Urgentni kardiovaskularni zapleti po cepljenju proti COVIDU-19

Abstract: Uvod: Ob množični uporabi cepiv proti COVIDU-19 se je izkazalo, da se pri nekaterih cepljenjih pojavljajo tudi nevarni kardiovaskularni neželeni učinki. S pomočjo pregleda literature smo želeli raziskati urgentne kardiovaskularne zaplete po cepljenju proti COVIDU-19. Metode: Izvedli smo pregled, analizo ter sintezo literature, pridobljene v mednarodnih podatkovnih bazah PubMed, MEDLINE, SAGE in Web of Science. Vključili smo polno dostopne znanstvene pregledne članke v slovenskem in angleškem jeziku, brez časovne omejitve, ki so vključevale ljudi. S pomočjo PRISMA diagrama smo prikazali potek pregleda. Vključene raziskave smo prikazali v evalvacijski tabeli, jih kritično ovrednotili s pomočjo evalvacijskega orodja JBI ter izvedli opisno sintezo. Rezultati: V analizo smo vključili 21 raziskav, 8 sistematičnih pregledov in 13 narativnih pregledov. Medtem ko ima večina cepljenih posameznikov ničelne ali blage neželene učinke, obstajajo dokazi, ki kažejo, da lahko majhno skupino cepljenih posameznikov prizadenejo pomembni urgentni kardiovaskularni zapleti. Diskusija in zaključek: Naš pregled omogoča vpogled v povezavo med cepljenjem proti COVIDU-19 in pojavnostjo urgentnih kardiovaskularnih zapletov, vendar ima določene omejitve. Velik del pregledane literature sestavljajo narativni in nesistematični pregledi, ki so informativni, a lahko vsebujejo subjektivnost in pomanjkanje stroge metodologije. To je vplivalo na celovitost in uravnoteženost naših ugotovitev, saj bi sistematični pregledi in metaanalize zagotovili močnejše in objektivnejše dokaze o varnosti in neželenih učinkih cepiva proti COVIDU-19.

Development of novel hybrid TPMS cellular lattices and their mechanical characterisation

Abstract: Uniform lattices composed of one type of lattice structure repeated periodically have been extensively investigated in literature for their mechanical and physical properties. Their promising properties, which include a desirable combination of high strength, stiffness and toughness, suggest that hybrid structures made of two or more lattice types can exhibit even more advantageous and desired properties. In this work, the mechanical properties of hybrid cellular structures designed using implicit functions are investigated both experimentally and numerically. Two proposed samples are investigated comprised of a Gyroid and a Diamond unit cells hybridised linearly and radially. First, a finite element computational model was utilised in LS-DYNA to capture the mechanical properties of the additively manufactured constituent lattices (i.e., Gyroid and Diamond) made of stainless steel 316L and tested under dynamic and quasi-static loading conditions. The model was validated for three different relative densities. Then, the validated computational model was then tested to predict the mechanical behaviour of the proposed hybrid lattices. Finally, the proposed hybrid lattices were fabricated and mechanically tested to obtain their mechanical properties. A good agreement between experimental and computational results was achieved. The validated computational models will be used to evaluate other designs of TPMS lattices and their crashworthiness performance for protective equipment applications.

Abstract: Zbornik prispevkov predstavlja recenzirane prispevke, ki so bili predstavljeni na 10. Nacionalni konferenci o varnosti v lokalnih skupnostih v Kočevju v novembru 2024. Glavna tema konference je varnost v lokalnih skupnostih, poudarek letošnje konference pa je na mirni, varni in inkluzivni družbi. Prispevki so rezultat raziskovanja v okviru programske skupine Fakultete za varnostne vede Univerze v Mariboru »Varnost v lokalnih skupnostih – primerjava ruralnih in urbanih okolij« in sodelovanja s praktiki iz policije in lokalnih skupnosti. Prispevki se osredotočajo na različne vidike zagotavljanja varnosti in zaznave groženj v lokalnih skupnostih, reševanje težav v multikulturnih skupnostih, značilnosti kriminalitete in preventivne ukrepe, preprečevanje mladoletniškega prestopništva, stališča do kaznovanja, kibernetsko varnost in trajnostni razvoj. Prispevki pa hkrati predstavljajo tudi primere dobrih praks.

Behaviour of cellular metamaterials under impact loading conditions : doctoral disertation

Abstract: This doctoral thesis investigates cell-size-graded metallic and non-metallic Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) structures' behavior under varying loading rates. Using experimental tests, analytical calculations, and advanced computer simulations, the research explores the interplay between material properties, cell size grading, and deformation mechanisms under different strain rates. The study focuses on enhancing the Direct Impact Hopkinson Bar (DIHB) setup for accurate force and displacement measurements and pioneering a method for quantifying inertial forces, critical at high strain rates. Key findings show that cell-size grading significantly affects deformation patterns, with initial deformation occurring in regions with smaller and lower stiffness cells across different loading rates and TPMS geometries. The research also highlights topology's influence on mechanical response, with photopolymer-based diamond structures showing superior energy absorption and gas-atomized steel structures favoring gyroid configurations. This underscores the importance of considering both topology and base material selection during TPMS design. The study demonstrates the increasing prominence of inertial forces as deformation rates rise, impacting structural response and failure likelihood in TPMS structures. These insights inform the design of optimized cellular metamaterials for high-performance applications requiring superior energy absorption and structural integrity under high loading rates. The research advances material characterization techniques and computational modelling capabilities, contributing to the development of next-generation cellular metamaterials for broader engineering applications.

