3. European projects as a good practice of providing more opportunities for people with disabilities in sports tourismKatja Čanžar, 2022, samostojni znanstveni sestavek ali poglavje v monografski publikaciji Opis: Due to its important effects on individuals and society as a whole, sport is a fundamental right. Sports activities are not evenly distributed across all social categories. As disabled sports participants comprise a small share of the total, and as most public funding for sports in Slovenia falls on the shoulders of local communities, municipalities are forced to develop programs for these groups. Sports tourism is characterized by rapid and dynamic development. As an opportunity for municipalities we describe below an example of good practice in ensuring the accessibility of sports and recreation for people with disabilities in local communities through European projects. We also found that possibilities for people with disabilities in sports tourism are an increasingly important issue and that the field is developing. European and national policies dictate universal accessibility, which, however, is linked to the cost of architectural remodelling

4. GeMMa Activity Report 2016-2022Tamara Golob, 2023, zbornik Opis: The primary aim of this publication is to support the dissemination of the research achievements of GeMMA Laboratory at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the University of Maribor. It follows the first survey published in 2016, and therefore, the actual book concentrates on the research results since then. The previous book, covering a period of 17 years, presented 35 R&D projects, while the new review of activities over the last 7 years covers as many as 58 projects. This growth is a good cue to introduce the secondary, equally important aim of the book. Namely, we would like to leave the track to our successors to stimulate them for even better research results, to show them, what is possible to achieve in 22 years starting from scratch with the will, hard work, orientation towards the applications, devotion to the research work, and the strong team spirit.

5. Selection criteria for six sigma projects in Slovenian manufacturing companiesDušan Gošnik, Matej Hohnjec, 2009, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Researches reveal that successful six sigma implementation is related to proper six sigma project prioritisation and selection. This research is limited to the selection of six sigma projects in some manufacturing companies in Slovenia. The purpose of this study is to identify what criteria are considered for prioritisation and selection of six sigma projects and how six sigma projects are selected. A research sample is limited by the number of companies which have implemented six sigma so far. The results indicate that Slovenian manufacturing organisations tend to select six sigma projects based on criteria such as customer satisfaction, connection with a business strategy financial benefits, and growth of the organisation. Several tools and techniques such as quality cost analysis, brainstorming and interviews are used to identify and prioritise projects. Identification of the most commonly used criteria to select six sigma projects can help practitioners to select projects based on multiple criteria by using tools and techniques identified in this study. This topic has not been applied in the field of Slovenian manufacturing companies and thus it presents the first study in this field in Slovenia.

6. A review of critical success factors for offshore software development projectsGoparaju Purna Sudhakar, 2013, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Offshore project success is very much important to both customer and the vendor. Based on very less success rate of overall software projects globally, critical success factors (CSFs) for offshore software projects is gaining much importance. In the current study based on literature review, a total of 75 success factors for offshore software projects are identified. Further based on their appearance in literature 20 critical success factors from 10 CSF categories are identified. Finally top six most critical success factors for offshore software projects such as trust, efficient communication, cultural understanding, relationship between client and vendor, contract type and efficient knowledge transfer are identified. The CSFs categories are prioritized in the order of importance. The important CSF categories for offshore projects found are organizational factors (both client and vendor), project factors, cultural factors and environmental factors.

7. DISKRIMINACIJA ROMOV V EU PO ODLOČBI SODIŠČA EU V ZADEVI NIKOLOVAKristina Kušar, 2015, diplomsko delo Opis: Evropska unija se je začela intenzivneje posvečati Romom ob koncu devetdesetih let, zaradi širitve na vzhodno in srednjo Evropo. Eden večjih dosežkov EU v boju proti diskriminaciji je bila Direktiva o rasni enakosti iz leta 2000. EU je namenila tudi veliko denarja romskim projektom. Kljub vsemu pa se Romi še vedno srečujejo z diskriminacijo in ekonomskimi problemi.
Anelia Georgieva Nikolova ima v bolgarskem mestu Dupnica, natančneje v mestni četrti Gizdova Mahala, trgovino z živili. V tej mestni četrti je večina romskega prebivalstva. Zaradi pogostih manipulacij električnih števcev, se je bolgarsko elektrodistribucijsko podjetje (v nadaljevanju ČEZ RB) samo v tej četrti poslužilo sporne prakse, saj je števce namestilo na višino sedmih metrov, tako da je onemogočeno preverjanje porabe. A.G.Nikolova se je zaradi tega ukrepa pritožila pri Komisiji za zaščito pred diskriminacijo (v nadaljevanju KDZ). KDZ je ugotovilo diskriminacijo, nato pa je podjetje ČEZ RB podalo tožbo na Upravnem sodišču v Sofiji. To sodišče je kasneje postavilo deset predhodnih vprašanj sodišču EU. V sodbi je sodišče poudarilo, da se načelo enakega obravnavanja ne uporablja samo za osebe neke narodnosti, ampak tudi za ostale osebe, ki se zaradi diskriminatornega ukrepa obravnavajo manj ugodno. Poudarilo je tudi da to, da v mestni četrti živijo prebivalci, ki niso Romi ne izključuje tega, da je sporna praksa nastala zaradi večine romskega prebivalstva. Sporna praksa je sicer primerna za doseganje cilja, a je Sodišče poudarilo, da je nesorazmerna glede na interese prebivalcev mestne četrti.

8. New perspectives of the regional development of old industrial areasLučka Lorber, 2010, objavljeni znanstveni prispevek na konferenci Opis: The process of brownfield revitalisation still poses a challenge in the SEE area. It is delayed and hindered because of legal, financial, environmental and image problems. These areas of old industrial cities represent an underexplored economic value, are areas for investment and could be motors for job creation. In our paper we would like to present the main goals of the revitalisation process. The main long-term goal is to develop an internationally competitive business location that will be able to attract new businesses dealings in higher value added environmentally friendly production and knowledge based services, aiming thus at faster and stable economic development of the region.
