Vpliv delovnega okolja na kostno mišično strukturo zaposlenih v gastroenteroloških endoskopskih enotahJanita Tepina

Opis: Pri kostno-mišičnih obolenjih, povezanih z delom, gre za okvare delov telesa in sicer mišic, sklepov, kit, vezi, živcev, kosti in perifernega krvnega obtoka, ki jih povzročijo ali poslabšajo predvsem delo in vplivi neposrednega okolja v katerem se delo izvaja.
Zaposleni v endoskopskih enotah se morda ne zavedajo fizičnega tveganja, ki so mu izpostavljeni vsak dan zaradi ponavljajočih se gibov v delovnem procesu. Ponavljajoči gibi pri opravljanju endoskopskih preiskav povečujejo tveganje za nastanek kostno-mišičnih poškodb, ki lahko v končni fazi povzročijo trajne poškodbe in invalidnost. Tveganja za telesne poškodbe so povezana s trajanjem dela, silo ki je potrebna za dokončanje opravil, lokalnimi kontaktnimi obremenitvami in delovnimi položaji (drža).
V magistrskem delu smo si zastavili cilj potrditi vpliv delovnega okolja na kostno mišično strukturo zaposlenih v gastroenterološki endoskopski enoti.
Podatke raziskave smo pridobili z dvema raziskovalnima metodama v treh endoskopskih enotah: Diagnostičnem centru Bled, UKC Ljubljana – KOGE in v Splošni bolnišnici Novo mesto. Prva metoda je bila ergonomska opazovalna metoda RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment) s pomočjo katere smo naredili oceno opazovanih zaposlenih v gastroenteroloških endoskopskih enotah. Druga metoda je bil strukturiran anketni vprašalnik, s katerim smo želeli od zaposlenih v gastroenteroloških endoskopskih enotah, v katerih smo izvajali opazovalno metodo, pridobiti povratne informacije o težavah, povezanih s kostno-mišičnimi obremenitvami. Raziskava je temeljila na štirih hipotezah.

Triangulation of methods of career educationMarija Turnšek Mikačić

Opis: This paper is an overview of the current research in the field of career education and career planning. Presented results constitute a model based on the insight into different theories and empirical studies about career planning as a building block of personal excellence. We defined credibility, transferability and reliability of the research by means of triangulation. As sources of data of triangulation we included essays of participants of education and questionnaires. Qualitative analysis represented the framework for the construction of the paradigmatic model and the formulation of the final theory. We formulated a questionnaire on the basis of our own experiences in the area of the education of individuals. The quantitative analysis, based on the results of the interviews, confirms the following three hypotheses: The individuals who elaborated a personal career plan and acted accordingly, changed their attitudes towards their careers and took control over their lives; in addition, they achieved a high level of self-esteem and self-confidence, in tandem with the perception of personal excellence, in contrast to the individuals who did not participate in career education and did not elaborate a career plan. We used the tools of NLP (neurolinguistic programming) as an additional technique at learning.

The role of tipping in reducing labour costsAndrej Raspor

Opis: The purpose of this paper was to determine whether tipping could reduce labour costs in the petroleum products retail sector. The research we present was designed on the basis of survey results gathered from Slovenian petrol stations in 2009 and 2010. We have identified the following factors in the tipping process: job satisfaction, flexibility, service quality, satisfaction, motivation and the factor of receiving tips. The analysis showed correlation between methods used to increase the value of tips and better service quality, increased financial and numerical flexibility, motivation, satisfaction upon receipt of tips and the method used to increase the value of tips. In order to decrease labour costs we propose that the management take control of tipping and integrates tips into the reward system. Also, the employees should be made aware about how tipping improves service and increases their income.

