Trendi na področju kadrovskega managementa
2024

Abstract: Monografija predstavlja trende na različnih področjih kadrovskega managementa.

Alenka Baggia, 2021, proceedings

Abstract: Digitalna preobrazba organizacij predstavlja ključni element uspeha v sodobnem poslovnem svetu.

Industry 4.0 and the new simulation modelling paradigm
Blaž Rodič, 2017, original scientific article

Abstract: Background and Purpose: The aim of this paper is to present the influence of Industry 4.0 on the development of the new simulation modelling paradigm, embodied by the Digital Twin concept, and examine the adoption of the new paradigm via a multiple case study involving real-life R&D cases involving academia and industry. Design: We introduce the Industry 4.0 paradigm, presents its background, current state of development and its influence on the development of the simulation modelling paradigm. Further, we present the multiple case study methodology and examine several research and development projects involving automated industrial process modelling, presented in recent scientific publications and conclude with lessons learned. Results: We present the research problems and main results from five individual cases of adoption of the new simulation modelling paradigm. Main lesson learned is that while the new simulation modelling paradigm is being adopted by big companies and SMEs, there are significant differences depending on company size in problems that they face, and the methodologies and technologies they use to overcome the issues. Conclusion: While the examined cases indicate the acceptance of the new simulation modelling paradigm in the industrial and scientific communities, its adoption in academic environment requires close cooperation with industry partners and diversification of knowledge of researchers in order to build integrated, multi-level models of cyber-physical systems. As shown by the presented cases, lack of tools is not a problem, as the current generation of general purpose simulation modelling tools offers adequate integration options.

The role of tipping in reducing labour costs : case of sector retail petroleum products
Andrej Raspor, Gozdana Miglič, Goran Vukovič, Blaž Rodič, 2014, original scientific article

Abstract: The purpose of this paper was to determine whether tipping could reduce labour costs in the petroleum products retail sector. The research we present was designed on the basis of survey results gathered from Slovenian petrol stations in 2009 and 2010. We have identified the following factors in the tipping process: job satisfaction, flexibility, service quality, satisfaction, motivation and the factor of receiving tips. The analysis showed correlation between methods used to increase the value of tips and better service quality, increased financial and numerical flexibility, motivation, satisfaction upon receipt of tips and the method used to increase the value of tips. In order to decrease labour costs we propose that the management take control of tipping and integrates tips into the reward system. Also, the employees should be made aware about how tipping improves service and increases their income.

Enhancing the effectiveness of training through information feedback : the case of Slovenias's public administration
Blaž Rodič, Gozdana Miglič, Goran Vukovič, Bruno Završnik, Robert Leskovar, 2009, original scientific article

Abstract: After the fall of the Berlin wall, the public administrations in Central and Eastern European countries have had to adapt to an enormous number of changes in a relatively short time. Their civil servants are still facing a constantly changing regulatory framework which needs implementation and enforcement, as well as new demands from the growing private sector and the citizens. These challenges can only be met if the civil servants are highly qualified and constantly updating their qualifications. A sound system of in-service training is therefore crucial to keep the public servants on equal footing with the rapidly changing environment. The research presented in this paper analyzed the practices of training evaluation as an information feedback in a branch of Slovene state administration. We analyzed the attitudes of employees towards evaluation with the assumption that there probably are notable differences between the attitudes of public servants depending on their demographic qualities. The results of the research, that 414 public servants have participated in, show that the position in the hierarchy has the strongest influence on their attitude towards evaluation. Empirical data also show that most of the employees are willing to participate in a continuous and objective training evaluation, but the leading public servants are less involved in the evaluation than expected.

Issues in introducing training needs analysis in Slovenia´s public administration
Blaž Rodič, Goran Vukovič, Bruno Završnik, Gozdana Miglič, 2012, original scientific article

Abstract: A modern public administration requires professional, skilled, and well-trained civil servants. Training is an important development component of a modern civil service and its employees. As a basic method of human resources development, training should be adjusted to the administrative requirements and should be conducted continuously and systematically. All efficient training programs start with a needs assessment. Since training needs assessment is a critical part of the training function, this paper examines the practices of training needs assessment in a branch of Slovenias public administration. Our research assessed the influence of civil servants demographics characteristics on their attitude towards assessment. The results obtained indicate that the influence of hierarchical position prevailed, although the managers are less involved in needs analysis than expected. Empirical data also demonstrate that the majority of employees are aware of the importance of training needs analysis and the importance of clearly defined training objectives.
