Vizualne reprezentacije nekaterih zgodnjih aritmetičnih pojmov : doktorska disertacija

Abstract: Vizualne reprezentacije imajo pomembno vlogo v izgradnji razumevanja matematičnih konceptov učencev, še posebej pomembne so pri izgradnji razumevanja zgodnjih aritmetičnih pojmov. V doktorski nalogi zato obravnavamo omenjeno tematiko, ki jo na podlagi teoretičnih spoznanj preverjamo tudi empirično. Izbrani zgodnji aritmetični pojmi so odštevanje, zakon o združevanju, ulomek kot operator in potenca. Izvedena sta bila dva dela raziskave, v katerih so sodelovali učenci šestega razreda osnovne šole. Zanimalo nas je, kakšne so risbe podanih matematičnih pojmov z vidika ustreznosti, usmerjenosti in pravilnosti ter kakšne načine prikaza podanih pojmov je mogoče zaznati iz risb. Dodatno nas je zanimalo, kakšna je povezanost učenčevega opisa risbe s prikazanim matematičnim pojmom na risbi. Risbe so bile v raziskavi uporabljene kot raziskovalno sredstvo, kar predstavlja novost na področju aritmetike. S kombinacijo deskriptivne in kavzalno-neeksperimentalne metode empiričnega pedagoškega raziskovanja smo ugotovili, da abstraktnost matematičnih pojmov vpliva tako na ustreznost kot tudi na pravilnost ustvarjene risbe, kar pomeni, da sta odštevanje in zakon o združevanju pogosteje ustrezno oz. pravilno reprezentirana matematična pojma. Iz risbe prepoznana konceptualna usmerjenost risb pa izstopa v primeru ulomka kot operatorja in potence. Konceptualna usmerjenost pri teh dveh pojmih v najvišjem deležu vodi do prikaza pravilnega rezultata. Verbalno podani opisi risb, pridobljeni v drugem delu, predstavljajo dodano vrednost z vidika učenčeve interpretacije prikazanega ter hkrati ponujajo dodaten vpogled v učenčevo razumevanje matematičnih pojmov.

Učinkovitost algoritmov umetne inteligence pri mikroplaniranju proizvodnje

Abstract: Diplomsko delo se osredotoča na analizo podatkov v kontekstu uporabe umetne inteligence pri mikroplaniranju proizvodnje. Na podlagi analize pridobljenih podatkov smo identificirali zakonitosti in trende, ki se nanašajo na učinkovitost sistema za napredno planiranje in razporejanje proizvodnje z umetno inteligenco Qlector LEAP. Opažamo korelacije med relativno napako planiranja s Qlector LEAP-om in številom poskusov planiranja, pri čemer opažamo določene trende za določene izdelke. Primerjamo učinek planiranja Qlector LEAP-a tudi z učinkom planiranja po normativih. Razprava se osredotoča tudi na tehnološke, kadrovske in organizacijske dejavnike ter priporoča organizacijske ukrepe za izboljšanje učinkovitosti planiranja z LEAP-om. Kljub izzivom pri dokazovanju hipotez je razprava pokazala možnosti za nadaljnje raziskave, ki vključujejo kvantifikacijo zanesljivosti planiranja z LEAP-om in preučevanje drugih modulov Qlector LEAP-a. Skupaj s postavljenimi organizacijskimi ukrepi diplomsko delo zagotavlja osnovo za nadaljnje raziskave na tem področju.

Ozaveščenost zaposlenih o napadih z izvabljanjem gesel

Abstract: V diplomskem delu smo predstavili najpogostejše kibernetske napade, motive, metode in tehnike, s katerimi izvedejo napad na informacijski sistem. Na kratko smo predstavili tudi finančno organizacijo, v kateri smo izvedli raziskavo. Raziskava je bila izvedena v dveh fazah. Najprej smo izvedli simulacijo napada z izvabljanjem, da bi ugotovili, koliko zaposlenih bo lažnemu napadu nasedlo. V drugi fazi pa smo izvedli anketo, katere namen je bil ugotoviti, kako učinkoviti so zaposleni pri prepoznavanju lažnih in avtentičnih elektronskih sporočil. Rezultati so pokazali, da trenutni ukrepi v organizaciji ne zadoščajo, saj preveliko število zaposlenih še vedno ne prepozna napadov. Za izboljšanje stanja smo organizaciji predlagali nekaj ukrepov, ki bodo pripomogli k doseganju višje stopnje ozaveščenosti zaposlenih.

Exploring chitosan-plant extract bilayer coatings: Advancements in active food packaging via polypropylene modification

Abstract: UV-ozone activated polypropylene (PP) food films were subjected to a novel bilayer coating process involving primary or quaternary chitosan (CH/QCH) as the first layer and natural extracts from juniper needles (Juniperus oxycedrus; JUN) or blackberry leaves (Rubus fruticosus; BBL) as the second layer. This innovative approach aims to redefine active packaging (AP) development. Through a detailed analysis by surface characterization and bioactivity assessments (i.e., antioxidant and antimicrobial functionalities), we evaluated different coating combinations. Furthermore, we investigated the stability and barrier characteristics inherent in these coatings. The confirmed deposition, coupled with a comprehensive characterization of their composition and morphology, underscored the efficacy of the coatings. Our investigation included wettability assessment via contact angle (CA) measurements, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and attenuated total reflectance Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR), which revealed substantial enhancements in surface concentrations of elements and functional groups of CH, QCH, JUN, and BBL. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) unveiled the coatings' heterogeneity, while time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) and CA profiling showed moderately compact bilayers on PP, providing active species on the hydrophilic surface, respectively. The coatings significantly reduced the oxygen permeability. Additionally, single-layer depositions of CH and QCH remained below the overall migration limit (OML). Remarkably, the coatings exhibited robust antioxidative properties due to plant extracts and exceptional antimicrobial activity against S. aureus, attributed to QCH. These findings underscore the pivotal role of film surface properties in governing bioactive characteristics and offer a promising pathway for enhancing food packaging functionality.

