Izgradnja električnega ojačevalnika za piezoelektrični aktuator

Opis: V okviru diplomskega dela je bil izdelan hladilni sistem za električni ojačevalnik, ki ga uporabljamo za napajanje piezoelektričnih aktuatorjev. Preračunali smo temperature spoja ojačevalnika, izbrali ustrezen hladilnik in določili ustrezne ventilatorje za aktivno hlajenje sistema. Električni ojačevalnik smo nato testirali pri vhodnih signalih različnih frekvenc in amplitud, ob tem pa smo opazovali izhodni signal in temperaturo ohišja močnostnega ojačevalnika PB51. S programom Apex Power Design smo opravili analizo stabilnosti sestavljenega električnega ojačevalnika. Za lažje in bolj kvalitetno zajemanje fotografij in posnetkov smo 3d natisnili tudi nastavek za mobilni telefon, ki se pritrdi na okular mikroskopa. Tako lahko sedaj zajemamo počasne posnetke kroženja vode na mikroskopskem stekelcu, kar nam bo olajšalo nadaljnje raziskave na področju mikrofluidnih motorjev.

Uporaba Power BI kot orodja za obdelavo, analizo in vizualizacijo podatkov : diplomsko delo

Opis: Diplomsko delo vsebuje primerjavo konkurenčnih orodij poslovne inteligence in praktični primer uporabe poslovnointeligenčnega orodja Power BI. Najprej razložimo pojem poslovne inteligence, splošno opišemo orodja poslovnega obveščanja in nato podrobneje posamezna orodja, ter jih primerjamo v tabeli. S praktičnim primerom uporabe prikažemo izdelavo nadzorne plošče in vizualizacij z uporabo prosto dostopnih podatkov. Diplomsko delo zaključimo s predstavitvijo rezultatov in izkušenj.

Pressurized Water Nuclear Reactor Downcomer Flow Simulation : diplomsko delo

Opis: In the diploma thesis the flow pattern and conditions in the downcomer of a pressurized water nuclear reactor were simulated, to study coolant mixing inside the primary circuit. This was done using computational dynamics software Ansys CFX. The nuclear reactor in Krško (Slovenia) was used as a basis for the model. The downcomer geometry was simplied for a more feasible study. Three separate simulations were done: one with normal conditions, one with loss of coolant accident conditions and one with a modified geometry. The flow was then studied at different condition at the same levels using velocity contours. The results showed that the axial velocity profiles at the downcomer outlet are not completely uniform.

International Conference Fluid Power 2021 : conference proceedings

Opis: The International Fluid Power Conference is a two-day event, intended for all those professionally involved with hydraulic or pneumatic power devices and for all those, wishing to be informed about the ‘state of the art’, new discoveries and innovations within the field of hydraulics and pneumatics. The gathering of experts at this conference in Maribor has been a tradition since 1995, and is organised by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maribor, in Slovenia. Fluid Power conferences are organised every second year and cover those principal technical events within the field of fluid power technologies in Slovenia, and throughout this region of Europe. This year's conference is taking place on the 16th and 17th September in Maribor. The main focus of this year's contributions is on the integration of information systems in the field of fluid technology.

Energy efficient system for detection of elephants with Machine Learning : master's thesis

Opis: Human-Elephant Conflicts are a major problem in terms of elephant conservation. According to WILDLABS, an average of 400 people and 100 elephants are killed every year in India alone because of them. Early warning systems replace the role of human watchers and warn local communities of nearby, potentially life threatening, elephants, thus minimising the Human-Elephant Conflicts. In this Master's thesis we present the structure of an early warning system, which consists of several low-power embedded systems equipped with thermal cameras and a single gateway. To detect elephants from captured thermal images we used Machine Learning methods, specifically Convolutional Neural Networks. The main focus of this thesis was the design, implementation and evaluation of Machine Learning models running on microcontrollers under low-power conditions. We designed and trained several accurate image classification models, optimised them for on-device deployment and compared them against models trained with commercial software in terms of accuracy, inference speed and size. While writing firmware, we ported a part of the TensorFlow library and created our own build system, suitable for the libopencm3 platform. We also implemented reporting of inference results over the LoRaWAN network and described a possible server-size solution. We finally a constructed fully functional embedded system from various development and evaluation boards, and evaluated its performance in terms of power consumption. We show that embedded systems with Machine Learning capabilities are a viable solution to many real life problems.

Input parameter analysis for electrified powertrain configurator : diplomsko delo

Opis: The basis of this thesis is the tool for power train calculation of battery electric vehicles. With the help of extensive tests and analysis, we discovered the room for possible improvements, which allowed us to upgrade the tool with a better and wider data field. Therefore, the tool is easier for engineers and various users to handle. In addition, we have separated the input file from the solver, which allows safer sharing of the documents, and equipped the input interface with additional logic for handling of wrong inputs. Furthermore, the guidance and tips for the users and additional inputs for alternative data have been added. Comparing the new tool and interface with the previous one, there are significant benefits regarding data accuracy and the difficulty level of its management.

