Static bending analysis of a transversely cracked strip tapered footing on a two-parameter soil using a new beam finite element

Opis: In this paper, a new beam Euler–Bernoulli finite element for the transverse static bending analysis of cracked slender strip tapered footings on an elastic two-parameter soil is presented. Standard Hermitian cubic interpolation functions are selected to derive the closed-form expressions of complete stiffness matrix and the load vector. The efficiency of the proposed finite element is verified on an example with several width tapering variations of a simple cracked footing with the results of governing differential equation. Another novelty of this study is improved bending moment functions with included discontinuity conditions at the crack location. These functions now accurately describe the bending moments in the vicinity of the crack of the finite element.

Model igre in taktika nogometnega kluba Ajax v ligi prvakov v sezoni 2018/2019 : diplomsko delo

Opis: Model igre in taktika v obrambi in napadu sta ena izmed ključnih faktorjev za doseganje vrhunskih moštvenih dosežkov v nogometu. Model in taktika morata biti razdelana in premišljena glede na tip nasprotnika proti kateremu ekipa igra. V primeru, da ima ekipa odlično razdelan model ter taktiko tako v napadu kot v obrambi, ne potrebuje največjih zvezdnikov nogometne igre za doseganje vrhunskih rezultatov. Dokaz temu je bila mlada ekipa Ajaxa, ki je v Ligi prvakov v sezoni 2018/2019 prišla v polfinale preko poraza močnega Real Madrida ter Juventusa in bila le par minut oddaljena od velikega finala lige prvakov. Namen diplomske naloge je predstaviti model nogometne igre in taktiko v nogometu, kar je opisano v začetku diplomske naloge, kjer je prav tako predstavljen razvoj lige prvakov ter zgodovina nogometnega kluba Ajax. Rezultate video analize in analize statističnih podatkov so prikazani ter opisani v drugem delu diplomske naloge. Cilj analiz je bil raziskati model igre in taktiko, ki je prinesla ekipi Ajaxa odličen rezultat v Ligi prvakov v sezoni 2018/2019. Pridobljeni podatki in rezultati so prikazani v tabelah ter med seboj grafično primerjani.

Novel in vitro model for toxicological analysis of drugs

Opis: Despite there being a substantial range of available drugs on the market, many patients still lack effective and safe medications for their specific conditions, showing a constant need to develop new ones. Toxicological models enable us to assess their safety to various degrees, but all such models have certain limitations. Considering the advantages and drawbacks of these models, we have developed a novel viability method, Membrane Potential Cell Viability Assay (MPCVA), and a novel cell-based in vitro liver model to overcome some of the limitations of these models. The MPCVA evaluates the changes in the membrane potential, so we tested the membrane potential and cell viability relation with a cell-by-cell analysis. The MPCVA was further tested in case of cell exposure to various toxic agents that induce different cell death pathways. Finally, we used MPCVA to determine the viability of our novel cell-based in vitro liver model, which we built by combining four different types of liver cells (hepatocytes, hepatic stellate cells, Kupffer cells, and liver sinusoidal endothelial cells). Along with the MPCVA, we used clinical instrumentation to test the toxicity of three hepatotoxic drugs (5-fluorouracil, ibuprofen, and rifampicin). We observed that, under the given conditions, the MPCVA had a similar toxicity assessment as standard viability methods. We also observed that the toxicity assessment of hepatotoxic drugs is similar to the in vivo toxicity evaluation (clinical data). Therefore, the suggested approach can potentially improve existing toxicological models. However, we understand its translation to clinical practice warrants further experimentation in exposures to other drugs/toxins and by also using other cell types.

Pedagoško - organizacijski model izobraževanja na daljavo v slovenskem srednješolskem izobraževanju : magistrsko delo

Opis: Naloga je nastala kot odziv na probleme izobraževanja dijakov športnikov na daljavo. Predstavljene so analize učnega uspeha in čas šolanja za tiste dijake športnike, ki se večinoma ali v celoti izobražujejo na daljavo, podani so predlogi za izboljšavo učnega procesa. Učitelji so pokazali naklonjenost novemu informacijskemu sistemu, ki bi sistematično vodil dijaka skozi učni proces. Tako je nastala aplikacija MAJ, ki omogoča natančno spremljanje dijakovega dela, princip semaforja deluje stimulativno in bo v pomoč dijakom in učiteljem.

