A conceptual framework to establish and operate a global logistics energy hub
Mahmoud A. Hammad, Sara El Gazzar, Marjan Sternad, 2021, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: Energy-consuming countries are affected by obstructions in supplies or conflicts that mayoccur along the energy transit path. Hence, the presence of a global logistics hub for energy acting as a connecting bridge between energy-supplying and energy-consuming countries can overcome suchtroubles, support the sustainable flow of energy, and achieve the overall operational efficiency of theenergy supply chain. However, establishing a global energy hub is a complicated issue, especiallyin the absence of a clear approach for this. Through conducting a systematic literature review on 36 papers over the past two decades, we identified the key determinants for each player in theenergy supply chain and proposed a leading and integrated conceptual framework for establishing and operating a global logistics energy hub, with a particular focus on oil and gas. This article contributes to knowledge by providing a comprehensive review targeting energy hubs from a logistics perspective, as previous studies have addressed energy hubs from other perspectives suchas political, legal, and security perspectives, while the logistics perspective has not been tackled comprehensively. Moreover, the suggested framework can be then used by further researchers to develop the performance of energy hubs. Practically, this framework can be employed to identify the requirements for a country to become a global energy hub.

n-ary transit functions in graphs
Manoj Changat, Joseph Mathews, Iztok Peterin, Prasanth G. Narasimha-Shenoi, 2010, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: ▫$n$▫-ary transit functions are introduced as a generalization of binary (2-ary) transit functions. We show that they can be associated with convexities in natural way and discuss the Steiner convexity as a natural ▫$n$▫-ary generalization of geodesicaly convexity. Furthermore, we generalize the betweenness axioms to ▫$n$▫-ary transit functions and discuss the connectivity conditions for underlying hypergraph. Also ▫$n$▫-ary all paths transit function is considered.
Ključne besede: mathematics, graph theory, n-arity, transit function, betweenness, Steiner convexity

Cover-incomparability graphs of posets
Boštjan Brešar, Manoj Changat, Sandi Klavžar, Matjaž Kovše, Joseph Mathews, Antony Mathews, 2008, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: Vpeljemo graf pokritij-neprimerljivosti (ki mu na kratko rečemo CI-graf), katerega množica povezav je unija množic povezav grafa neprimerljivosti in grafa pokritja dane delno urejene množice. S pomočjo prepovedanih izometričnih delno urejenih podmnožic, okarakteriziramo tiste delno urejene množice, katerih CI-graf je tetiven (razdaljno-hereditaren, ptolemajski) in predlagamo splošen pristop k obravnavi CI-grafov. Predstavimo tudi več odprtih problemov.
Ključne besede: matematika, teorija grafov, delno urejena množica, temeljni graf, tranzitna funkcija, tetiven graf, razdaljno-hereditaren graf, mathematics, graph theory, poset, underlying graph, transit function, chordal graph, distance-hereditary graph, claw

Republic of Macedonia as a transit country for the illegal trafficking in the "Balkan route"
Zlate Dimovski, Kire Babanoski, Ice Ilijevski, 2013, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: Purpose: This study aims to give an empirical overview of the illegal trafficking with human beings, drugs and weapons in the Republic of Macedonia and its involvement in the transnational crime within the “Balkan Route”. Design/Methods/Approach: A qualitative-quantitative approach will be used, using analysis of the current scientific literature, academic publications and scientific papers from this area, and statistical methods using statistical analysis and interpretations of data on committed crimes and the perpetrators of illegal trafficking (with national and international elements). Findings: The scope and structure of this crime in the Republic of Macedonia and its international character will be seen through empirical data and discussions. Research limitations / implications: Difficulties in the study of the transit position of the Republic of Macedonia within the “Balkan Route” especially in terms of illegal trafficking, are related to limitations in revealing the dark figure in this type of crime. Our research is largely based on existing scientific expertise and expert estimates and prognosis. Practical implications: The practical aim here is to enable the prevention of the transnational illegal trafficking in the Republic of Macedonia as a transit country and its exclusion from the “Balkan Route”. Originality/Value: The conclusions which arise from this study should contribute to creating and updating of the national strategy and optimal measures in combating trafficking in Macedonia by law enforcement agencies, thereby preventing the transit of criminality from the Middle East, through Macedonian territory into the Western countries.
Ključne besede: illegal trafficking, “Balkan Route”, Republic of Macedonia, transit

Characterizing posets for which their natural transit functions coincide

Marko Burjek, 2014, magistrsko delo
