Vloga šolskega pedagoga kot svetovalnega delavca pri razvoju družbene odgovornosti učencev

Abstract: Magistrska naloga predstavlja vključenost družbene odgovornosti v šolsko prakso s strani pedagogov šolskih svetovalnih delavcev. Delo šolskih svetovalnih delavcev temelji na zakonih, pravilnikih in smernicah ter sledi sprejetim nacionalnim vrednotam. Ostaja pa vprašanje, v kolikšni meri se delo pedagogov šolskih svetovalnih delavcev sklada s šolsko doktrino in njenim konceptom ter v kolikšni meri je družbena odgovornost vpeta v njihovo delo. Empirično zaključno delo je zasnovano na šestih intervjujih pedagogov šolskih svetovalnih delavcev iz osnovnih in srednjih šol. Namen je bil preučiti pojmovanje družbene odgovornosti pedagogov šolskih svetovalnih delavcev, pomen družbene odgovornosti, kakor jo zaznavajo pedagogi in oceno šolske prakse z vidika družbene odgovornosti. Uporabljena je deskriptivna metoda empiričnega pedagoškega raziskovanja. Raziskava je pokazala, da pedagogi velik poudarek pri družbeni odgovornosti dajejo prenosu vrednot na otroke, uresničujejo pa jo ali sami ali v sodelovanju z drugim svetovalnim delavcem, ravnateljem in s starši. Zavedajo se odgovornosti v svojem delu, vendar ločijo med doprinosom družbene odgovornosti v okviru pristojnosti in lastnim doprinosom. Znatnega pomena so jim tudi človeška solidarnost, zavzemanje za lastno avtonomnost, uporaba lastnih načel, postavljanje mej v sodelovanju z drugimi ter sprejemanje in potrditev njihovega dela. Srečujejo se tudi z neodgovornimi praksami v šoli, ki jih rešujejo dolgoročno, preventivno ali kurativno, kot oviro pa navedejo čas in vladavino prava, ki senči bistvo pedagoškega dela.

Professional languages alone do not suffice for successful and socially responsible internal communication between different cultures

Abstract: Successful internal communication in an intercultural environment depends on the organizational culture, business environment, social responsibility, and leaders’ skills. Thus, internal communication and employee adaptation to changing business environments ask what a successful socially responsible internal communication requires. This contribution discusses theoretical foundations of qualitative research, how the organizational culture can define which direction the organization should chose to attain social responsibility, and how internal communication can improve understanding of professional language and be decisive in a working environment. The generated model offers insights into understanding social responsibility and organizational culture to improve internal communication.

Determinants of subjective emotional well-being and self-determination of employees : Slovene case

Abstract: Work is a crucial part of human life. One should attain employees’ well-being (WB) to support organisational success. In the first phase, the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was employed to assess the dimensionality, reliability, and validity of the reflective latent constructs. In the second phase, structural equation modelling was performed to test the research hypotheses. By structural equation modelling we found that physical health (PH) statistically significant negatively affects subjective emotional well-being (SEWB). Positive PH and SEWB were negatively connected. Emotional intelligence (EI) has a statistically significant impact on SEWB. The last relationship in the model—between spiritual intelligence (SI) and self-determination (SD)—was negative, but statistically significant. Therefore, human resource management’s activities (HRM) must concentrate on optimal physical/mental health, emotional (EI) and spiritual (SI) intelligence. Employees’ good health supports their emotional WB. Their emotional balance, based on their EI, enhances their subjective emotional WB and SD. The employees’ SI affects their SD.

Abstract: The present scientific monograph was formed on the occasion of the anniversary celebrated in the academic year 2017/2018 by current and former members of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Economics, and the members of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management at the University of Maribor. Twenty-five years – a quarter of a century – is a period after which it is worth looking back on the past and summing up the memories of the achievements and milestones that have marked it. The monograph is also an acknowledgment and tribute to the initiator and founder of the first study track for entrepreneurship education, and the head of the Department and Institute, Professor Doctor Miroslav Rebernik. The collection of selected scientific contributions is thus put together in such a way that he is the co-author of all of them, with individual members of the Department. A collection was created that chronologically presents some of the most visible contributions of the 25-year period. We would like to thank all publishing houses that approved the reprint of the contributions.