Antimicrobial properties of different hop (Humulus lupulus) genotypes

Abstract: The antimicrobial activity of hop extracts obtained from different hop genotypes were investigated against Staphylococcus aureus and Lactobacillus acidophilus. In this study the pure xanthohumol, purified β-acids rich fraction, as well as α-acids with β-acids rich fraction were used to test antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Lactobacillus acidophilus; whereby, the antimicrobial activity of different hop extracts against Lactobacillus acidophilus was studied for the first time. Microbial susceptibility to purified hydroacetonic extracts from different hop varieties was investigated by the broth microdilution assay to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and the minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC). The hop hydroacetonic extracts were more effective against Staphylococcus aureus than against Lactobacillus acidophilus. Strong inverse correlations of MIC and MBC values were obtained with xanthohumol, cohumulone, n+adhumulone, colupulone and n+adlupulone contents, suggesting that the identified chemical hop compounds are directly responsible for antimicrobial effects. Moreover, the effect of the growth medium strength on the MIC values of hop extracts against Staphylococcus aureus was systematically investigated for the first time. The current study also reveals the effect of different hop extracts on Staphylococcus aureus, which responds to their presence by lag phase extension and generation time prolongation.

Podjetništvo za trajnostno prihodnost : GEM Slovenija 2023

Abstract: Raziskava GEM ponuja poglobljeno analizo različnih družbenih, kulturnih, političnih in ekonomskih dejavnikov, ki vplivajo na podjetniško okolje in podjetniško aktivnost, ter predstavlja celovit okvir za razumevanje nacionalnih podjetniških razmer. Ti dejavniki imajo ključno vlogo pri oblikovanju podjetniških ambicij posameznikov in uspešnosti ustanavljanja ter delovanja podjetij. Raziskava s tem zagotavlja neprimerljiv vpogled v nacionalno podjetništvo in njegove značilnosti ter presega informacije, ki so na voljo v drugih statističnih virih. Raziskava namreč vključuje tudi odnos posameznikov in družbe do podjetništva ter želje in usposobljenost ljudi za podjetništvo, v vseh fazah podjetniškega procesa. S proučevanjem teh vidikov v različnih državah, GEM ugotavlja ključna gonila in ovire za podjetništvo, kar zainteresiranim stranem omogoča, da razvijajo podporni podjetniški ekosistem. Monografija se dotika tudi vse večje povezave med podjetniškimi prizadevanji in trajnostnim razvojem. V raziskavi je poudarjen pomen trajnostnega razvoja kot integralnega dela podjetniške miselnosti in prakse v Sloveniji, kar je ključno za spodbujanje inovativnosti, konkurenčnosti in dolgoročne blaginje v družbi.

Podjetniška demografija in značilnosti podjetništva mladih : Slovenski podjetniški observatorij 2023

Abstract: V okviru Slovenskega podjetniškega observatorija 2023 smo proučevali demografijo slovenskih podjetij in značilnosti podjetništva mladih v Sloveniji in primerjalno z Evropo. Kot vsako leto, smo tudi tokrat v prvem delu raziskave Slovenskega podjetniškega observatorija analizirali demografske značilnosti slovenskih podjetij, medtem ko smo drugi del posvetili aktualni temi tako v slovenskem kot evropskem gospodarstvu, analizi podjetništva mladih. Demografska analiza je bila usmerjena v razumevanje profilov slovenskih podjetij na podlagi različnih kriterijev, kot so število podjetij, njihova velikost, ustvarjen prihodek, stroški dela in dodana vrednost, razčlenjeno po dejavnosti, regiji in velikosti podjetja. Proučevanje značilnosti podjetništva mladih je zagotovilo vpogled v dinamiko podjetništva v izbrani ciljni skupini z namenom oblikovanja učinkovitih ukrepov spodbujanja razvoja podjetništva mladih.

Malignomu podoben vnetni pseudotumor: redek zaplet popolne artroplastike kolka

Abstract: Purpose: Particulate debris created by accelerated polyethylene wear in totaly replaced hips causes adverse local reactions. We report an extreme form of such a reaction in a patient who developed progressive thigh pain, weakness and numbness after total arthroplasty of his left hip. Methods: An abdominopelvic computed tomogram showed a large intrepelvic cystic mass interpreted as a malignant tumor. Dark greyish-green fluid was aspirated from the cyst and cytopathologic examination showed necrotic debris without malignant cells. Biopsy revealed necrosis and abundant foreign body granulation tissue with polarizable debris. Results: During surgical removal of the cyst a defect of the inner acetabular wall was noted. After successful revision arthroplasty with allograft bone the clinical symptoms improved. Conclusion: A foreign-body reaction to wear debris may produce an intrapelvic mass and corresponding symptoms. Cytologic and histologic examination of the mass or fluid may aid in interpreting the clinical picture and imaging studies.