Evaluating gastronomic destination competitiveness through upscale gastronomy

Opis: Food has evolved from a basic necessity to a primary motivation for travel. While providing a high-quality gastronomic offer is still a restaurant's primary function, quality is no longer enough; today's demanding guests seek unique and memorable dining experiences. A restaurant's competences play a significant role in shaping the guests' overall perception of the quality and derived perceived value, both of which ultimately impact the competitiveness of both the restaurant and the gastronomic destination. The main contribution of this article is the development of a novel theoretical model-GADECOMP-which is designed to measure a gastronomic destination's competitiveness by centering it around the destination's gastronomic offer. Exploratory factor analyses confirmed that the instrument is reliable and valid. The model was tested on upscale restaurant guests in Slovenia, Italy, and Croatia. Additionally, the SERVQUAL model of quality measurement was transferred from the entrepreneurial level to the destination level. Our method uses a unique competence approach and expands and diversifies the existing quality concepts by using elements of innovativeness, creativity, sustainability, and local features. The GADECOMP model measures the perceived quality of a gastronomic destination through its competences, which are reflected in the gastronomic destination offer. A regression analysis was used to identify the strength of the effect that perceived value has on the gastronomic destination offer and gastronomic destination competences.

Nonlinear semi-numeric and finite element analysis of three-point bending tests of notched polymer fiber-reinforced concrete prisms

Opis: A nonlinear semi-numeric and finite element analysis of three-point bending tests of notched polymer fiber-reinforced concrete prisms was performed. The computational and experimental results were compared in terms of the load-displacement behavior. The vertical midspan displacement and the crack mouth opening displacement results were considered. The nonlinear semi-numeric computational procedure involved the moment-curvature relation, calculated by considering the constitutive material law from the fib Model Code for Concrete Structures 2010, and considered a plastic hinge mechanism to simulate the cracked region behavior. Two sets of tensile mechanical properties were considered for the constitutive material law: back-calculated (by an inverse analysis) tensile strength properties from the experimental results, and tensile strength properties calculated by simplified expressions from the fib Model Code for Concrete Structures 2010. Other mechanical properties were determined by additional compressive tests and standard relations for the dependency of various mechanical properties on the concrete compressive strength. The nonlinear finite element analysis incorporated the Menetrey-Willam material model to simulate the fiber-reinforced concrete behavior. The nonlinear semi-numeric analysis load-displacement results based on the back-calculated tensile strength properties relatively accurately matched with the experimental results, whereas the nonlinear semi-numeric analysis load-displacement results based on tensile strength properties calculated by simplified expressions from the fib Model Code for Concrete Structures 2010 and the nonlinear finite element analysis load-displacement results showed certain shortcomings.

Energetska učinkovitost avtomatiziranih regalnih skladiščnih sistemov pri uporabi tehnologije regeneracije energije : primer avtomatskega skladiščenja v jeklarski industriji

Opis: Z namenom doseganja visoke zalogovne velikosti in zahtevane pretočne zmogljivosti se tudi v jeklarski industriji vse pogosteje uporabljajo avtomatizirani regalni skladiščni sistemi za uskladiščenje težkih polizdelkov oz. jeklenih palic in profilov, nameščenih v namenskih kasetah. Izrazito visoka teža jeklenih palic in profilov ter zahtevane pretočne zmogljivosti z dodatnimi zahtevami tehnično robustnega in visoko učinkovitega skladišča, prinaša s sabo tudi visoko potrošnjo električne energije za delovanja skladišča. V članku je na primeru avtomatiziranega regalnega skladišča za jeklene palice in profile predstavljena možnost zmanjšanja porabe električne energije z uporabo koncepta regeneracije pri zaviranju regalnega dvigala in spuščanju dvižne mize regalnega dvigala.

