IDEJNI PROJEKT IN ŠTUDIJA IZVEDLJIVOSTI GRADNJE DRUGEGA BLOKA TERMOELEKTRARNE PLJEVLJA

Opis: V magisterski nalogi smo predstavili možnost gradnje drugega bloka termoelektrarne v občini Pljevlja. Z gradnjo novega bloka TE Pljevlja želimo pokriti potrebe po električni energiji v Črni Gori in zmanjšati negativni vpliv na okolje obstoječe termoelektrarne. Predstavili smo tudi oceno vrednosti investicije za novo enoto v okviru obstoječe TE.

Analiza in testiranje modelske horizontalne vetrne turbine

Opis: Diplomsko dela zajema modeliranje, izdelavo ter meritve na modelski trilopatični turbini, s profilom lopatic NREL S825 in premerom rotorja 936 mm. S programskim paketom SolidWorks je bil kreiran model turbine, ki smo ga nato izdelali s postopkom 3D tiskanja na dveh različnih tiskalnikih. Na izdelanem fizičnem modelu smo nato v vetrovniku opravili meritve sil in vibracij, povzročenih s strani vetrne turbine. Iz meritev smo izračunali delno karakteristiko moči, saj smo bili navzgor omejeni s številom obratov vetrne turbine zaradi slabih lastnosti materiala, iz katerega je bil narejen model. Rezultate smo prikazali tabelarično in grafično.

Vertical marketing systems, supply chains and the new indicators of retailing's significance

Opis: In modern vertical marketing systems (i.e., in grocery sector), the greatest power is demonstrated by retail chains, and producers depend thereupon. This paper analyzes vertical marketing systems and the role of retailing therein. Specially analyzed is the power of retail chains’ demand with regard to the entire supply chains they head, as well as the present-day new competition in retailing and modern business concepts related to the vertical marketing systems. Additionally, analyzed are also select indicators to examine the significance of retailing in an individual national economy. The purpose of this paper is to emphasize the new indicators of significance of retailing in economy with regard to the realized GDP, as a component of value chains. These indicators complement the usual retailing significance analyses from the point of view of its share in the number of employees and the number of companies. From the conducted analysis, one may conclude that the vertical marketing systems become increasingly important, and retailing assumes a new role in economy in that sense. Thus, new indicators of retailing significance might also be necessary.

Onesnaževanje zraka v Sloveniji

Opis: Okolje je že od začetka človeštva podlaga za obstanek človeka, saj je sestavljeno iz ključnih elementov, ki omogočajo človekovo preživetje. Vendar pa je v zadnjem obdobju okolje postalo žrtev človekovega izkoriščanja, onesnaževanja in uničevanja. O onesnaženem zraku govorimo, kadar so v njem prisotne škodljive, nenaravne in neobičajne snovi, imenovane polutanti oziroma onesnaževala zraka. V zrak je spuščenih veliko emisij, ki so naravnega izvora, in emisij, ki so posledica človekovih dejavnosti. Slovenija zaradi večje onesnaženosti z delci PM₁₀ sodi med bolj onesnažene države v Evropi. Delci PM so tekoči in trdni delci v plinu. Industrija za evropsko gospodarstvo predstavlja ključni element, vendar pa predstavlja tudi vir onesnaževanja okolja. V EU in tudi v Sloveniji industrija proizvede veliko izpustov toplogrednih plinov. Kot primer navedimo proizvodnjo električne energije, ki proizvede več kot 60 odstotkov toplogrednih plinov. Drugi najbolj pogost način onesnaževanja zraka je promet, ki predstavlja več kot petino emisij toplogrednih plinov in je odgovoren za približno tretjino celotne porabe energije. V kmetijstvu se je izkazalo, da sta največji problem onesnaževanja monokultura, ki med drugim uporablja ogromno količino strupov, in živinoreja. Ugotovili smo, da največjo težavo predstavlja onesnaženost s trdnimi delci PM₁₀, kjer je Slovenija kar na tretjem mestu med državami članicami EU v količini delcev v ozračju. Predstavljajo nevarnost tako za ozračje kakor tudi za zdravje ljudi. Največji izvor trdnih delcev so industrija, promet in kurilne naprave, ki jih uporabljajo predvsem prebivalci v mestih. Količino trdnih delcev v ozračju lahko zmanjšamo z uporabo novejših tehnologij v industriji, ki bodo pripomogle k nižji vrednosti izpustov. V prometu pa lahko k zmanjšanju delcev največ prispevajo ljudje sami – tako da uporabljajo javni prevoz. Proizvajalci avtomobilov vsako leto nameščajo v avtomobile nove naprave in tehnologije, ki znižujejo emisije avtomobilov. Mestne občine bi lahko prispevale k nižanju vrednosti delcev, tako da bi prebivalcem omogočile brezplačno ali cenejšo menjavo kurilnih naprav ali pa vsaj menjavo vrste goriv, ki se trenutno uporabljajo z gorivi, ki imajo manjše izpuste trdnih delcev pri zgorevanju.

The impact of transport infrastructure projects on sustainable development within a major logistics gateway in North West England

Opis: In the North West of England the issue of a perceived infrastructure gap is of increasing concern. Investment needs to be made to improve the transport infrastructure of the region if it is to be expected to promote the development of its own regional logistics gateway. Funding tools have been set up to address the challenges arising from the imbalance in infrastructure development that exists between regions in the north of the United Kingdom and those in the south. For regions with well developed economies the outlook is promising as the availability of modern transport infrastructure looks set to improve. However, some sources believe that the development of new transport infrastructure will have a negative impact upon sustainable development. It is expected that this will occur in a range of both direct and indirect ways. As a result, it is critical that planning for the creation of new intermodal transport infrastructure, or the upgrading of that which already exists, takes into account the impact that these developments will have on the sustainable development of the host region. A scenario based development methodology is proposed in this paper. It was developed to provide a way to identify potential scenarios that may arise within a given region as a result of transport infrastructure projects. To create significant scenarios the methodology is dependent on the availability of a sufficient quantity of quality data. For this paper that data was collected through a focus group composed of stakeholders from the region in question. This was further supported by the performance of an impact survey using the same group of stakeholders.