Power bi kot orodje za poslovno obveščanje v malih in srednjih podjetjih

Opis: Ko se lotimo študiranja vsebin o poslovnem obveščanju, si težko predstavljamo, da veliko podjetij posluje brez primernih poslovnih orodji oziroma na svoj prilagojen način. V naši diplomski nalogi bomo najprej razdelali pojem poslovno obveščanje. Kaj pomeni, kaj ga sestavlja in kaj se z njim lahko počne. Glede na temo naše naloge se bomo kasneje dotaknili tudi malih in srednjih podjetji, v nadaljevanju s kratico MSP. Predstavili bomo predvsem to, kako jih med seboj ločimo, kakšne so njihove posebnosti ter ugotavljali, kakšne smernice bi MSP morala upoštevati pri izbiri orodja za poslovno obveščanje. Na koncu jih bomo primerjali tudi s tem, kar ponuja orodje Power BI. Microsoft je na področju poslovnega obveščanja dolga leta vztrajal z dodatki k orodju Excel, vendar s tem komaj sledil konkurenci. Kot odgovor na to, je Microsoft razvil povsem novo orodje, Power BI, ki ga je v tem segmentu poslovanja ponovno povzdignil v sam vrh. Čeprav sta na trgu prisotni tudi dve plačljivi verziji orodja, nam že brezplačna verzija ponuja neverjetne možnosti upravljanja s podatki, pri čemer je omejitev le uporabnikova domišljija.

Comparison of different stator topologies for BLDC drives : master's thesis

Opis: The focus of this Master's thesis was to increase the output-power density of a fractional-horsepower BLDC drive. Different stator segmentation topologies were analyzed and evaluated for this purpose. The presented analysis was performed by using various models with different complexity levels, where a Magnetic Equivalent Circuit (MEC) model and a 2D transient Finite Element Method (FEM) model combined with a power-loss model, were applied systematically. Characteristic behavior of the BLDC drive was obtained in this way. The models were validated with measurement results obtained on an experimental test drive system. The influence of the weakening of the magnetic flux density and flux linkage, due to segmentation were analyzed based on the validated models. Furthermore, the increase of the thermal-stable output power and efficiency was rated, due to the consequently higher slot fill factor. Lastly, a detailed iron-loss analysis was performed for different stator topologies. The performed analysis showed that segmentation of the stator can enable a significant increase of the output power of the discussed BLDC drives, where the positive effects of segmentation outweigh the negative ones from the electromagnetic point of view. Segmentation, however, also impacts other domains, such as Mechanical and Thermal, which was out of the scope of this thesis, and will be performed in the future.

Simulation-based Evaluation of Frequency Response Analysis as a Diagnostic Tool for Deformations of Windings in Power Transformers : master's thesis

Opis: In this master’s thesis, we have established a model of a transformer winding. This model is based on the multi transmission line theory that allows us to model each turn of the winding separately. By using that approach, it was possible to calculate the frequency response of a winding in the required frequency range from 20 Hz to 2 MHz. The purpose of this simulation was to evaluate the frequency response analysis as a diagnostic tool for deformations of windings in power transformers. An evaluation was performed using sensitivity analysis of several parameters that indicate winding deformations. Finally, axial bending deformation was simulated and successfully diagnosed by applying the frequency response analysis.

Integracija power bi z erp rešitvijo

Opis: V razvijajočem in hitro spreminjajočem se poslovnem okolju, kjer se informacijska tehnologija zelo hitro razvija in prevladuje, mora biti vsako podjetje pozorno na razmere v notranjem in zunanjem okolju. Če želijo podjetja ostati uspešna in učinkovita pri svojem poslovanju ter si ohraniti konkurenčno prednost, se morajo spremembam prilagoditi. Podjetja se tega zavedajo, zato pa vedno bolj zamenjujejo obstoječe informacijske rešitve in uvajajo ERP rešitve. Posledico uvedbe ERP rešitve predstavlja velika količina podatkov, ki v njih nastajajo in se hranijo. S pomočjo integracije med ERP rešitvami in poslovno inteligenco je mogoče velike količine podatkov analizirati na različne načine. Analiziranje pomeni vizualizacijo le-teh, izdelovanje različnih poročil, ustvarjanje nadzornih plošč. V magistrskem delu spoznamo integracijo ERP rešitve Softbase z orodjem poslovne inteligence Power BI. V teoretičnem delu opišemo opredelitve ERP rešitev, poslovne inteligence, osnovne značilnosti integracije ERP rešitev in poslovne inteligence. Predstavimo tudi rešitvi Softbase in Power BI. V praktičnem delu sledi primer integracije ERP rešitve Softbase z orodjem Power BI na podjetju X. Osrednji del magistrskega dela predstavlja podrobno opisana in izpeljana integracija ERP rešitve Softbase in orodja poslovne inteligence Power BI.
