43rd International Conference on Organizational Science Development: Green and Digital Transition – Challenge or Opportunity : Conference Proceedings

Abstract: The 43rd International Scientific Conference on the Development of Organisational Science was held in Portorož from the 20th to the 22nd of March 2024. The main aim of the conference was to promote the importance of knowledge in the context of green and digital transtition of organizations, through academic and scientific debates and professional developments from the economic and non-economic worlds. The conference, which was held under the umbrella title " Green and Digital Transition - Challenge or Opportunity", aimed to highlight the importance of the green and digital transition for the successful achievement of organisational objectives and the appropriate overcoming of societal challenges. The objectives pursued in this context are related to the natural dimensions on the one hand, and to stimulating the economy through green technology, sustainable development and pollution reduction on the other. The green and digital transition is also an opportunity for organisations to make changes towards overarching environmental challenges. It is undoubtedly more important than ever to take decisions that generate synergies between innovation, different sciences, and applied approaches, and to promote changes in business models that will lead to a sustainable and socially responsible development environment. In Portorož, we have reconnected opinions, views, and scientific and professional debates that will stimulate all of us to act in the future, both in organizations and in society at large.

Abstract: The Bled eConference, organised by the University of Maribor, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, has been shaping electronic interactions since 1988. The theme of the 36th conference is "Digital Economy and Society: The Balancing Act for Digital Innovation in Times of Instability". In times of instability, which include political, economic, resource, health, and environmental challenges on the one hand, and technological disruption on the other, it is critical to ensure that digital innovation continues to lead to the right and sustainable solutions that are tailored to the needs of all people, enterprises and society. It is very important to keep in mind the protection of our planet, including fauna and flora. These efforts include adopting appropriate regulatory frameworks, fostering digital literacy and skills development, promoting inclusive access to digital technologies, and addressing the ethical, social and environmental implications of digital transformation. The papers in this conference proceedings address digital transformation of enterprises, artificial intelligence and data science solutions, decision analytics for business and societal challenges, new, digital and data driven business models, digital consumer, digital education, digital health, digital ethics, restructured work and solutions for smart and sustainable cities. We continue to provide an open forum for academia, including students, industry, and policy makers where everyone can contribute to creating a better world.

Ocenjevanje digitalne zrelosti na primeru

Abstract: Doseganje boljše digitalne zrelosti je ena izmed pomembnejših nalog za uspeh podjetij v današnjem digitalnem poslovnem okolju. S podjetju prilagojenimi priporočili, kot so učinkovito upravljanje podatkov, digitalizacija procesov, vzpostavitev agilnih struktur, zagotavljanje varnosti in kontinuirano izobraževanje zaposlenih lahko orodja za merjenje digitalne zrelosti pomagajo podjetjem doseči višjo stopnjo digitalne zrelosti. Podjetja, ki se aktivno posvetijo digitalni preobrazbi, so bolj odporna v prihodnosti in bodo lažje izkoristila številne prednosti, ki jih prinaša digitalizacija. Zato je pomembno, da se podjetja zavedajo pomena merjenja digitalne zrelosti, da sprejmejo priporočila in se osredotočijo na dvig svoje digitalne zrelosti. Potreba po ocenjevanju digitalnih zrelosti je v zadnjih letih poskrbela za razvoj novih modelov, ki merijo digitalno zrelost podjetij in hkrati podajo priporočila za nadaljnji razvoj. Ti modeli ponujajo pregled nad različnimi vidiki digitalne preobrazbe, kot so tehnologija, kultura, procesi in strateško vodenje. Na podlagi ocene lahko podjetje prepozna svoje močne in šibke točke ter načrtuje ustrezen razvoj. Enega izmed dostopnejših modelov smo v magistrski nalogi na primeru izbranega podjetja testirali tudi mi. Ugotovili smo, da lahko podjetje z izbiro primernega modela bolje oceni svojo digitalno zrelost, kar lahko pripomore k boljši strategiji digitalnih vsebin, optimizaciji poslovanja in kreiranja novih izdelkov ter storitev.