Odločitveni model izbire in strategije implementacije sistema ERP : diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študijskega programa

Opis: V diplomskem delu obravnavamo relevantno teorijo o ERP-sistemih, njihovo definicijo, razvoj ob koncu 20. stoletja in v sodobno dobo ter ključne metode implementacije, ki temeljijo na lokalnem gostovanju ali gostovanju v oblaku, pojasnjujemo strukturo trga ERP glede na predlagane segmente potrošniških podjetij, ki jih določata velikost, kompleksnost podjetja ter njegovih poslovnih procesov. Prav tako preučujemo, kako lahko podjetje uporabi več parametrski odločitveni model za izbiro optimalnega ERP-sistema, njegove vrste gostovanja in posledično strategije implementacije. Izdelan več parametrski odločitveni model, ki je narejen v programu za večparametrsko odločanje, Logical Decisions, upošteva tehnične, stroškovne in ponudnikove kategorije dejavnikov, porazdelitev vrednosti teh kategorij dejavnikov pa je določena z letnim prihodkom proučevanega podjetja. Vrednost pod kriterijev vsake kategorije je prilagojena potrebam izbranega podjetja, kar omogoča, da model doseže optimalen rezultat. Izbrani ERP-sistemi za odločitveni model so Odoo Enterprise, Odoo Community, Microsoft Dynamics 365 in SAP S/4HANA. Podjetja za testiranje modela so izmišljena in niso povezana z nobenim obstoječim podjetjem, vsako podjetje pa spada v drug tržni segment za uvedbo ERP-sistemov. Z uporabo večparametrskega modela smo dosegli relativno optimalno izbiro najbolj optimalnih ERP-sistemov in strategij implementacij za vsako podjetje, vendar je treba pri končni izbiri ERP-sistema ne glede na optimalno izbiro odločitvenega modela upoštevati stroškovne faktorje in tehnične funkcije ERP-sistema.

Prenova poslovanja in razvoj novega poslovnega modela na osnovi okoljskih izboljšav v okrbovalni verigi : magistrsko delo

Opis: V 21. stoletju je potrebno spremembam slediti hitreje kot nekoč. Način življenja ter podnebne spremembe so nas prisilile, da sprejemamo nove okoljske dejavnike, ki so na vsakodnevni ravni okolju prijaznejši. V veliki meri so se morala oz. se bodo morala novemu trajnostnemu razvoju prilagoditi vsa podjetja, tako makro kot mikro. Razlogov je več. Najpomembnejša je seveda skrb za okolje, drugi pa tudi dodana vrednost poslovanja ter nove konkurenčne prednosti in nove poslovne priložnosti. Vodilo vsakega podjetja bi moralo biti, kaj lahko storimo oz. kakšen vložek je potreben za boljši in učinkovitejši trajnostni razvoj v podjetju v celotni oskrbni verigi ter si zadati trajnostne cilje v družbenem in okoljskem vidiku. V našem magistrskem delu se bomo zato osredotočili na mikropodjetje Papirnica Ma-ar, kjer bomo poizkušali s poslovnim modelom Canvas, spletno anketo ter sistemom ozelenitve celotno poslovanje preusmeriti na trajnejše in s tem podjetju zagotoviti večjo konkurenčnost ter večjo dodano vrednost na njenem področju poslovanja.

Calculation model of the costs of transition to renewable energy sources on the example of the Spanish energy system

Opis: This master’s thesis focuses on the efficient integration of renewable energy sources into power systems through the application of an optimized economic dispatch model. The goal is to balance the beneficial aspects of renewable energy with the total costs of power system performance, using advanced management and planning tools. The study incorporates a detailed economic dispatch model and an investment model, considering both the operational and investment costs. The primary objectives include developing a cost-effective strategy to meet the power demand and determining optimal generator capacities. The project aligns with Sustainable Development Goals 7 and 13, advocating for affordable, clean energy and climate action, respectively. The methodology involves a comprehensive review of the relevant literature, model development, real-world data collection, testing, and analysis of outcomes. The potential results can inform future energy planning and policy, supporting a transition to a more sustainable, low-carbon energy future.