PREVERJANJE USTREZNOSTI OBJEKTA STANOVANJSKE STAVBE GLEDE NA TOPLOTNE IZGUBE

Opis: V današnjem času je optimizacija porabe energije vse bolj pomembna. Racionalna uporaba energije in zmanjševanje toplotnih emisij je izziv za inženirje gradbeništva, ki strmijo k iskanju načinov reduciranja nepotrebnih izgub in varčevanju energije. Diplomsko delo obravnava izračun toplotnih izgub za stanovanjski objekt, ki je po funkciji samostojna stanovanjska hiša. Najprej bomo izračunali toplotne prepustnosti fasade, stropa in tal objekta in bomo ugotovili, če so toplotne izgube ustrezne glede na maksimalne vrednosti, ki jih določa tehnična smernica. Zatem bomo izračunali koeficient toplotnega prehoda skozi ovoj stavbe, kjer bomo upoštevali toplotne izgube zaradi linijskih toplotnih mostov. Na koncu bomo predlagali nekaj rešitev za zmanjšanje toplotnih izgub.

The costs of container transport flow between Far East and Serbia using different liner shipping services

Opis: Liner shipping is the most efficient mode of transport for goods. International liner shipping is a sophisticated network of regularly scheduled services that transports goods from anywhere in the world to anywhere in the world at low cost and with greater energy efficiency than any other form of international transportation. Liner shipping connects countries, markets, businesses and people, allowing them to buy and sell goods on a scale not previously possible. Today, the liner shipping industry transports goods representing approximately one-third of the total value of global trade. Ocean shipping contributes significantly to international stability and security. Considering the large and constant struggle in the market in terms of competitive pricing of products, a very important and indispensable role represents the container transport with a clear task to define the final price of the product. This paper analyzes the costs of container transport flow between Far East and Serbia, using different liner shipping services, observing the six world’s largest container operators (Maersk Line, Mediterranean Shipping Company, CMA CGM, Evergreen Line, China Ocean Shipping Company and Hapag-Lloyd) and inland (truck-rail-river) transport corridors. These corridors include distance between selected Mediterranean ports (Koper, Rijeka, Bar, Thessaloniki, Constanta) and Serbia. As a result, in this paper is considered a mathematical model that provides a comparative analysis of transportation costs on the different routes. It is observed already existing transport routes and it is also given hypothetical review to the development of new transport routes. The main goal of this research is to provide an optimal route with lowest transportation cost during container transport. Selection of the best route in the intermodal network is a very difficult and complex task. The costs in all modes of transport and the quality of their services are not constant parameters and changes depending on a number of conditions and characteristics. The analysis of this model within combined maritime and land-based networks would prove helpful for the study of logistics chains, the hinterland-foreland continuum, intermodal transport systems, and market competitiveness.

Systematic approach to sustainability of novel internet-based system for food logistics

Opis: The aim of this paper is to evaluate the sustainability of a novel internet-based system for food logistics and to create a framework for more detailed future sustainability assessments. Digitalization enables food shopping via the internet and food delivery from producers to consumers using only a single terminal. The sustainability of different food logistic options was evaluated through a literature review and life cycle assessment. Given the frame of reference, there is a gap in the knowledge on the sustainability of food logistics. In addition, the current literature does not recognize a novel internet-based system for food logistics, as the literature has focused on evaluating the internet-based food logistics of traditional actors. The life cycle assessment results show that new food logistic options could reduce GHG emissions, but various factors affect the magnitude of the reductions. We also present a systematic approach to which factors should be included in future research. This paper creates a base for more detailed future food logistic sustainability assessments.

Smart city solutions in regard to urbanization processes

Opis: The aim of this paper is to show the spectrum of problems associated with the growing importance of cities in the context of rapidly occurring processes of urbanization. Therefore the following issues are included: the concept of smart cities, which are a combination of the intelligent use of information systems allowing for active management of the various areas of urban activity with the potential of institutions, companies and the active involvement and creative people; transport problems and the use of new technologies. Particular attention will be given to both, the issue of transport congestion as the strongest factor affecting the quality of life of residents and to the role of social capital in the creation of sustainable development. To exemplify the result of the cooperation between southern Polish communities there will be presented a case of the introducing process of the Silesian Card of Public Services with a wide range of its functionality.

Seaport efficiency and productivity based on Data Envelopment Analysis and Malmquist Productivity Index

Opis: Seaport efficiency and productivity are the critical factors for handling of goods in the international supply chains and plays an important role in trade exchange with other countries. It is important to evaluate efficiency and productivity of seaports to reflect their status and reveal their position in competitive environment. The main purpose of this article is to use Data Envelopment Analysis and Malmquist Productivity Index to measure the technical efficiency and total factor productivity of container ports. DEA analysis enables one to assess how efficiently a seaports uses the available inputs to generate a set of outputs relative to other units in the data set. This article presents the use CCR and BCC DEA model, to determine overall technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of container ports. The analysis gives a possibility to create a efficiency ranking of seaports. The study also applies the Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI), which was used to analyze changes in seaports productivity. The study indicated that technological progress had a greater impact on the change in productivity of container ports than changes in technical efficiency.
