1. Systematic review of Glamping in Europe and its development prospects : 1st cycle academic bachelor's studies graduate thesisVasily Shaklein, 2024, diplomsko delo Opis: Glamping is an innovative type of accommodation focused on green, health, adventure and experience concepts of travel. In recent years, Glamping has emerged as a niche in tourism with its market product and has become a promising direction for developing the European tourism industry. The study attempts to consolidate and systematize the information available on Glamping to expand existing sites, create new ones, and form a regulated and understandable glamping offer for tourists to increase the demand for this type of travel. Also, the study aims to identify factors that contribute to the popularization of Glamping and find ways to strengthen visitors' interest and increase the market share. In addition, the expectations of various target groups when choosing Glamping were analyzed to develop a strategy to maintain the interest of regular guests and attract new ones.
With a qualitative research method, we identified key factors affecting the success and occupancy of glamping sites. Also, the study used a systematic literature review to examine and synthesize evidence of specific factors influencing glamping development. Glamping positively affects the activity and growth of nature-based tourism focused on outdoor recreation, above all, camping, reducing the seasonality factor and expanding the time frame of active operation beyond the summer season. The basic concept of Glamping involves minimal environmental impact and close contact between man and nature. Since the demand for recreation outside the urban environment is extremely high in modern society, and concerns about environmental pollution are growing yearly, Glamping is the exact tourism niche that can satisfy those needs. We found that efforts need to be made at the legislative level to establish generally accepted standards and regulations that Glamping must follow, as a robust legal framework will help overcome barriers to development. In this regard, we suggest conducting a study among glamping business owners in the future to identify the problems that glamping faces, understand better the existing barriers, and focus more effectively on Glamping popularization and development. 2. A system dynamics approach to decision-making tools in farm tourism developmentMaja Borlinič Gačnik, Črtomir Rozman, Andrej Škraba, Boris Prevolšek, 2020, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Background: Besides visiting the main tourist attractions in Slovenia, many tourists want to spend their free time in the countryside as well, but the number of farming establishments in Slovenia diminished distinctly in the last years.
Objectives: This paper aims to develop a system dynamics model, with the goal to analyse dynamics of the diversification of agricultural holdings into farm tourism activities in Slovenia.
Methods/Approach: A system dynamics methodology was chosen to model the diversification in farm tourism. First, we present a basic concept of a system dynamics model with a causal loop diagram. Further, a system dynamics model with different scenarios is presented.
Results: The main feedback loops were identified, and the simulation model was used to analyse different simulation scenarios of the transition of farming establishments into farm tourism facilities.
Conclusions: The model provides the answers to the strategic questions about the dynamics of transfer into tourist farms, using several simulation scenarios. The transition mainly relies on subsidies, promotion of diversification and the growth of rural tourism, which provides a relevant direction for the development of future incentives. 3. Agrowellness goods distribution in the light of sustainability : the consumer perspective and the case of slovenia’s eastern cohesion regionLazar Pavić, Milica Rančić Demir, 2024, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: This study explores the distribution of agrowellness products and services from a sustainability perspective, focusing on consumer perceptions in Slovenia’s Eastern Cohesion Region. Utilizing an empirical approach through an online survey, the research assesses how sustainable lifestyle practices influence the frequency of agrowellness goods consumption and their perceived availability. The study employs structural equation modeling (SEM) to test four hypotheses, revealing that sustainable lifestyle practices positively affect the frequency of agrowellness product usage, enhancing the perception of product availability. A critical novel contribution of the research is identifying sociodemographic factors as significant moderators of these relationships, offering more profound insights into consumer behavior. Additionally, the frequency of use mediates the link between a sustainable lifestyle and perceived availability, with gender, age, education, and the place of residence as essential moderators. The findings contribute to theory and practice, offering actionable recommendations for marketing and distribution strategies to enhance the accessibility and appeal of agrowellness products. These insights provide valuable guidance for stakeholders in agriculture, rural development, and wellness tourism, with broader implications for policy development aimed at promoting sustainable lifestyles and supporting rural economies. 5. Wine tourism as a type of well-being tourism – literature reviewJasna Potočnik Topler, Vita Petek, 2022, samostojni znanstveni sestavek ali poglavje v monografski publikaciji Opis: The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of wine tourism on well-being. Wine tourism includes many activities, and not only wine tastings, perhaps paired with food tastings. It includes hiking and biking in the vineyards, reading literature on wine (fiction and non-fiction), attending seminars and conferences on wine, getting acquainted with new landscapes and socializing with others. Another issue relates to whether wine, particularly red wine, confers additional health benefits. Within the Mediterranean diet, wine seems to be an essential component. The starting point for wine and health studies was the “French Paradox”, which suggests that consuming red wine daily not only helps the cardiovascular system, but also increases lifespan due to the resveratrol found in the skins and tannins of red grapes. Recent evidence suggests that wine consumption is correlated with less stress and prevention of the development of certain cancers. 7. Diversification of tourism offer as a means of socio-economic development of peripheral regions : case study of KupresRanko Mirić, Nusret Drešković, Boris Avdić, 2016, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Many modern countries have significant problems with disparities in development between core and periphery. Municipality of Kupres in Bosnia and Herzegovina is one typical example of peripheral area, which is located within the sparsely populated region of Dinaric Karst Highland. That is why tourism offer need to become more diversified. Methodology in this paper is focused on analysis of all potentials and motives that wider area of Kupres possesses, which can be valorized through systematic approach of institutions and local community. It is intended to emphasize a significance of geographical expertise in these kinds of problematic. Field research and GIS analysis are used for exploration of study area. 10. Cultural landscape and tourism on historic ranches of the Pantanal wetlands of BrazilAna Paula Correia de Araújo, Ana Maria de Bicalho, 2009, pregledni znanstveni članek Opis: The rise of eco-tourism and rural tourism as new complementary activities which add value to traditional stock-raising functions on historic ranches located in the Pantanal Wetlands of Central-West Brazil is analyzed. Differently from other rural enterprises of the booming Central-West, which produce the majority of Brazilian export commodities, the specific environmental conditions of seasonal wetlands and perennial swamp of the Pantanal restrict the viable options for gaining access to global markets. Consequently, after 1990 ranchers of the Pantanal have developed tourist activities based on the spectacular natural beauty of the wetlands as well as the distinct ranching culture. The ranches have modernized with amenities to attract domestic and foreign tourists and tourism has assumed an importance source of their income.
