2. The method of aesthetic transfer as a didactic principle in museum pedagogyKatja Kozjek Varl, Matjaž Duh, Jerneja Herzog, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Previous research has shown that the method of aesthetic transfer works successfully in preschool as well as in primary and secondary education when it comes to regular forms of teaching. In this study, we were interested in how this principle can be implemented in museum education in an authentic gallery space. To this end, a case study was conducted with a sample of 55 students aged 12-14 (n = 55). The method of aesthetic transfer was tested on 4 works in the Maribor Art Gallery. The results show that the method of aesthetic transfer proved to be a successful didactic principle even in the gallery space, especially as a successful principle for learning about contemporary visual art. 7. Revitalization and valorization of Onogošt fortress in Nikšić : master thesisĐina Prnjat, 2021, magistrsko delo Opis: Fortress "Onogošt", known to the public simply as Bedem, is the prominent symbol of Nikšić and a valuable fragment of the cultural and historical heritage of Montenegro. In the past decade the fortress has been renovated several times, aiming to emphasize the value and importance of the old ramparts, as well as to evaluate the spectrum of possibilities of its adaptation in the context of contemporary public city space.
These interventions breathed new life into the dilapidated debris, implying its transformation from a warrior fortification into a reclaimed cultural and artistic center of the city. However, this idea never fully flourished, and the current condition of the city fortress is far from imagined- neglected, crumbled and devastated.
With the exception of regional music festival “Bedem fest”, a and a few minor manifestations that have only scratched the surface of its enormous potential occasionally in the past decade, there are almost no other active initiatives and this monumental space remains the silent neglected urban pocket in the heart of the city. Although still dominant and crucial in the visual perception of Nikšić, the fortress today represents essential ravaged resource of the city.
The purpose of this master thesis is to restore, conserve, reconstruct and repurpose the city fortress by creating an attractive destination inside as well as the outside of the walls, which would be enjoyed by both residents and tourists. The project aims to research the potential and discover the strategy model to restore new life and impose purpose to the rapidly devastating ramparts. The renewal paradigm is researched in the course of three main segments: adaptation, revitalization and repurpose.
The project aspires to preserve the existing visual identity of the city walls and raise awareness of rich cultural and historical heritage trough introducing several museums, culture facilities as well as multicultural public spaces, resulting in a prominent landmark of high visibility and the local acropolis in the revived rebranded city. 8. Arhitektura kot/za kulturo: muzej industrijske dediščine Maribora in kulturno-kreativni center Tezno : magistrsko deloMaša Čelebić, 2021, magistrsko delo Opis: The concept of the Maribor Industrial Heritage Trail, as a form of revitalization of the Maribor industrial zones and the development of the city's cultural content, is being proposed in this master's thesis in the narrow belt of the Tezno industrial zone. The project is based on detailed analyzes of the wider and narrower location, on the basis of which a concept proposal is given for the urban development of the Tezno zone and Perhavčeva cesta, as part of the Maribor Industrial Heritage Trail. The conceptual design of the Cultural and Creative Center Tezno and the entrance building of the Museum of Industrial Heritage of Maribor, which is proposed in the underground tunnels on Tezno, enriches the cultural, memorial and ecological content of this part of the trail. Through a theoretical overview and conceptual solutions, the relationship between the meaning of architecture as culture and architecture for culture is shown on the example of a master's project. 10. The function of museum pedagogy in the development of artistic appreciationMatjaž Duh, 2015, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Contemporary museum pedagogy is located spatially in museums and galleries, which represent an authentic space for art. Artistic artefacts on display constitute an excellent basis for the development of art appreciation among children and young people. This means that the role of museum educators is not limited merely to classification, managing and presentation of art collections, but is also focused on in-depth educational work.
Museum pedagogy must follow the guidelines of contemporary art-pedagogical practice, based on the development of productive and receptive skills among pupils and students. The simultaneous development of both skills is a prerequisite for discussing the development of artistic abilities. In the perception and reception of works of art, participants reach their own individual artistic interpretations of the given works of art. The method of aesthetic transfer emerges as the most appropriate didactic approach.
