Okoljski odtis nekaterih poljščin in zelenjadnic v različnih pridelovalnih sistemih

Opis: Intenzivno industrijsko kmetijstvo kot drugi največji onesnaževalec okolja je vedno bolj podvržen pritisku javnosti, ki zahteva trajnosten način kmetijske pridelave. Indikatorjev za oceno trajnosti pridelovalnega sistema (PS) kot celote ni. Cilj diplomskega dela je bil zasnova ter ocenitev orodja za vrednotenje trajnosti pridelave poljščin (pšenica, pira in oljne buče) in zelenjadnic (zelje in rdeča pesa) v štirih PS (konvencionalni — KON, integrirani — INT, ekološki — EKO in biološko dinamični — BD), s podatki poljskega poskusa na FKBV v sezoni 2008. Sustainable Process Index ® (SPI) za kmetijstvo preračuna okoljski odtis vseh direktnih in indirektnih porabljenih osnovnih sredstev tekom pridelave v m2. Analiza je pokazala, da so razlike med PS velike, delni rezultati okoljskega odtisa nakazujejo na mesta potrebna izboljšav tekom pridelave. Okojski odtis je bil pri vseh opazovanih kulturnih rastlinah največji v KON (skupno 3.005.108,9 m2) in najmanjši pri kontrolnem (642.906,2 m2), referenčnem PS. Največji okoljski odtis je imela pšenica v KON (792.646,8 m2) in najmanjši oljne buče v kontrolnem (113.334,7 m2) PS. Izračunan indeks okoljske učinkovitosti (okoljski odtis na enoto pridelka — kg) je trend SPI v večini potrdil. SPI je dobro in dostopno orodje za prikaz trajnosti in pomanjkljivosti PS tako za pridelovalce, javnost kot akterje politike.

AVTOMATIZACIJA IN MODELIRANJE POSLOVNIH PROCESOV Z ORODJI PROIZVAJALCEV EMC IN IBM

Opis: Podjetja se morajo pri prenovi in nakupu informacijskih rešitev zavedati svojih problemov in zahtev za informacijske rešitve ter sama raziskati vse možnosti pri ponudnikih takih informacijskih rešitev. Kot smo omenili, je na trgu veliko ponudnikov, vendar le redki ustrezajo specifičnim potrebam podjetja. Za take primere smo v tej nalogi predstavili nekatere od značilnosti takih informacijskih rešitev, ki doprinesejo podjetju največ, in nekatere probleme, ki lahko nastanejo pri uvajanju novih neprilagojenih informacijskih rešitev. Orodje za modeliranje poslovnih procesov in avtomatizacijo v podjetjih je lahko v velikih primerih projekt, ki se nikoli ne konča. Zato vsako podjetje naprej pri sebi dodela procese in s pomočjo orodij za modeliranje procesov pripomore k uspešnemu zaključku in tekočemu spremljanju verzij procesov.

PRIMERJAVA MODELIRANJA POSLOVNIH PROCESOV V RAZLIČNI PROGRAMSKIH OKOLJIH

Opis: V diplomskem delu smo se osredotočili na zastonjska in plačljiva orodja, ki podpirajo modeliranje v grafični notaciji za modeliranje poslovnih procesov BPMN. Na začetku smo podrobneje predstavili notacijo BPMN in si ogledali razlike med posameznimi različicami. Orodja, ki podpirajo BPMN, smo razdelili v tri skupine: 1) namenska spletna (Signavio Process Editor), 2) namenska namizna (BizAgi Process Modeler) in 3) splošna namizna (Visio 2007). Za vsako skupino smo podrobneje predstavili kandidata, kjer smo ugotavljali njegove prednosti in slabosti. Uporabnost, enostavnost uporabe in učinkovitost predstavnikov skupin smo ugotavljali pri preizkusu, kjer je sodelovalo 129 študentov. Rezultate smo analizirali in ugotovitve praktično uporabili pri vrednotenju variant v odločitvenem modelu, katerega smo izdelali za ugotavljanje najprimernejšega orodja pri skupinskem modeliranju. Na koncu smo povzeli rezultate raziskave in sprejeli oziroma zavrnili hipoteze, postavljene na začetku.

