Graphʼs theory approach for searching the shortest routing path in RIP protocol

Opis: Routing is a problem domain with an infinite number of final-solutions. One of the possible approaches to solving such problems is using graph theory. This paper presents mathematical analysis methodologies based on circular graphs for solving a shortest path routing problem. The problem is focused on searching for the shortest path within a circular graph. Such a search coincides with the network routing problem domain. In this paper, we introduce in the detail all necessary parts needed to understand such an approach. This includes: definition of the routing problem domain, introduction to circular graphs and their usage, circular graphʼs properties, definition of walks through a circular graph, searching and determining the shortest path within a circular graph, etc. The state of the art routing methods, implemented in contemporary highly sophisticated routers, includes well-known weight-based algorithms and distance-vectors-based algorithms. The proposed solution can be placed between the two abovementioned methods. Each of these known methods strives for optimal results, but each of them also has its own deficiencies, which should be rectified with the proposed new method. This theoretically presented method is argued by a practical example and compared with the RIP (Routing Information Protocol) technique, where we look for the shortest path and possible walks through a specified circular graph.

Induction machine

Opis: The aim of this paper is to present the difference of induction machine electromechanical characteristics in motor and generator operating modes. Firstly, the paper presents analytically derived equations, which are based on equivalent circuit and are used for calculation of induction machine breakdown torque. Secondly, a comparison of calculated and measured characteristics in motor and generator operating modes is presented. Results of torque characteristics measurements, temperature rise tests and load tests are also provided. Finally the difference between the calculated and the measured results is commented on and explained in detail.

Impact of saturation modelling on the losses of electric drive controlled by QFT

Opis: The aim of this paper is to present the impact of magnetic nonlinearities and saturation on the losses of an electric drive controlled by Quantitative Feedback Theory. For exact analysis of losses three magnetically different types of series wound DC motor dynamic models are presented and used in this work. As its main contribution this study shows that the modelling of magnetic nonlinearities improves control synthesis of electrical drive, which is reflected in lower energy consumption. For the purpose of control design of series wound DC motor Quantitative Feedback Theory was used.

Design of fractional-slot permanent magnet synchronous motor with concentrated windings and interior permanent magnets

Opis: The paper presents design of fractional-slot permanent magnet synchronous motors with concentrated windings and interior permanent magnets. Inner PM rotor machines with 12 slot/8 poles and 12 slot/10 poles were investigated. Finite element analysis is employed in order to determine the performance of each motor. It is shown that the maximal torque capability and the flux-weakening performance of the particular machine are strongly dependent on the stator slot number/rotor pole number combination, rotor barrier design and on the quality of used PM material.

Opis: This paper deals with comparison of experimentally and by the finite element method determined magnetically nonlinear iron core characteristics. The obtained characteristic were used in the dynamic model of a single phase transformer. The comparison of the measured and by the dynamic model calculated results is given for the case of transformer steady state operation at rated load and for the case of switch-on of unloaded transformer.

Determining energy production of CdTe photovoltaic system

Opis: This paper presents a method for determining energy production of Cadmium-Telluride photovoltaic system, which has a different working performance than the most used Silicon photovoltaic systems. The main difference is sensitivity to the temperature and the solar irradiance. The CdTe cells are less sensitive to the temperature and in contrast to the Si Cells they have a higher efficiency at lower irradiance.

Determining losses and efficiency of axial flux permanent magnet synchronous motor

Opis: This paper presents the method for determining losses and efficiency of small axial flux permanent magnet synchronous motor with surface mounted permanent magnets and double external rotor by using measurements. Losses and efficiency are calculated by using measured electrical input power and mechanical output power. The characteristics obtained by the measurements are in good agreement with analytically calculated results and the results obtained by the finite element method.
