Towards a virtual product modelAndrej Tibaut, Danijel Rebolj, 2003, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Today, many researchers working on the information management process in construction recognise the problem of modelling complex product-related data structures. Furthermore, many experts doubt whether an all-inclusive-product-model is a solution for an integrated information environment that should efficiently support the life cycle of a product. It seems that rich experiences in product modelling gathered during the last decade do not necessarily lead to better models but rather to the awareness the more complex the product models are, the more rgid and less usable they become in practice. The paper first summarises some deficiencies of complex product models and then introduces a new conceptual solution, called "virtual product model", which is based on the on the decomposition of a conventional product model. The concept investigates the dissharmony in the structure and semantics of distributed (virtual) parts by applying agent technology and then the tuple space communication model.

Fiscal impact of electronic fee collection system on long-run efficiencyTomaž Kramberger, Uroš Kramar, Andreja Čurin, Marko Cedilnik, Martin Lipičnik, Viktor Tajnšek, 2012, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The transport infrastructure is extremely important for economic development and the labour mobility and competitiveness of European economy. However it is becoming increasingly difficult for government to publicly fund transport infrastructures. Therefore the decision to implement toll roads in Europe as a transport-policy instrument is an important shift in the funding of infrastructure. Adoption of appropriate technology has implications on the efficiency of the system. The mathematical model developed upon and simulations were carried out on several scenarios given the different types of technology. The results suggest that DSRC technology employed on motorways to be the most efficient.

Educating teachers and multipliers for future work with the elderly and the role of motivational workshops for the elderly's future participation in ICT training coursesHelena Blažun Vošner, Kaija Saranto, Janez Vošner, 2013, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: To find potential connection between positive experiences from ICT training courses gained by teachers and multipliers and their ability to affect elderlypeopleʼs willingness to learn ICT skills and motivate them for future participation in ICT training courses through motivational workshops. The evaluation of the ICT training courses for teachers and multipliers and the motivational workshops for the elderly. The data obtained was quantitative andanalyzed using SPSS software. The authors found a significant correlation between the number of possibilities for discussion provided during the ICT training courses for teachers and multipliers and the opinion that, from an overall perspective, the course helped the participants to be more sensitized to intergenerational issues and so understand the elderly people better. Similarly, the authors found significant correlation between the number of discussion possibilities during the motivational workshops for elderly and thelevel of interest in participation in future ICT training courses. Individuals who work in a teaching/learning process with elderly people need to be properly trained to be able to transfer knowledge and motivation to the elderly. Motivational workshops for the elderly should focus on individualizedlearning methods which positively affect elderlyʼs future motivation to learn ICT skills.

UVAJANJE ITIL PRIPOROČIL ZA UPRAVLJANJE INFORMACIJSKE TEHNOLOGIJE V VEČJEM PODJETJUMiha Habjan, 2014, diplomsko delo/naloga Opis: Diplomsko delo obravnava implementacijo smernic Information Technology Infrastructure Library (v nadaljevanju ITIL) priporočil v večjem podjetju, ki se ukvarja s prenosom električne energije. Obstoječa rešitev je za potrebe podjetja neustrezna zaradi pomanjkanja funkcionalnosti in omejene sledljivosti. To predstavlja problem, ki ga poskušajo rešiti z implementacijo ITIL smernic. V nalogi so obširno predstavljena priporočila ITIL in programske rešitve, s pomočjo katerih so smernice vpeljane. Uporabljena programska rešitev je IMB Maximo, modul SmartCloud Control Desk. Zelo podrobno so predstavljeni moduli ITIL-a, ki jih upošteva obravnavano podjetje. Proučevali smo zadovoljstvo zahtevnih in naprednejših uporabnikov z novo rešitvijo ter prilagojenimi procesi. To predstavlja raziskovalni del naloge. Primarna metoda za raziskovalni del je anketa. Dodano vrednost naloge predstavlja analiza rezultatov anket.

99. THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE IDEAS OF STEPHEN BAXTER'S AND ARTHUR C. CLARKE'S TRILOGY A TIME ODYSSEYAleš Šopinger, 2013, diplomsko delo Opis: Science and science fiction as well as the ideas that are used by them are interconnected, yet, while science tries to dismiss or confirm certain ideas, science fiction uses these same ideas as substance for their stories. With the advances in science, it is possible to that some ideas move from the realm of science fiction and become science fact.
In the trilogy A Time Odyssey, co-authored by Stephen Baxter and Arthur C. Clarke, we can also find ideas and assumptions that are a part of the realm of science fiction as well as science. A comparison was made between what was written in A Time Odyssey and the view of contemporary science, concerning the ideas and assumptions about the existence of alien life, time travel, and parallel worlds. The comparison showed that the mentioned ideas are a part of science fiction as well as the scientific world, because science is putting a lot of effort in devising mathematical models and theories to dismiss or confirm the ideas that life could exists outside planet Earth, that time travel could be possible, and that parallel worlds could exist, but yet need to be proven.

100. Zasnova logistične platforme po metodologiji technology roadmappingLuka Zepan, 2012, diplomsko delo Opis: Proces globalizacije je močno povečal količino trgovanja in poslovanja, kar zahteva rast in razvoj ne le transporta, ampak tudi vseh mogočih logističnih storitev. V diplomski nalogi je definirana logistična platforma, razloženi in našteti so razlogi za njeno uporabo, njeni cilji, kriteriji uspešnosti, naštete ter na kratko opisane so nekatere bolj uspešne delujoče logistične platforme.
V drugem delu diplome je predstavljen postopek zasnove in je razloženo, kaj vse je potrebno upoštevati in na kaj paziti pri načrtovanju logistične platforme. Na podlagi pridobljenega znanja, na analizi trenutnega stanja okolja, raziskavi in opisu orodij, potrebnih za izvedbo platforme, sem za zaključek sestavil in predstavil svoj morebitni primer logistične platforme republike Slovenije za transport z uporabo metodologije technology roadmapping ali zemljevid tehnologije.
