1. Development of Methodology for Estimation of Energy-Efficient Building Renovation Using Application of MINLP-Optimized Timber–Glass Upgrade ModulesMaja Lešnik Nedelko, Stojan Kravanja, Miroslav Premrov, Vesna Žegarac Leskovar, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Vertical addition to already-existing structures is an approach to energy-efficient building renovation. It presents an opportunity for the densification of built-up areas and the construction of new usable spaces. While many studies have dealt with the subject of renovating buildings with a focus on energy efficiency, far fewer studies have specifically examined the potential of vertically extending existing buildings, an approach which could be introduced in new sustainable building policies. The objective of this study is to redevelop optimal timber–glass upgrade modules, considering the ideal proportions of glazing for all cardinal directions, by using discrete Mixed-Integer Non-Linear Programming optimization. The novelty of the suggested method resides in the synchronous optimization of the upgrade modules’ daylighting and energy-efficiency performance, resulting in the creation of optimization methods that can determine the optimal glazing proportions for all cardinal directions and incorporate rational design and window measurement. The impact of the developed Mixed-Integer Non-Linear Programming-optimized upgrade modules is compared to previously designed optimized upgrade modules. Finally, a methodology for estimating the energy efficiency of building renovations incorporating vertical additions using the timber–glass upgrade modules was developed, supporting the quick assessment of the reduction in hybrid buildings’ energy consumption for heating and cooling according to boundary conditions, presuming that they undergo the suggested renovations. The findings are applicable (not exclusively) to Slovenia’s residential building stock, which makes up around 20% of the country’s current housing stock and was mainly constructed between 1946 and 1970. This offers a substantial opportunity to improve the overall sustainability and energy efficiency of the country’s housing stock. The proposed approach offers a holistic solution to drive sustainable development in the built environment by incorporating all three pillars of sustainability (environmental, social, and economic). 2. The role of visualization in estimating cardiovascular disease risk : scoping reviewAdrijana Svenšek, Mateja Lorber, Lucija Gosak, Katrien Verbert, Zalika Klemenc-Ketiš, Gregor Štiglic, 2024, pregledni znanstveni članek Opis: Background: Supporting and understanding the health of patients with chronic diseases and cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk is often a major challenge. Health data are often used in providing feedback to patients, and visualization plays an important role in facilitating the interpretation and understanding of data and, thus, influencing patients’ behavior. Visual analytics enable efficient analysis and understanding of large datasets in real time. Digital health technologies can promote healthy lifestyle choices and assist in estimating CVD risk. Objective: This review aims to present the most-used visualization techniques to estimate CVD risk. Methods: In this scoping review, we followed the Joanna Briggs Institute PRISMA-ScR (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews) guidelines. The search strategy involved searching databases, including PubMed, CINAHL Ultimate, MEDLINE, and Web of Science, and gray literature from Google Scholar. This review included English-language articles on digital health, mobile health, mobile apps, images, charts, and decision support systems for estimating CVD risk, as well as empirical studies, excluding irrelevant studies and commentaries, editorials, and systematic reviews. Results: We found 774 articles and screened them against the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The final scoping review included 17 studies that used different methodologies, including descriptive, quantitative, and population-based studies. Some prognostic models, such as the Framingham Risk Profile, World Health Organization and International Society of