Sedanjost in prihodnost energetske izrabe jedrske tehnologije v članicah EU in svetu : diplomsko deloJure Cukjati, 2023, undergraduate thesis Abstract: V diplomskem delu smo predstavili trenutno stanje energetske izrabe jedrske energije ter skušali ugotoviti njen pomen in smer razvoja v prihodnosti. Na začetku smo predstavili današnjo rabo jedrske energije, kakšno vlogo pri tem igra uran kot energent, in prikazali pregled stanja jedrskih elektrarn na svetu. V nadaljevanju je predstavljena prihodnost jedrske energije, kako so na njeno rabo vplivale pretekle jedrske nesreče in problematika radioaktivnih odpadkov. V zaključnem delu diplomske naloge smo raziskali možne smeri razvoja jedrskih tehnologij v energetski izrabi ter na podlagi zbranih dejstev v zaključku predstavili pomen jedrske energije pri ohranjanju stabilnega energetskega sistema in čistega planeta. 2. Vloga co2 certifikatov včeraj, danes, jutri : diplomsko deloAljaž Škoda, 2022, undergraduate thesis Abstract: V diplomskem delu je predstavljeno delovanje trenutno največjega sistema v boju s podnebno krizo na svetu – EU-sistem trgovanja z emisijami (EU ETS). Na začetku diplomskega dela so prestavljene prvotna zasnova sistema trgovanja s certifikati CO2 in pomanjkljivosti, ki so bile odpravljene v nadaljnjih letih delovanja sistema. V diplomskem delu so opisani razvoj sistema in posledice, ki so bile povod za spreminjanje energetske podobe Slovenije in Evrope. Predstavljeni so tudi izračuni, po katerih se določajo izpusti emisij toplogrednih plinov, in monitoring emisij v realnem času. Električna vozila: rešitev ali nova težava? : rešitev ali nova težava?Primož Zupan, 2022, undergraduate thesis Abstract: V diplomskem delu smo predstavili pozitivne in negativne vidike pri masovnem uvajanju električnih vozil z analizo vseh procesov, ki nastopajo v življenjski dobi e-avtomobila. Prav tako smo predstavili problem baterij in razpoložljivost surovin, potrebnih za njihovo proizvodnjo v globalnem smislu ter okoljske probleme, ki jih intenzivno rudarjenje povzroča v regijah, kjer se surovine nahajajo. Opisali smo tudi obremenitve, ki bi nastale na distribucijskih omrežjih električne energije ob masovnem uvajanju e-vozil. V nalogi smo opredelili tudi različne pristope, ki jih uporabljajo države EU pri vzpodbujanju prehoda v e-mobilnost. 4. Izkoriščanje vetrne energije pri energetski oskrbi v sloveniji in svetuPrimož Hedl, 2021, undergraduate thesis Abstract: Diplomsko delo proučuje razvoj vetrne energije v Sloveniji in po svetu. Predstavi problematiko nizkih vrednosti inštaliranih moči in proizvodnje električne energije iz vetrnih elektrarn v Sloveniji. Primerjava je narejena z drugimi evropskimi državami, ki vlagajo ogromna sredstva v vetrno energijo in nas postavljajo na dno lestvice pri omenjenem viru proizvodnje električne energije. Diplomsko delo predstavi prvega investitorja in očeta prve vetrnice v Sloveniji ter vse težave, ki spremljajo realizacijo podobnega projekta. Skozi prikazane tabele in grafe, ki prikazujejo minule projekte in projekte v prihodnosti, v prihodnost ne moremo zreti optimistično, saj bo naš položaj, kar se tiče vetrne energije, dokler ne spremenimo zakonodaje in se približamo investitorjem, na repu EU. Prav tako v
diplomskem delu obravnavamo zaveze OVE s strani EU. V tabelah je razvidno, v katerih sektorjih cilj izpolnjujemo in v katerih ga še ne dosegamo. Glede na visoke zahteve, ki so bile v zavezi sprejete, bodo potrebna velika vlaganja in subvencije s strani države, da izpolnimo zastavljene cilje OVE, predvsem slediti optimističnemu cilju, da do konca leta 2030 vse države EU dosežejo vsaj 32-odstotni delež iz OVE v bruto končni rabi energije. 5. Obstoječe in načrtovane plinske prenosne poti v EvropiJernej Blažič, 2019, undergraduate thesis Abstract: V diplomskem delu bomo predstavili obstoječe plinovodne poti po Evropi in naredili kratek pregled. Posebno pozornost bomo namenili novejšim projektom, ki so načrtovani za izgradnjo. Pri tem se bomo posebej osredotočil na severni tok, južni tok, balkanski tok ter plinovod Nabucco. Na koncu bomo predstavili slovensko plinovodno omrežje ter opisali nove načrtovane plinovode v Sloveniji. Vse bomo zaokrožili v sklepu, kjer smo predstavili svoj pogled na to panogo. An analysis of the geomechanical processes in coal mining using the Velenje mining methodGregor Jeromel, Milan Medved, Jakob Likar, 2010, original scientific article Abstract: With in-depth