1. Software self-hosting : a systematic review of quantitative research☆Luka Hrgarek, Lili Nemec Zlatolas, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: In an era marked by heightened concerns surrounding personal privacy and data security, software self-hosting has gained significance as a means for individuals and organizations to reclaim control over their digital assets. This systematic review aims to identify relevant research gaps in the quantitative analysis of self-hosting, primarily focusing on studies employing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and regression techniques. Employing a refined version of the Systematic Mapping Process, we analyzed 49 quantitative research papers whose concepts were grouped into 12 substantive groups. The findings reveal a predominant concentration on constructs related to the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), with limited exploration of self-hosting specifically, overshadowed by an emphasis on cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), and privacy aspects. Our review provides a comprehensive overview of the existing literature and highlights the need for more focused research on self-hosting itself. This systematic review serves as a foundational resource for researchers and practitioners aimed at advancing the discourse on self-hosting. 2. Acceptance of GIS within ERP system : research study in higher educationSimona Sternad Zabukovšek, Polona Tominc, Zdenko Deželak, Gaik Nalbandyan, Samo Bobek, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: GIS is often used in companies where employees already use enterprise information systems/enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and where both systems are used simultaneously. This article is a research study of GIS acceptance by users using GIS, not as a stand-alone tool, but as an integrated tool into the ERP system. The research was conducted using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), one of the most often used research models for researching behavioral intention and actual use of information systems. For this research study, TAM has been modified and extended with external factors. The main research objective is to identify determinants of GIS acceptance and the attitude of individuals toward using GIS integrated with ERP systems. The structural equation model with partial least squares (PLS) method was used to analyze collected survey data. The study researched 12 external factors in the TAM model, out of which 10 were found significant. The most important factors that impact behavioral intention to use ERP-GIS systems are perceived usefulness of ERP-GIS systems and attitude toward using GIS, followed by education and training about ERP-GIS systems and perceived enjoyment using ERP-GIS systems. 3. Barriers to applying last-mile logistics in the Egyptian market : an extension of the technology acceptance modelMohamed Amr Sultan, Tomaž Kramberger, Mahmoud Barakat, Ahmed Hussein Ali, 2023, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Drawing on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this research aims to investigate
the impact of social, environmental, and technological barriers on adopting the last-mile logistics
application. This research used a self-administrative questionnaire to collect 1060 respondents from
the Egyptian market and analysed it using partial least square structural equation modeling. The
findings revealed that some elements could obstruct the implementation of last-mile delivery technologies, namely complexity, collaboration efforts between users and application developers and the
impact of technical knowledge and expertise on the potentially involved users. The sharing economy
helps organisations reduce contaminants, emissions and carbon footprints, and last-mile logistics is
one of the tools of the sharing economy that can enhance the productivity and competitiveness of
logistics and boost consumer fulfillment. This research will help enhance organisations’ performance
in Egypt as a developing country and push towards applying environmental sustainability practices,
as it introduces a tool to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce emissions by illustrating how
last-mile logistics can be implemented. This is particularly important as last-mile logistics face some
implementation barriers, especially in developing countries. In addition, it will help in extending
the theory through conceptualising its abstract ideas with the research variables and applying it in a
different context.

4. Are we ready to use microchip implants? : an international crosssectional studyAnja Žnidaršič, Alenka Baggia, Jakub Fischer, Maciej Rostanski, Borut Werber, Antonín Pavlíček, 2021, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Background and purpose: Despite their clear relevance to human life, microchip implants are still widely viewed as negative, threatening our privacy and raising growing concerns about our health. This paper aims to investigate the important factors influencing people’s perception of microchip implants and their willingness to use them for different purposes.
Methodology: The cross-sectional study was conducted in three European countries and the data were analysed using the group Structural Equation Modeling approach. Only complete answers to the online survey questionnaire items were used representing a convenience sample of 804 respondents.
Results: The results show that perceived ease of use, usefulness and perceived trust are significant predictors of intention to use microchip implants. Perceived trust is influenced by privacy and technology safety. Concerns about painful procedures and other health concerns reduce the perceived usefulness of microchip implants. Apart from the predictor health concerns, the results were similar in all countries.
Conclusion: Based on the presented results, researchers interested in investigating the actual use of microchip implants can establish a solid foundation for their research. The results may assist policy makers in developing the regulations to ensure the safe use of microchip implants and allow for a higher level of security. As a follow-up, investigation of changes in the acceptance of microchip implants following the threat of a global pandemic is proposed.