Hypertension risk prediction charts, Cardiovascular Risk Score, and a simplified Persian atherosclerotic CVD risk stratification, were simpler and did not require laboratory tests, whereas others, including the Joint British Societies recommendations on the prevention of CVD, Systematic Coronary Risk Evaluation, and Framingham-Registre Gironí del COR, were more complex and required laboratory testing–related results. The most frequently used prognostic risk factors were age, sex, and blood pressure (16/17, 94% of the studies); smoking status (14/17, 82%); diabetes status (11/17, 65%); family history (10/17, 59%); high-density lipoprotein and total cholesterol (9/17, 53%); and triglycerides and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (6/17, 35%). The most frequently used visualization techniques in the studies were visual cues (10/17, 59%), followed by bar charts (5/17, 29%) and graphs (4/17, 24%). Conclusions: On the basis of the scoping review, we found that visualization is very rarely included in the prognostic models themselves even though technology-based interventions improve health care worker performance, knowledge, motivation, and compliance by integrating machine learning and visual analytics into applications to identify and respond to estimation of CVD risk. Visualization aids in understanding risk factors and disease outcomes, improving bioinformatics and biomedicine. However, evidence on mobile health’s effectiveness in improving CVD outcomes is limited. 4. Izdelava digitalnega dvojčka proizvodnega obrata v podjetju Plastika Skaza d.o.o. : magistrsko deloLuka Črnčič, 2023, magistrsko delo Opis: Magistrsko delo obsega opis izdelave digitalnega dvojčka proizvodnega obrata v podjetju Plastika Skaza d.o.o., s pomočjo katere je bila izvedena analiza zasedenosti operaterjev strojev na posameznih delovnih mestih. Rezultate analize stanja zasedenosti operaterjev smo dobili s pomočjo simulacije proizvodnega procesa v programu Visual Components v katerem smo digitalni dvojček tudi izdelali. Za izdelavo digitalnega dvojčka je bilo potrebno proizvodni proces dobro preučiti, da je bila razlika med fizičnim proizvodnim obratom in digitalnim dvojčkom minimalna. S pomočjo rezultatov analize stanja zasedenosti operaterjev smo oblikovali predloge za izboljšave proizvodnega procesa, ki smo jih prav tako analizirali s pomočjo simulacije. S pomočjo izvedbe analize smo lahko podali optimizacijske predloge, s katerimi je mogoče znižati stroške proizvodnega obrata. Prav tako smo s statistično analizo modela potrdili njegovo natančnost in sovpadanje z realnim proizvodnim procesom. Glavni cilj magistrskega dela je bil predlagati spremembe, ki bi omogočale enak izkupiček proizvodnega obrata z manjšim skupnim številom operaterjev strojev v proizvodnem obratu.

5. Audio-visual effects of a collaborative robot on worker efficiencyAljaž Javernik, Klemen Kovič, Iztok Palčič, Robert Ojsteršek, 2023, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Collaborative workplaces are increasingly used in production systems. The possibility of
direct collaboration between robots and humans brings many advantages, as it allows the simultaneous use of human and robotic strengths. However, collaboration between a collaborative robot
and a human raises concerns about the safety of the interaction, the impact of the robot on human
health, human efficiency, etc. Additionally, research is unexplored in the field of the collaborative
robot’s audio-visual effects on the worker’s efficiency. Our study results contribute to the field of
studying collaborative robots’ audio-visual effects on the worker’s behavior. In this research, we
analyze the effect of the changing motion parameters of the collaborative robot (speed and acceleration) on the efficiency of the worker and, consequently, on the production process. Based on the
experimental results, we were able to confirm the impact of robot speed and acceleration on the
worker’s efficiency in terms of assembly time. We also concluded that the sound level and presence of
a visual barrier between the worker and robot by themselves have no effect on the worker’s efficiency.
The experimental part of the paper clearly identifies the impact of visualization on work efficiency.