Sodobno projektiranje variantnih rešitev izvedbe zunanjih sten večstanovanjske stavbe : magistrsko delo

Abstract: Magistrsko delo obravnava analizo skupnih vplivov stroškov, časa izvedbe in okoljskih dejavnikov pri izbiri ustrezne sestave konstrukcijskega sklopa zunanjih sten večstanovanjskega objekta. V okviru raziskave so bile analizirane in primerjane različne izvedbene variante konstrukcijskih sklopov zunanjih sten, pri čemer so bile uporabljene programske opreme Archicad, Bexel Manager in eco2soft. Izvedene analize so nam omogočile izbiro najbolj primerne variante glede na stroškovne, časovne in okoljske vidike. Analiza je bila osredotočena na ključe segmente, ki so se nanašali na posamezne vplive. Pri stroškovni učinkovitosti so bile oblikovane glavne analize cen, na podlagi katerih so bile analizirane variante konstrukcijskih sklopov z vidika stroškov izvedbe ter časa izvedbe. Poleg stroškovnega in časovnega vidika pa je bila izvedena implementacija analize vplivov na okolje, skladno z veljavnimi ISO in EN standardi, ki je vključevala oceno življenjskega cikla konstrukcijskih sklopov in materialov. Pomemben poudarek magistrskega dela je na implementaciji BIM pristopa, ki omogoča večdimenzionalno modeliranje in optimizacijo gradbenih projektov. Z izdelavo 3D, 4D in 5D BIM modelov je bilo mogoče podrobno analizirati ne le stroškovne in časovne vidike, temveč tudi preveriti potencialne konflikte med gradbenimi elementi ter izboljšati celovitost in učinkovitost projektiranja. Implementacija BIM pristopa je tako bistveno pripomogla k natančnosti ocene stroškovne in časovne simulacije projekta.

Načrtovanje in izdelava elektronskega multimetra z bluetooth povezljivostjo : diplomsko delo

Abstract: V diplomski nalogi so opisani načrtovanje, izdelava, testiranje in programiranje elektronskega multimetra z Bluetooth povezljivostjo. Poleg tega sta prikazana tudi sestava končnega izdelka in njegovo delovanje. Natančnosti vseh merilnih območij so bile ovrednotene in izvedeni so bili vsi potrebni varnostni testi. Izdelani multimeter je namenjen uporabi pri dolgotrajnih meritvah električnega toka in napetosti.

Izboljšanje lastnosti škrobnih aerogelov z dodatkom hitozana : diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študijskega programa I. stopnje

Abstract: Namen diplomskega dela je bil sintetizirati polisaharidne aerogele na osnovi škroba z dodatkom hitozana ter preučiti vpliv dodatka hitozana na njihove termične in strukturne lastnosti. Polisaharidni aerogeli so izjemno lahki in porozni materiali, ki so se zaradi svoje biokompatibilnosti in biorazgradljivosti v zadnjem desetletju izkazali kot obetavni kandidati za razvoj novih metod v biomedicinskih aplikacijah. V eksperimentalnem delu smo s sol-gel sintezo pripravili škrobno-hitozanske aerogele pri različnih koncentracijah obeh polimerov, ki smo jih nato posušili s superkritičnim ogljikovim dioksidom. Sušenje smo izvedli pri 40 °C in 120 bar na polindustrijski napravi za superkritično sušenje UHDE. Lastnosti škrobno-hitozanskih aerogelov smo karakterizirali z metodami plinske adsorpcije, vrstične elektronske mikroskopije (SEM), Fourierjeve transformacijske infrardeče spektroskopije (FTIR), termogravimetrične analize (TGA) in diferencialne vrstične kalorimetrije (DSC). Nazadnje smo z izvedbo testov nabrekanja in stabilnosti preučili njihovo obnašanje v vodnem mediju. Rezultati so pokazali, da se je hitozan uspešno vgradil v strukturo škrobnih aerogelov ter izboljšal njihove strukturne in termične lastnosti.

Self-organization in Slovenian public spending

Abstract: Private businesses are often entrusted with public contracts, wherein public money is allocated to a private company. This process raises concerns about transparency, even in the most developed democracies. But are there any regularities guiding this process? Do all private companies benefit equally from the state budgets? Here, we tackle these questions focusing on the case of Slovenia, which keeps excellent records of this kind of public spending. We examine a dataset detailing every transfer of public money to the private sector from January 2003 to May 2020. During this time, Slovenia has conducted business with no less than 248 989 private companies. We find that the cumulative distribution of money received per company can be reasonably well explained by a power-law or lognormal fit. We also show evidence for the first-mover advantage, and determine that companies receive new funding in a way that is roughly linear over time. These results indicate that, despite all human factors involved, Slovenian public spending is at least to some extent regulated by emergent self-organizing principles.