Analiza uporabe modulov kadrovsko informacijskega sistema v Splošni bolnišnici Jesenice

Abstract: V Službi za organizacijo in kadre Splošne bolnišnice Jesenice (v nadaljevanju: SBJ) si kot v drugih organizacijah prizadevajo, da bi čim več kadrovskih procesov, postopkov in načinov dela digitalizirali oz. jih izvajali v obstoječem kadrovskem sistemu KADRIS 4 ponudnika Četrta pot, d. o. o. Z namenom ugotavljanja učinkovitosti digitalizacije procesov je v pričujoči nalogi kritično ovrednotena obstoječa digitalizacija programske rešitve, ki jo uporablja SBJ za namen kadrovske službe. V ta namen je bila izvedena analiza uporabe modulov kadrovsko informacijskih sistemov v SBJ in narejena primerjava z najpogosteje uporabljenimi moduli kadrovsko informacijskih sistemov na splošno (v nadaljevanju: KIS). Analizirali je bilo tudi, v kolikšnem obsegu te module uporabljajo v SBJ ter kako bi lahko uporabo le-teh še izboljšali oz. povečali. Pri pripravi magistrske naloge smo na celoten sistem gledali celovito ter z ustreznimi metodami in tehnikami skušali analizirati, kaj vse bi sistem lahko ponudil, kje so priložnosti za izboljšave ter kaj so prioritete. Eden od rezultatov analize so priporočila za izboljšavo in uvedbo smiselnih modulov glede na pričakovane učinke in stroške uvedbe.

Razvoj sistema za prepoznavanje obrazov

Abstract: V magistrskem delu smo opisali problem razvoja sistemov za prepoznavanje obrazov. Sistemi za prepoznavanje obrazov morajo poleg ločevanja med obrazi različnih oseb za mnoge primere uporabe, kot je na primer kontrola dostopa, biti sposobni ločiti med resničnimi in lažnimi obrazi (npr. natisnjena fotografija). Brez sposobnosti zaznave lažnih obrazov imajo sistemi za prepoznavanje obrazov veliko ranljivost z vidika varnosti. Predstavili smo moderne tehnologije strojnega učenja, ki omogočajo izdelavo modelov za 2D prepoznavanje obrazov in prepoznavanje lažnih obrazov. Poleg tehnologij smo predstavili tudi proces razvoja modela za prepoznavanje obrazov z omejeno količino podatkov brez uporabe etično vprašljivih podatkovnih množic in proces razvoja modela za prepoznavanje lažnih obrazov.

Razvitost digitalnih kompetenc v podjetju Iskratel d. o. o.

Abstract: V sodobnem svetu, ki ga zaznamujejo nenehne spremembe zaradi avtomatizacije, informatizacije in digitalizacije, ima informacijsko komunikacijska tehnologija (IKT) ključno vlogo. Za uspešno uporabo IKT so bistvene digitalne kompetence posameznika. Digitalne kompetence namreč predstavljajo nabor spretnosti, znanja in sposobnosti, ki so ključne za učinkovito uporabo digitalne tehnologije. Namen magistrskega dela je bil raziskati, kakšna je stopnja razvitosti in pomembnost digitalnih kompetenc zaposlenih v podjetju Iskratel d. o. o. Kranj, ugotoviti, katere kompetence so zaposleni pridobili s pomočjo programa »Brand Ambassadors« ter kako na sam razvoj digitalnih kompetenc zaposlenih vpliva medgeneracijsko sodelovanje in vpliv kadrovske strategije na uveljavljanje blagovne znamke delodajalca. Pri izdelavi magistrskega dela so bile uporabljene različne metode dela. Za pripravo teoretičnega dela je bila uporabljena metoda študije domače in tuje literature ter virov s področja digitalnih kompetenc. Za pripravo raziskovalnega dela pa je bila uporabljena metoda anketiranja. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da imajo zaposleni v preiskovanem podjetju v povprečju dobro razvite digitalne kompetence na skoraj vseh področjih. Kljub temu pa obstaja možnost za izboljšavo in nadgradnjo kompetenc zaposlenih na vseh področjih digitalnih kompetenc. Zanimivo je, da sta informacijska pismenost ter komunikacija in sodelovanje najbolj razviti kompetenci med zaposlenimi, medtem ko je kompetenca »izdelovanje digitalne vsebine« najmanj razvita digitalna kompetenca zaposlenih v preiskovanem podjetju. Program »Brand Ambassadors« ima razvidno vlogo pri razvoju digitalnih kompetenc zaposlenih, saj spodbuja uporabo družbenih omrežij, medgeneracijsko sodelovanje ter promocijo blagovne znamke delodajalca. Kljub temu pa bi se sam program lahko usmeril v izobraževanje zaposlenih med kreiranjem digitalnih vsebin.