According to the results, the robot’s audio-visual effects play a key role in achieving high efficiency
and, consequently, justifying the implementation of a collaborative workplace. 6. Avtomatski sortirnik lego kock s pomočjo strojnega vida : magistrsko deloVid Ostroško, 2022, magistrsko delo Opis: Namen magistrske naloge je bila izdelava programa, kateri bi s pomočjo kamere preveril tip kocke na tekočem traku in jo pospravil v pravilen zaboj. Uporabili smo sortirnik lego kock s koračnimi motorji za premikanje traku, analognimi senzorji za zaznavo kocke, servomotorji za pospravljanje kocke v zaboj in mikrokrmilnik STM. Mikrokrmilnik je služil za premikanje tekočega traku, zaznavanje prisotnosti kocke in pospravljanje kocke v pravilen zaboj. Nanj smo priklopili računalnik na katerem je deloval program za prepoznavo tipa kocke in uporabniški vmesnik. Program na mikrokrmilniku je napisan v programskem okolju STM32CubeIDE v jeziku C, program na računalniku pa v programskem okolju Visual Studio v jeziku Python. 8. Izdelava večplatformnega okolja za agilni razvoj aplikacij v programskem jeziku C++ : diplomsko deloNiko Kolar, 2019, diplomsko delo Opis: V diplomskem delu smo na podlagi proučevanja izdelali razvojno okolje, namenjeno razvoju novih razširitev s programskim jezikom C++ za razširjanje programske opreme Dewesoft. To okolje je bilo razvito kot del zelo uporabljanega razvojnega orodja Microsoft Visual Studio ter njihovo tehnologijo Visual Studio Extensibility (VSIX). Z izdelavo lastnega okolja smo podprli tudi agilen način razvoja programske opreme, ki se v industriji tudi vse bolj uporablja. Podporo agilnosti smo realizirali z uporabo raznih praks, ki so med razvijalci precej razširjene, kot na primer podpora grafični izdelovi uporabniškega vmesnika. Regulacija sile na linearni hidravlični servo osi : magistrsko deloLuka Jerebic, 2018, magistrsko delo Opis: Magistrsko delo opisuje načrtovanje, izvedbo in delovanje linearne elektro-hidravlične enote za merjenje in regulacijo sile. Takšne sisteme pogosto najdemo v industriji, saj hidravlika omogoča velike sile z relativno majhnimi stroji.
Enota je sestavljena iz hidravličnih in električnih komponent. Prve skrbijo za prenos in pretvorbo energije, druge za napajanje, nadzor in varnost. V delu bodo opisane tri možnosti merjenja sile, in sicer: lasten senzor z merilnimi lističi, merilna celica sile in meritev sile s pomočjo razlike tlakov v komorah valja. Na ta način izmerjeno silo nato uporabimo pri povratni zanki regulacije sile. Regulacijo sile potrebujemo kasneje za avtomatizacijo preizkuševališča za določanje dinamične trdnosti materialov. Za krmiljenje komponent je vgrajen krmilnik proizvajalca Beckhoff tipa CX5140. Gre za zmogljiv večjedrni krmilnik, ki poganja operacijski sistem Windows Embedded Standard. Na njem se izvaja program zgrajen v programskem okolju Twincat 3. Za vmesnik človek-stroj smo izdelali še program v Visual Studio C# , ki poleg interakcije izvaja še nekatere druge funkcije. 10. Razvoj skladiščnega informacijskega sistemaPeter Jenko, 2018, diplomsko delo/naloga Opis: Diplomsko delo obravnava težave z delom zastarelega blagajniškega programa v podjetju Dežnik, d. o. o. Proces, pri katerem se uporablja program za izdelavo servisnih listkov, na katerem so podatki stranke in izdelkov, se zaradi zastarele programske opreme po nepotrebnem upočasni in zaplete.
V sklopu diplomskega dela se najprej analizira posnetke obstoječega stanja procesa servisiranja izdelkov. S kritično analizo se nato skuša izpostaviti pomanjkljivosti programske opreme, ki spremlja ta proces. S tem bomo skušali pokazati, da bi celoten proces potekal hitreje ter z manj zapletov, če bi blagajniški program posodobili ter ga razširili s podatkovno bazo.
Diplomsko delo nato podrobno opiše razvoj programske rešitve, vključno s postavitvijo lokalne podatkovne baze ter povezave podatkovne množice s prototipno aplikacijo. Implementacija podatkovne baze bo omogočila uresničitev iskalne funkcije v aplikaciji. Funkcija hitrega iskanja podatkov po bazi je ključnega pomena pri razvoju programske rešitve. Funkcija iskanja in popravljanja podatkov v bazi strank in popravil, ki so vezana na določene stranke, bo odpravila zaplete, ki jih povzročajo servisni listki ter sedanja zastarela programska oprema. Po razvoju aplikacije skušamo pokazati, kako bi taka programska rešitev delovala v praksi.
