1. Implementation of the scheduling domain description modelAlenka Baggia, Robert Leskovar, Miroljub Kljajić, 2008, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: This paper presents the problem of auniform scheduling domain description. It was established that the algorithm used for scheduling is general, disregarding the type of scheduling domain. On the basis of five different scheduling domains, a general description model was developed. The research is focused on the programming application of the resource scheduling model, presented as a UML class diagram. Diverse meta-languages for the model description were considered. Of these XML, an EAV model and object oriented languages have shown to be the most effective. Even though Java is not widely used as a description language, it has proved effective as a meta-language for the description of the extensible scheduling model. 2. Ontology driven development of domain-specific languagesInes Čeh, Matej Črepinšek, Tomaž Kosar, Marjan Mernik, 2011, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Domain-specific languages (DSLs) are computer (programming, modeling, specification) languages devoted to solving problems in a specific domain. Thedevelopment of a DSL includes the following phases: decision, analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The least-known and least examined are analysis and design. Although various formal methodologies exist, domain analysis is still done informally most of the time. A common reason why formal methodologies are not used as often as they could be is that they are very demanding. Instead of developing a new, less complex methodology, we propose that domain analysis could be replaced with a previously existing analysis in another form. A particularly suitable form is the use of ontologies. This paper focuses on ontology-based domain analysis and how it can be incorporated into the DSL design phase. We will present the preliminary results of the Ontology2DSL framework, which can be used to help transform ontology to a DSL grammar incorporating concepts from a domain. 3. Wave motion in infinite inhomogeneous waveguidesIgor Špacapan, Miroslav Premrov, 2003, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The analysis of wave motion in infinite homogeneous waveguides, having a complicated cross-section and/or an irregular inclusion, is a rather difficult task for the majority of available methods, especially when striving for accurate results. In contrast, this presented procedure performed in the frequency domain, is simple to apply. It yields correct results because the radiation conditions are considerably accurately satisfied, and it offers a clear parametric insight into wave motion. This procedure uses the FE modelling of an analysed section of the waveguide. It is based on the decomposition of wave motion, distinguishing propagating and non-propagating wavemodes by solving the eigenvalue problem. The presented examples demonstrate the effectiveness of this procedure, whilst a comparison between computed and analytical results demonstrates its accuracy. 4. Using ontologies in the domain analysis of domain-specific languagesRobert Tairas, Marjan Mernik, Jeffrey G. Gray, 2008, objavljeni znanstveni prispevek na konferenci Opis: The design stage of domain-specific language development, which includes domain analysis, has not received as much attention compared to the subsequentstage of language implementation. This paper investigates the use of ontology in domain analysis for the development of a domain-specific language. The standard process of ontology development is investigated as an aid to determine the pertinent information regarding the domain (e.g., the conceptualization of the domain and the common and variable elements of the domain) that should be modeled in a language for the domain. Our observations suggest that ontology assists in the initial phase of domain understanding and can be combined with further formal domain analysis methods during the development of a domain-specific language.
