since The Wolves in the Walls is a picture book, the thesis is interested in illustration and deals with the question how pictures and words act upon each other in this picture book.
