Improper communication conditions deviations in behaviour
Majda Pšunder, Antonija Milivojević Krajnčič, 2010, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: The purpose of the research is to study the way the adolescents communicate with their parents as these relations are frequently connected to different forms of improper behaviour. Communication or dialogue between a growing-up adolescent and the parents are often made difficult, most frequently the improper way of communication (absence, deficiency) between the adolescent and the parents is shown in his/her behaviour. The research is based on the conviction, pointed out by numerous experts, that the adolescent's extreme behaviour (experimenting with illegal substances, alcohol consumption, expressing aggression...) often depends on flexibility of family relations and preparedness of the parents to have a dialogue with the adolescents. During the period of adolescence the communication with the parents becomes more and more selective, which means that the adolescent does not share certain information to the parents. They do not share some things, for instance, they rather speak about sexuality with their peers (Puklek Levpušček, 2001; Zupančič and Svetina, 1995-2002). Yet the way of communication with which conflicts are solved represents one of the most important and crucial moments in development of relationships between adolescents and the parents. In the empirical part of the research we primarily wanted to study how often certain forms of problematic behaviour appear at school in adolescents (younger and older) in early phase of adolescence. Our primary goal of the research was to find out whether there is a connection between the adolescent's improper communication with the parents and his/her problematic behaviour, as improper behaviour at school cannot be treated separately from the primary environment. In this research, we used descriptive and causal non-experimental method of empirical pedagogical research. The used measurement instruments include two non-standardized questionnaires: The frequency of problematic forms of behaviour at school, and Improper communication between the adolescents and the parents. The research was performed in the school year 2008/2009 and was based on the sample of 289 of 7th graders of the primary school and the 1st graders of a secondary school in Maribor community.

The influence of the field of study on the use of modern information and communication technologies among student and teachers
Mateja Pšunder, Mateja Ploj Virtič, 2010, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: Being a teacher is becoming a growingly demanding job, as the swift development of modern technologies is undoubtedly expanding the required competence framework. Different information and communication technologies have become part of the necessary competencies, as teachers are educators of the Y generation, which is characterised by its members using the computer in each aspect of their lives. The use of the computer is specific for each individual field of instruction and as such cannot be directly compared. This article presents the results of a survey into how the field of study influences the use of ICT and the computer in student teachers. The sample covered fourth grade students of diff erent fields of study (teacher training programmes): students of natural, technical and computer sciences, students of social sciences and humanities and students of the department of elementary education. Our research has shown that students of all three training programmes often use the computer in their everyday life but slightly less often for study purposes. Students of natural, technical and computer science reported about the use of educational portals more often than students of the other two fields of study did, while there were also differences in the use of individual portals among students of individual fields of study. Our research has further shown that students of natural, technical and computer science provided the most positive feedback about the availability of computers at the faculty, their performance, software, internet access at the faculty and internet access in their town of study.

Aesthetics and creativity in e-learning material
Matjaž Duh, Marjan Krašna, 2011, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: We do know that new learning material must be interactive and actively involve students in the learning process. The idea is generally good but the implementation sometimes falls behind. During the analysis of e-learning materials that are publicly available, we discovered some noticeable and subtle flaws in the materials. The contemporary design paradigm of e-learning materials requires products that are didactically useful and aesthetically appropriate. The quality assured development of e-learning materials should be a part of education in all pedagogical studies. Students who study special didactical disciplines should acquire a critical view of the application of e-learning materials through their own prepared presentations. This article presents a discussion on the aesthetic conditions for designing of e-learning materials. The fundamental parameters for the assessment of aesthetically suitable e-learning materials will be reviewed as well as options for involving students in the learning process.

The development of four-year-old child's competences with the help of information-communication technology
Jurka Lepičnik-Vodopivec, Pija Samec, 2012, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: Nowadays it is very difficult to avoid the information-communication technology. It is present everywhere: in the business world, civil services, education, at home. The ability to search, choose and use relevant data and information among endless choices, offered by the modern technology, is also seen as a key competence. This article presents the influence which the ICT has on the development of four-year-old children's competences. The present issue is a part of an extensive study which also deals with children's access to the ICT and its usage at home. The data was gathered with the help of 130 parents, who filled out a questionnaire and provided us with their opinions about their children's usage of the ICT at home. We discovered that the ICT influences the development of certain competences to some extent. We also tried to see if there are any differences based on the child's gender and parents' level of education.

The role of digital competences in electronic education
Matjaž Duh, Tomaž Bratina, Marjan Krašna, 2012, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: The theoretical contribution to the use of modern information and communication technology in educational processes should be discussed critically. The multimedia learning materials and their use at different stages of the educational process in the context of their technical, educational, communicational and aesthetic quality have been reviewed from different perspective. There are many advantages in using multimedia learning materials in education but also disadvantages. Excesive use of electronic learning can lead to the possible unwanted situation in student personal development and upbringing goals may not be achieved. Since interactive multimedia learning materials are becoming more widely used in education they must be added into the teachers qualifications. Only competente teachers can use full potential of multimedia learning materials. How multimedia learning materials in all phases of education is used was tested on primary school teachers. Results are very useful for further teachers' education. The fear that educational process may loose some human quality is real.