Opis: Background and Purpose: This paper analyses the strategic aspects of knowledge management in organizations in Serbia, from the theoretical and empirical point of view. In its theoretical part, the paper analyzes the latest literature in the fields of knowledge management, relations between communications strategyes and knowledge management, generations of knowledge management and organizational culture.
Design/Methodology/Approach: In its empirical part, the paper deals with determining the level of knowledge management in Serbian organizations through diffrent generations of knowledge management, as well as the problem with explicit and tacit knowledge management. The hypotheses were tested using data colleted from organizatons in Serbia via questionnaire, which consisted of 50 questions to examine five key factors in knowledge management.
Results: The results showed that out of 41 indicators, only eight are rated positively. Results of t-test indicate significant distinctions within factors affecting the quality of knowledge management, as well as differences in quality of explicit and tacit knowledge management, therefore they confirmed both hypotheses.
Conclusion: The knowledge management projects in organizations in Serbia are initiated, as well as that belonging to the first generation of knowledge management can be defined.

Markov analysis of studentsʼ performance and academic progress in higher educationAlenka Brezavšček

Opis: Background: The students’ progression towards completing their higher education degrees possesses stochastic characteristics, and can therefore be modelled as an absorbing Markov chain. Such application would have a high practical value and offer great opportunities for implementation in practice.
Objectives: The aim of the paper is to develop a stochastic model for estimation and continuous monitoring of various quality and effectiveness indicators of a given higher education study programme.
Method: The study programme is modelled by a finite Markov chain with five transient and two absorbing states. The probability transition matrix is constructed. The quantitative characteristics of the absorbing Markov chain, like the expected time until absorption and the probabilities of absorption, are used to determine chosen indicators of the programme.
Results: The model is applied to investigate the pattern of students’ enrolment and their academic performance in a Slovenian higher education institution. Based on the students’ intake records, the transition matrix was developed considering eight consecutive academic seasons from 2008/09 until 2016/17. The students’ progression towards the next stage of the study programme was estimated. The expected time that a student spends at a particular stage as well as the expected duration of the study is determined. The graduation and withdrawal probabilities were obtained. Besides, a prediction on the students’ enrolment for the next three academic years was made. The results were interpreted and discussed.
Conclusion: The analysis presented is applicable for all higher education stakeholders. It is especially useful for a higher education institution’s managers seeing that it provides useful information to plan improvements regarding the quality and effectiveness of their study programmes to achieve better position in the educational market.

Opis: The appeal of doing business on the Web is clear. By bringing together large numbers of buyers and sellers and by automating transactions, e-marketplaces expand the choices available to buyers, give sellers access to new customers (buyers), and reduce transaction costs for all participants. Entering the e- marketplace is related to the business process of reengineering, connecting of information systems, gaining new knowledge with training and learning, and making investments in new information technologies and software. Such organization must take very careful steps to prepare itself for a successful entrance on the e-marketplace. Only this kind of approach will enable the organization the full use of the available opportunities and will bring expected business results. The paper presents the different types of e-marketplaces and the use of e-marketplaces for business. Furthermore, the results of the research that was done among 250 large organizations in Slovenia are presented. The current status of the use e-commerce and e-marketplaces in large organizations in Slovenia is introduced. In addition, organizational factors found by large organizations to be important for a successful entrance to the e-marketplaces are presented. We conclude the paper with recommendations for the organizations that intend to enter e-marketplace.

Opis: A basic characteristic of business operations in developed economic environments is their continuous search for responses to very rapid changes in their broader and closer environment. Adjustment to the changing situation of market and technology is an inevitable challenge to every company. This means a neverending search and verification on the market, as well as preservation of the acquired position. The tasks connected with the company's adjustment to the requirements of the market are very complex. Due to the increasingly turbulent business environment, the management responsible for the implementation of the change process is taking on new obligations. Change management is moving away from the traditional understanding of that notion as being just a set of functions, comprising the tasks of both designing and implementing a process of changing the organization. The request to establish such an organization which will be able to follow the extremely rapid and perpetual urge for adaptation to the requirements of the environment is coming to the forefront.
