Povezanost kliničnih kazalcev uspešnosti zdravljenja astme pri odraslih z nukleotidnimi polimorfizmi
Anton Lopert, 2015, doktorsko delo/naloga

Disability in patients with chronic non-specific low back pain
Zalika Klemenc-Ketiš, 2011, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: Aim: To validate the Slovene version of the Oswestry Disability Index. Method: A case series study of 129 adult patients with non-specific chronic low back pain attending a 10-day physical therapy programme. Visual Analog Pain Scale (VAS), Euroqol questionnaire (EQq), and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) were used at the beginning and at the end of the physical therapy programme. Results: Cronbach's a of the Slovene ODI was 0.876 at the beginning of the physical therapy programme and 0.901 at the end of the programme. All items of the questionnaire loaded on the same factor. A significant positive correlation existed between the Slovene ODI and VAS, EQ-5D and EQ-VAS at the beginning of the physical therapy programme (r=0.630, p<0.001; r=0.657, p<0.001; r=-0.510, p<0.001, respectively), as well as at the end of the programme (r=0.491, p<0.001; r=0.725, p<0.001; r=-0.648, p<0.001, respectively). The difference between ODI scores obtained at the first and at the second interview was 2.7 ± 5.2 (p<0.001), and the difference between ODI disability scores was 5.4 ± 10.5 (p<0.001). The effect size of the Slovene ODI questionnaire was 0.30. Conclusions: The Slovene ODI questionnaire is a reliable and valid instrument for assessing outcomes of physical therapy in patients with chronic non-specific low back pain.

Commercial aquaponics approaching the European market: to consumers' perceptions of aquaponics products in Europe
Vesna Miličić, Ragnheidur Thorarinsdottir, Maria Dos Santos, Maja Turnšek, 2017, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: The first commercial aquaponics companies are starting up in Europe. The main focus has been on solving technology issues and optimizing production. However, increasing attention is now being paid to certification and regulations linked to aquaponics, as well as the marketing of products and services. The paper presents the results of a study whose main aim was to estimate consumers’ knowledge about aquaponics and their acceptance of aquaponics products in different European regions. An on-line questionnaire was administered to the general public through the aquaponics network of Food and Agriculture COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) Action FA1305 “The EU Aquaponics Hub—Realising Sustainable Integrated Fish and Vegetable Production for the EU” in 16 European countries. The methodology includes univariate and multivariate statistical techniques. The results show that, on average, attitudes towards aquaponics were positive, showing no significant differences between those who already knew about aquaponics and those who only heard about it through the survey. More than 50% of respondents had never heard of aquaponics, whilst more than 70% had already heard of hydroponics. No more than 17% of respondents were willing to pay more for aquaponically produced products and no more than 40% more when compared to the price of products from conventional farming. The results confirm three different clusters of potential consumers of aquaponics products. They also suggest an urgent need for implementing integrated and holistic approaches involving all stakeholders in aquaponics, in order to define a marketing plan and efficient communication strategies. This COST action, other projects and public decision makers must invest in educating consumers about aquaponics through the organization of guided tours, thematic workshops and tastings of aquaponics products in order to raise their awareness about this new technology. It is absolutely urgent that public decision makers, in cooperation with aquaponics stakeholders, address the main institutional constraints, namely the introduction of aquaponics as an economic activity and the organic certification of aquaponics products.

Improving the textile's enterprises knowledge matrix
Ion Razvan Radulescu, Carmen Ghituleasa, Emilia Visileanu, Lilioara Surdu, Ana Dias, Paulo Ghezzo, Andreja Rudolf, Mirela Blaga, 2017, objavljeni znanstveni prispevek na konferenci

Opis: The textile enterprises need adequate solutions to face the competition on the global market. Innovation leverages the enterprises competitiveness: however, improving innovation is a task of research providers in the field. The Knowledge Matrix for Innovation (KMI) represents an instrument for quantifying the intangible assets of a textile enterprise. Examples of intangible assets are: innovation strategy / culture, informational resources, training methodology, relationships portfolio, IP rights etc. By improving such factors of the KMI, the textile enterprises are going to improve their competitiveness. This main aim is tackled by the Erasmus Plus – VET Project “Matrix of knowledge for innovation and competitiveness in textile enterprises - TexMatrix” (2016-2018). The red line of the project follows the definition of the KMI, the adaptation of the Benchmarking questionnaire and its implementation on the e-learning Tool, the Benchmarking study by consulting of 50 textile enterprises at consortium level, supporting the Guide with new research and innovation management solutions for the enterprises and Blended courses for 95 young trainees, based on the Guide in e-learning format. The project also aims to counsel 100 decision-factors from textile enterprises on the new solutions comprised in the Guide, within 5 Workshops. The e-learning Tool has the URL address: www.advan2tex.eu/portal/ .