The development of a new process for gentle drying, micronisation and formulation of a high viscous biopoymer

Opis: Biopolymers are characterised by their biodegradable behaviour in certain environments. Especially the development of natural biopolymers from renewable resources is gathering increasing interest in the scientific as well as in the industrial sectors . Since Biopolymers may be tailored to specific requirements, the encapsulation of pharmaceutical compounds or flavours in biopolymers would open wide avenues for the production of controlled- release systems. Most common mechanical pulverisation processes are milling and grinding. With these processes it is not possible to produce specific morphologies like foams or hollow spheres, but always splintered edges. Encapsulation is carried out by common precipitation techniques. Gelatine, as a widely applied biopolymer, represents one example of those substances of large interest, but it is difficult to process. Especially gelatines with high molecular mass are difficult or almost impossible to be pulverized by spray drying techniques, due to their high viscosity. In the frame of this research work, an integrated high-pressure spraying, drying and pulverization process for high viscous gelatine was developed, based on a combination of the water removing effects "Evaporation" and "Gas-solubility". The resulting products were dry, free-flowing gelatine powders, still exhibiting high molecular masses. Due to the new, gentle method of processing, a completely new gelatine product with unique properties was obtained. Even the encapsulation of edible oil in high ratios was found to be possible with this new process. The characterisation was carried out by standard methods for gelatine on the one hand side, and standard procedures for characterising powders on the other hand side. The developed process was patented under the identifier "WO 002009135601 A1".

Using neural networks in the process of calibrating the microsimulation models in the analysis and design of roundabouts in urban areas

Opis: The thesis researches the application of neural networks in computer program calibration of traffic micro-simulation models. The calibration process is designed on the basis of the VISSIM micro-simulation model of local urban roundabouts. From the five analyzed methods of computer program calibration, Methods I, II and V were selected for a more detailed research. The three chosen calibration methods varied the number of outgoing traffic indicators predicted by neural networks and a number of neural networks in the computer program calibration procedure. Within the calibration program, the task of neural networks was to predict the output of VISSIM simulations for selected functional traffic parameters - traveling time between the measurement points and queue parameters (maximum queue and number of stopping at the roundabout entrance). The Databases for neural network training consisted of 1379 combinations of input parameters whereas the number of output indicators of VISSIM simulations was varied. The neural networks (176 of them) were trained and compared for the calibration process according to training and generalization criteria. The best neural network for each calibration method was chosen by using the two-phase validation of neural networks. The Method I is the calibration method based on calibration of a traffic indicator -traveling time and it enables validation related to the second observed indicator – queue parameters. Methods II and V connect the previously described calibration and validation procedures in one calibration process which calibrates input parameters according to two traffic indicators. Validation of the analyzed calibration methods was performed on three new sets of measured data - two sets at the same roundabout and one set on another location. The best results in validation of computer program calibration were achieved by the Method I which is the recommended method for computer program calibration. The modeling results of selected traffic parameters obtained by calibrated VISSIM traffic model were compared with: values obtained by measurements in the field, the existing analysis methods of operational roundabouts characteristics (Lausanne method, Kimber-Hollis, HCM) and modeling by the uncalibrated VISSIM model. The calibrated model shows good correspondence with measured values in real traffic conditions. The efficiency of the calibration process was confirmed by comparing the measured and modeled values of delays, of an independent traffic indicator that was not used in the process of calibration and validation of traffic micro-simulation models. There is also an example of using the calibrated model in the impact analysis of pedestrian flows on conflicting input and output flows of vehicles in the roundabout. Different traffic scenarios were analyzed in the real and anticipated traffic conditions.