Development of the web service for grocery store receipt recognition and subsequent analysis of the nutritional value of the products purchased

Abstract: The objective of this study is to tackle the worldwide problem of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). These diseases represent the foremost reason for mortality on a global scale, accounting for approximately 17.9 million deaths annually. Unhealthy eating habits are one of the most frequent causes for CVD in the world and are addressed in various ways, including digital technologies. The goal of this project i`s to develop a web service that enables a non-intrusive way of tracking food consumption and monitoring the dynamics of nutrient intake compared to the traditional "record-every-meal" type of tracking. We followed a design science research approach to develop the web service. The web service employs semantic similarity algorithms and enables human feedback to improve its performance. It will be developed using the Serverless framework and deployed on the AWS platform. Receipt recognition will be performed using AWS Textract, and the nutritional value of the products will be obtained from publicly available databases. This approach aims to create an innovative and user-friendly method for tracking food consumption and nutrient dynamics.

Influence of the pandemic on students digital literacy skills

Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many hardships to the world, but in this master thesis we would like to focus on the changes affecting student’s digital literacy skills during their online studies. With different circumstances affecting their efforts we try to research what were some of the problems they faced trying to acquire education and what programs and techniques helped them on the way. The purpose of this research was to examine the discrepancy between digital literacy levels pre, during and post pandemic, and how all those changes affected the students of Slovenia and Serbia, and what were the possible differences between those countries. We go over the results of the questionnaire and the statistic research while gathering our thoughts about their meanings and how can we use them for future researches on this topic and as an even more important goal, to raise awareness on the effects of the restrictions and changes on students. We believe that our research gave an insight on how much the changes in understanding how technology has helped students to follow up on their education in a new form and at the same time educate following populations. Researching relevant literature, we found that with the efforts of all parties including students, their professors, university boards but also with the help of technology and government funds we could help guide the development of student’s digital literacy in the right direction.

Platforma za servisne storitve in posredovanje rezervnih računalniških delov

Abstract: Magistrsko delo predstavlja idejo spletne platforme za servisne storitve in posredovanje rezervnih računalniških delov, s katero bi se reševala problematika popravljivosti starejših elektronskih naprav, do katere pride zaradi omejenega zagotavljanja nadomestnih delov, kot tudi kratke servisne podpore. Trenutno se kot potrošniki zaradi vse hitrejšega tehnološkega napredka pri razvoju elektronskih naprav, spopadamo s problematiko popravljivosti starejših modelov. Proizvajalci naprav in servisni ponudniki v večini primerov ponujajo draga popravila starejših modelov, ki so pogosto tudi dražja od nakupa nove, zmogljivejše naprave. V nekaterih primerih pa zaradi starosti naprave ne nudijo več ustrezne servisne podpore. Popravila so v takšnih primerih nesmiselna, hkrati pa se pri modelih z ukinjeno servisno podporo v nekaterih primerih pojavlja tudi problem dobavljivosti nadomestnih delov. Glavni cilj magistrske naloge je bralcu predstavititi idejo spletne platforme, z implementacijo, katere bi se uporabniku ne samo olajšalo popravilo starejših elektronskih naprav, temveč bi se ga k temu tudi spodbudilo. S tem namenom smo v magistrski nalogi analizirali poslovno okolje in ekostistem, v katerega bi umestili hipotetično podjetje, ki bi idejo implementiralo. Hkrati smo proučili možnost realizacije omenjene ideje ter poslovne priložnosti, ki jih ideja predstavlja. Za doseganje ciljev magistrske naloge smo izbrali metodologijo načrtovanja in razvoja, s katero smo proučili obstoječe stanje v poslovnem okolju, v katerega bi umestili našo rešitev. Analizirali smo tudi izbrano poslovno okolje in predstavili poslovni ekosistem, v katerega bi uvrstili podjetje, ki bi našo idejo implementiralo. Znotraj procesa načrtovanja smo predstavili našo izvirno idejo in zamišljeno delovanje spletne platforme za servisne storitve in posredništvo rezervnih delov. V fazi razvoja smo za lažjo predstavitev ideje izdelali tudi nedelujoč prototip spletne platforme in ga v magistrski nalogi prav tako obravnavali. Med pisanjem magistrske naloge smo ugotovili, da na svetovnem trgu sicer že obstajajo podjetja, ki se ukvarjajo s prenovo starejših naprav. Le-te ponujajo ceneje kot nove naprave, vendar zaenkrat še ne obstaja celovita rešitev, ki bi uporabnikom na enem mestu nudila trgovanje z odsluženimi napravami, komponentami ter prenovljenimi modeli. Pisanje magistrske naloge nas je privedlo tudi do spoznanja, da uspešna implementacija ideje ne bi reševala zgolj problema servisne podpore, temveč tudi ekološko problematiko e-odpadkov.