geomechanical analyses of sub-level mining using the longwall mining method we can identify the relationships between the physical and mechanical parameters of geological materials, depending on the intensity of the coal extraction. The extent and the intensity of the mining operations impose impacts on the stresses and cause deformation changes in the rocks and in the coal seams on a broader area of excavations. The method of sub-level coal extraction requires multi-caving of the hanging-wall layers, which are recompressed, and in sub-level stoping each represents a hanging wall. The repeating processes of caving-in and compression, from the aspect of the theory of plasticity, have been relatively little researched because every such process brings about structural changes in natural, multi-caved and recompressed materials in the hanging wall. The intensity of the coal extraction has direct impacts on the surrounding and distant mining areas. Extensive stress and deformation changes in the surrounding area, and in the mine, represent a safety hazard for the employees, since the supporting system in the mine roadway could collapse. Therefore, a controlled excavation of the coal, and a good understanding of the geomechanical properties of all the materials and processes involved, is extremely important for planning and managing economic production, while also ensuring safe mining operations.
A numerical model that allows for in-depth analyses of the geomechanical processes that occur in the hanging wall, the footwall and in the coal seam during sub-level coal excavation, is broadly applicable and highly relevant for analysing the intensity and the level of the caving processes in sub-level coal mining, and for making realistic plans for coal excavation with workers’ safety in mind. 7. Monitoring and analyses of seismic events at the Velenje coal mineJakob Likar, Evgen Dervarič, Milan Medved, Janez Mayer, Goran Vižintin, 2008, original scientific article Abstract: Complaints about ground shaking and tremors were regularly addressed to the management of the Velenje Coal Mine. A micro-seismic monitoring system was set up on the surface in nearby urban areas and also directly in the vicinity of the mining activities. The results of these measurements were carefully analysed and presented to the public together with various safe-vibration-limit standards (in this case national standards). A system for automatically publishing measurements immediately after the event is recorded was also set up. This resulted in a dramatic reduction in the number of complaints. Routine micro-seismic monitoring became part of the regular monitoring of mining activities as some patterns of seismic response to mass mining were revealed. 8. Underground coal gasification - the Velenje coal mine energy and economic calculationsDamjan Konovšek, Zdravko Praunseis, Jurij Avsec, Gorazd Berčič, Andrej Pohar, Simon Zavšek, Milan Medved, 2017, original scientific article Abstract: Underground coal gasification (UCG) is a viable possibility for the exploitation of vast coal deposits that are unreachable by conventional mining and can meet the energy, economic and environmental demands of the 21st century. Due to the complexity of the process, and the site-specific coal and seam properties, it is important to acknowledge all the available data and past experiences, in order to conduct a successful UCG operation. Slovenia has huge unmined reserves of coal, and therefore offers the possibility of an alternative use of this domestic primary energy source. According to the available underground coal gasification technology, the energy and economic assessment for the exploitation of coal to generate electricity and heat was made. A new procedure for the estimation of the energy efficiency of the coal gasification process, which is also used to compare the energy analyses for different examples of coal exploitation, was proposed, as well as the technological schemes and plant operating mode in Velenje, and the use of produced synthetic coal gas (syngas). The proposed location for the pilot demonstration experiment in Velenje Coal Mine was reviewed and the viability of the underground coal gasification project in Velenje was determined. Pridobivanje premoga se glede na geološke pogoje lahko izvaja jamsko ali podzemno in površinsko ali nadzemno. Poznamo tri vrste premoga, in sicer lignit, rjavi premog ter črni premog.
