1. Geotechnical aspects of N(H)bSs for enhancing Sub-Alpine mountain climate resilienceTamara Bračko, Primož Jelušič, Bojan Žlender, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Mountain resilience is the ability of mountain regions to endure, adapt to, and recover from environmental, climatic, and anthropogenic stressors. Due to their steep topography, extreme weather conditions, and unique biodiversity, these areas are particularly vulnerable to climate change, natural hazards, and human activities. This paper examines how nature-based solutions (NbSs) can strengthen slope stability and geotechnical resilience, with a specific focus on Slovenia’s sub-Alpine regions as a case study representative of the Alps and similar mountain landscapes worldwide. The proposed Climate-Adaptive Resilience Evaluation (CARE) concept integrates geomechanical analysis with geotechnical planning, addressing the impacts of climate change through a systematic causal chain that connects climate hazards, their effects, and resulting consequences. Key factors such as water infiltration, soil permeability, and groundwater dynamics are identified as critical elements in designing timely and effective NbSs. In scenarios where natural solutions alone may be insufficient, hybrid solutions (HbSs) that combine nature-based and conventional engineering methods are highlighted as essential for managing unstable slopes and restoring collapsed geostructures. The paper provides practical examples, including slope stability analyses and reforestation initiatives, to illustrate how to use the CARE concept and how NbSs can mitigate geotechnical risks and promote sustainability. By aligning these approaches with regulatory frameworks and climate adaptation objectives, it underscores the potential for integrating NbSs and HbSs into comprehensive, long-term geotechnical strategies for enhancing mountain resilience. 2. Systematic review of Glamping in Europe and its development prospects : 1st cycle academic bachelor's studies graduate thesisVasily Shaklein, 2024, diplomsko delo Opis: Glamping is an innovative type of accommodation focused on green, health, adventure and experience concepts of travel. In recent years, Glamping has emerged as a niche in tourism with its market product and has become a promising direction for developing the European tourism industry. The study attempts to consolidate and systematize the information available on Glamping to expand existing sites, create new ones, and form a regulated and understandable glamping offer for tourists to increase the demand for this type of travel. Also, the study aims to identify factors that contribute to the popularization of Glamping and find ways to strengthen visitors' interest and increase the market share. In addition, the expectations of various target groups when choosing Glamping were analyzed to develop a strategy to maintain the interest of regular guests and attract new ones.
With a qualitative research method, we identified key factors affecting the success and occupancy of glamping sites. Also, the study used a systematic literature review to examine and synthesize evidence of specific factors influencing glamping development. Glamping positively affects the activity and growth of nature-based tourism focused on outdoor recreation, above all, camping, reducing the seasonality factor and expanding the time frame of active operation beyond the summer season. The basic concept of Glamping involves minimal environmental impact and close contact between man and nature. Since the demand for recreation outside the urban environment is extremely high in modern society, and concerns about environmental pollution are growing yearly, Glamping is the exact tourism niche that can satisfy those needs. We found that efforts need to be made at the legislative level to establish generally accepted standards and regulations that Glamping must follow, as a robust legal framework will help overcome barriers to development. In this regard, we suggest conducting a study among glamping business owners in the future to identify the problems that glamping faces, understand better the existing barriers, and focus more effectively on Glamping popularization and development. 3. Axioms of decision criteria for 3D matrix games and their applicationsMurat Özkaya, Burhaneddin İzgi, Matjaž Perc, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: In this paper, we define characteristic axioms for 3D matrix games and extend the definitions of the decision criteria under uncertainty to three dimensions in order to investigate the simultaneous effect of two different states on the decision process. We first redefine the Laplace, Wald, Hurwicz, and Savage criteria in 3D. We present a new definition depending on only the ∞-norm of the 3D payoff matrix for the Laplace criterion in 3D. Then, we demonstrate that the Laplace criterion in 3D explicitly satisfies all the proposed axioms, as well as the other three criteria. Moreover, we illustrate a fundamental example for a three-dimensional matrix with 3D figures and show the usage of each criterion in detail. In the second example, we model a decision process during the COVID-19 pandemic for South Korea to show the applicability of the 3D decision criteria using real data with two different states of nature for individuals’ actions for the quarantine. Additionally, we present an agricultural insurance problem and analyze the effects of the hailstorm and different speeds of wind on the harvest by the 3D criteria. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study that brings 3D matrices in decision and game theories together. 6. Indoor positioning system based on bluetooth low energy technology and a nature-inspired optimization algorithmPrimož Bencak, Darko Hercog, Tone Lerher, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Warehousing is one of the most important activities in the supply chain, enabling competitive advantage. Effective management of warehousing processes is, therefore, crucial for achieving minimal costs, maximum efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction. Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) are the first steps towards organizing these processes; however, due to the human factor involved, information on products, vehicles and workers may be missing, corrupt, or misleading. In this paper, a cost-effective Indoor Positioning System (IPS) based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology is presented for use in Intralogistics that works automatically, and therefore minimizes the possibility of acquiring incorrect data. The proposed IPS solution is intended to be used for supervising order-picker movements, movement of packages between workstations, and tracking other mobile devices in a manually operated warehouse. Only data that are accurate, reliable and represent the actual state of the system, are useful for detailed material flow analysis and optimization in Intralogistics. Using the developed solution, IPS technology is leveraged to enhance the manually operated warehouse operational efficiency in Intralogistics. Due to the hardware independence, the developed software solution can be used with virtually any BLE supported beacons and receivers. The results of IPS testing in laboratory/office settings show that up to 98% of passings are detected successfully with time delays between approach and detection of less than 0.5 s.