Knowledge-cum-values management belongs to the way out from global crisis

Abstract: Background: The contemporary world-wide socio-economic crisis tends to escalate and contribute to the global crisis. Limitation of education to one-sided ‘knowledge management’ rather than socially responsible ‘knowledge-cum-values-management’ is one of the crisis’s causes. Objectives: The limitations to current knowledge management should be analyzed with systemic thinking. Which values are prevailing in it now and which values will enable the survival of humankind? Methods/Approach: In the first part, literature is reviewed for analysis and conceptual generalization of knowledge management. The theoretical framework based on ‘system theory’, ‘knowledge management’ and ‘knowledge-cum-values management’, and ‘values of social responsibility’ is introduced. In the second part a new theoretical concept “A potential methodological support for human transition from one-sided to requisitely holistic behavior via social responsibility” is discussed. Results: Knowledge management is a too narrow concept, it tends to leave aside human values, an impact on the natural environment, and extremely growing differences. Humankind needs consideration of responsibility, interdependence and holism in order to minimize detrimental impact of individual behaviour on society, i.e. humans and nature. Conclusions: The research indicates that individuals should attain more requisite holism, and should not be irrational by trying to attain only rationalism in human decision-making and action.

Organizational innovation in health care - as a process

Abstract: Slovenia, like most countries of the modern world, spends too much on its public health care and supplies too little public health care services for the government, economists, politicians, and citizens to be happy. The many reforms of the public health care, e.g. in Slovenia, seem to be inefficient, one after the other, in solving this problem. Reforms have been conceived with a too poor consideration of the law of the requisite holism in decision preparation, decisions making and decision implementation. The article tackles procedure of implementation of reforms as inventions are supposed to become innovations in the public health care organization and management, rather than reforms' content. Combination of the absorption capacity, innovation promotion and diffusion is suggested for the requisite holism of implementation.

The role of small-sided games in modern soccer and the issue of their holism

Abstract: In the modern soccer, small-sided games (SSG) present a significant proportion of the whole training process. SSG are introduced regularly and with different emphases, depending on the players' basic technical skills and on the training objectives, but also according to different (sports) cultural contexts. SSG immersed into the wider soccer area at different speeds and with different emphases, often with rather modified designs. Due to their extraordinary adaptability and efficiency, SSG as a working method have undergone a great expansion. Their design and (possible) versatility are explained in this paper from a somewhat unusual perspective of the systemic theories as the theories of achieving the greatest possible holism of our reflections and actions. In the foreground of this paper there is the question of SSG integrity (as the prevailing practical methods of work in modern football practice), through the analysis of the conditions required in order to classify the use and further development of SSG in practice as an innovation, taking into account the laws of requisite holism and innovation.

HRM model in tourism, based on Dialectical systems theory

Abstract: A human resources management (HRM) model integrating trends in HRM with trends in tourism into a dialectical system by the Dialectical Systems Theory (DST). HRM strategy, integrated within the tourism organization´s (TO´S) strategy is implemented through functional strategies helping their users to achieve a requisitely holistic (RH) HRM strategy replacing the prevailing one-sided ones. TO´S strategy covers: employees (1) planning, (2) acquisition and selection, (3) development and training, (4) diversity management, (5) teamwork and creativity, (6) motivation and rewarding, (7) stress reduction and health, (8) relationships, (9) personal holism, (10) well-being, (11) work and results assessment; etc. Everyone matters; their synergy is crucial. An innovated HRM model for TOs, which applies employees´, organizations´ RH and integrates new knowledge about HRM. HRM belongs to central managers´ tools. Their HRM must be adapted for TOs, where employees are crucial.

Preschool teaching staff 's opinions on the importance of preschool curricular fields of activities, art genres and visual arts fields

Abstract: This article presents preschool teachers’ and assistant teachers’ opinions on the importance of selected fields of educational work in kindergartens. The article first highlights the importance of activities expressing artistic creativity within modern curriculums. Then, it presents an empirical study that examines the preschool teachers’ and assistant teachers’ opinions on the importance of the educational fields, art genres, and visual arts fields. In research hypotheses, we presumed that preschool teachers find individual educational fields, individual art genres, and individual visual arts activities to be of different importance; consequently, education in kindergarten does not achieve the requisite holism. The study is based on the descriptive and causal-non-experimental method. We have determined that the greatest importance is attributed to movement and language, followed by nature, society, art and mathematics. Within art genres, the greatest importance is attributed to visual arts and music and the least to audio-visual activities. Within visual arts, drawing and painting are considered to be the most important and sculpting the least. These findings can support future studies and deliberation on the possible effects on practice in terms of requisitely holistically planned preschool education.

10.
Innovation of enterprise vision toward social responsibility

Abstract: Businesses need new bases and methods taking in account new values, culture, ethics, and norms (VCEN) of humans, leading both humans and businesses to their own requisite holism. This covers also enterprise governance and management and their predisposition to (responsible) enterprise vision (and resulting enterprise policy) we studied. Thus we are researching the formation and development of enterprise vision, the period and wholeness of which are relative. In our discussion we originated in different definitions of vision and we showed a possible development path for it, in order to direct vision towards social responsibility (SR) in enterprise behaviour.
