In this paper, the solar panel is used in combination with a heat pump or with biomass sources to obtain heat, electricity, and hydrogen. Based on the Rankine thermodynamic cycle, hydrogen could be obtained from water with electrolysis and the CuCl thermochemical cycle. Furthermore, this study contains a life cycle analysis of solar panels. 12. Hydrogen production using a thermochemical cycleJurij Avsec, Urška Novosel, Dušan Strušnik, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Sustainable methods of clean fuel production are needed throughout the world due to depleting oil reserves and the need to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The technology based on fuel cells for electricity production or the transport sector has already been developed. However, a key missing element is a large-scale method of hydrogen production. The copper-chlorine (CuCI) combined thermochemical cycle is a promising thermochemical cycle that can produce large amounts of cheap hydrogen. A particularly promising part of this process is its use in combination with nuclear or thermal power plants. This paper focuses on a CuCl cycle and describes the models used to calculate thermodynamic and transport properties. This paper discusses the mathematical model for computing the thermodynamic properties for pure HCl and CuCl2. The mathematical model developed for the solid phase takes into account vibrations of atoms in molecules and intermolecular forces. This mathematical model can be used for the calculation of the thermodynamic properties of polyatomic crystals on the basis of the Einstein and Debye equations. The authors of this paper developed the model in the low temperature and high temperature region. All the analytical data have been compared with some experimental results and show a relatively good match. For the solid phase, the authors developed a model to calculate thermal conductivity based on electron and phonon contributions. 15. Design of wFoil 18 Albatross with hydrogen technologiesNejc Zore, Jurij Avsec, Urška Novosel, 2023, strokovni članek Opis: This article discusses the design of fuel cell propulsion for 18 albatross foil vessels. The purpose of this article determined the economic viability of such propulsion. WFoil 18 Albatross was chosen for a high-speed, low-power propulsion system. The hydrogen propulsion system for the Albatross vessel consists of the following parts:
- Electric motor (Emrax 188) to convert electricity into mechanical energy;
- Battery (LG RESU 3.2EX | LG Battery System), which provides electricity in case of emergency or adds the necessary energy to run the engine at maximum power;
- Controller (EmDrive 500), which provides enough energy to pass between the elements of the propulsion system;
- Fuel cell (Hydrogenics HYPM-HD 30 POWER MODULE), which is the primary source of energy;
- The tank (tank for hydrogen gas type 3) stores fuel, which in our case is hydrogen.
The brackets indicate the parts that have been selected for the hydrogen propulsion system. The approximate weight of all these parts is about 249.1 kg and the price of all these parts is about 55254 €. All prices are from 2020 and are subject to change. The main idea in the construction of this charging station is the use of seawater and solar energy or renewable energy sources for hydrogen production. The components of the charging station are Solar cells (LG NeON 2), Desalination (CRYSTAL EX PURE), Electrolysis (Nel C Series C10), and Charging station (Haskel (Version with air compressor)). 18. Energetska analiza količine vodika potrebnega za osebna vozila v Republiki Sloveniji : magistrsko deloAnja Majerič, 2022, magistrsko delo Opis: V magistrskem delu smo opravili analizo trenutnega stanja proizvodnje električne energije v Republiki Sloveniji in analizo potenciala zelenih virov energije. Za potrebe preračuna količine vodika, ki bi ga potrebovali za vsa osebna vozila smo pregledali obstoječo ponudbo proizvajalcev vozil na vodikove gorivne celice za leto 2021 in jih na kratko opisali. Izračunali smo količino emisij CO2, ki jih proizvedejo osebna vozila na bencin in dizel ter količino energije, ki jo porabijo med delovanjem. Analiza uporabe vodika na Hrvaškem : magistrsko deloFranco Krog, 2022, magistrsko delo Opis: Zaradi naraščanja števila prebivalstva v svetu so potrebe po različnih vrstah ogrevanja in prevoza čedalje večje, kar pa povečuje tudi ekološke težave. Z namenom manjše onesnaženosti okolja se išče nove alternative, ki bi omogočale prehajanje iz ene točke na drugo ter ogrevanje. Evropa ima velike težave pri samooskrbi z različnimi gorivi. Ena možnih alternativ za prihodnost je vodik. V magistrskem delu smo tako predstavili trenutno statistiko prometa in ogrevanja na Hrvaškem ter poskušali izračunati, koliko vodika bi potrebovali za ogrevanje in prevoz ter koliko energije za proizvodnjo vodika bi bilo potrebne. 20. Ogrevanje, hlajenje in prezračevanje stavb : magistrsko deloToni Senica, 2022, magistrsko delo Opis: V uvodu magistrskega dela bomo predstavil hibridni sistem ogrevanja, kjer se za ogrevanje uporabljata dva različna vira energije, opisali komponente, ki so sestavni del napredne regulacije ogrevanja, vgradnjo lokalnega prezračevanja z rekuperacijo in opisali potrebo po vgradnji klimatske naprave. Nato bomo po Pravilniku o učinkoviti rabi energije v stavbah (Pures 2010) in tehnični smernici TSG-1-004:2010 s pomočjo programa KI Energija 2017 izdelali energetsko izkaznico za referenčno enodružinsko hišo. Dobljeno energetsko izkaznico bomo nato primerjali z več izdelanimi energetskimi izkaznicami za enodružinsko hišo, iz katerih bo razvidno, kako določena posodobitev oziroma vgradnja novega sistema v enodružinsko hišo vpliva na končni izkaz energijske izkaznice. Namen magistrskega dela je predstaviti analizo prihrankov, ki bi jih dobili, če bi v omenjeni enodružinski hiši vzpostavili hibridni sistem ogrevanja, posodobili regulacijo ogrevanja ali vgradili lokalni prezračevalni sistem z vračanjem toplote.
