2. Usmerjanje trajnostnega razvoja podjetja2025 Opis: Publikacija Usmerjanje trajnostnega razvoja podjetja obravnava pomen trajnostnega razvoja kot ključnega elementa sodobnega poslovanja. Predstavlja 17 ciljev trajnostnega razvoja (SDGs) in poudarja njihovo implementacijo v poslovne modele podjetij za krepitev konkurenčnosti, odpornosti in dolgoročne uspešnosti. Raziskuje inovativne poslovne modele, vpliv trajnostne zakonodaje ter vključevanje družbene odgovornosti in raznolikosti v strategije podjetij. Poseben poudarek namenja trajnostni (pre)usmeritvi družinskih podjetij in vlogi neprofitnih organizacij. Publikacija ponuja teoretične temelje, analize najboljših praks in konkretne primere trajnostnega upravljanja ter inovacij. Cilj je ozaveščanje o pomenu trajnostnega razvoja, spodbujanje novih pristopov v poslovanju ter krepitev sodelovanja med podjetji, akademsko skupnostjo in družbo. 3. Analysis and synthesis of theoretical and practical implications of case management model and notationMateja Bule, Gregor Polančič, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Case Management Model and Notation (CMMN) is a graphical notation used to model less predictable, highly flexible processes that may behave differently in each instance. It uses an event-centred approach and expands on what can be modelled with procedural modelling notations. Nearly a decade since the occurrence of CMMN, its practical use is questionable. We performed this research to identify possible reasons for this and to classify the potential advantages and disadvantages of CMMN. With the aforementioned objectives, we conducted a systematic literature review, which provided a broad insight into the state of the investigated object along with techniques for analysing qualitative data, coding, and successive approximation. From an initial set of 942 articles, 43 remain relevant. The results of the analysis and synthesis of the obtained data from relevant articles were generalised codes, which were used to explicitly answer the research questions. The results indicate that CMMN has good foundations in the declarative modelling approach and within the Case Management paradigm. Nevertheless, some issues were identified with the notation and elements of CMMN and with its complement—Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). 4. Kompetence trenerjev alpskega smučanjaTimi Gašperin, 2025, magistrsko delo Opis: Namen magistrskega dela je bil razviti kompetenčni model za trenerje alpskega smučanja, ki bi pomagal pri opredelitvi ključnih kompetenc, potrebnih za uspešno izvajanje trenerskih nalog v različnih situacijah, vključno s kriznimi. Raziskava je bila izvedena z uporabo dveh glavnih metod. Prvi del raziskave je vključeval teoretično analizo obstoječih virov, pri kateri smo uporabili komparativno in deskriptivno metodo. V empiričnem delu smo izvedli intervjuje z izbranimi trenerji alpskega smučanja, ki delujejo na najvišji ravni, pri čemer smo uporabili kvantitativno metodo za analizo podatkov in oblikovanje kompetenčnega modela. Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da so za uspeh trenerjev ključne tako tehnične kot mehke kompetence, med katerimi izstopajo sposobnosti učinkovitega vodenja, motivacije, prilagajanja treningov individualnim potrebam športnikov ter obvladovanja kriznih situacij. Na osnovi ugotovitev smo razvili kompetenčni model, ki vključuje vse ključne kompetence za trenerje alpskega smučanja. Priporočamo, da se ta model vključi v programe usposabljanja in profesionalnega razvoja trenerjev, saj lahko znatno prispeva k izboljšanju njihove učinkovitosti ter sposobnosti obvladovanja izzivov, s katerimi se soočajo na terenu. Prav tako predlagamo, da se v prihodnosti izvedejo nadaljnje raziskave, ki bi podrobneje preučile vpliv stresnih delovnih pogojev na razvoj specifičnih kriznih kompetenc pri trenerjih alpskega smučanja. 5. Optimizacija kadrovskih procesov: vloga umetne inteligence pri razvoju kadrovske funkcije v sodobnem poslovnem okoljuTjaša Meglič, 2025, magistrsko delo Opis: Magistrsko delo obravnava uporabo umetne inteligence (UI) kot orodja za izboljšanje učinkovitosti kadrovskih procesov v organizacijah. Namen naloge je raziskati, kako UI prispeva k optimizaciji različnih kadrovskih procesov, ter oceniti njeno uporabnost in potencial za izboljšanje le-teh. Magistrsko delo je sestavljena iz dveh delov: iz teoretičnega in iz empiričnega dela. Temelj empiričnega dela predstavlja kvalitativni pristop k raziskovanju – multipla študija primera in strukturirani intervjuji, kar omogoča analizo trenutnega stanja uporabe UI v slovenskih podjetjih ter identifikacijo ključnih izzivov in priložnosti pri uvajanju tehnologij UI. Rezultati raziskave kažejo, da UI pomembno vpliva na optimizacijo kadrovskih procesov, in sicer s povečanjem učinkovitosti in zmanjšanjem administrativnih obremenitev kadrovikov. Prednosti predstavljajo avtomatizacijo ponavljajočih se nalog, izboljšano analitiko in podporo pri odločanju, slabosti pa tveganja glede pristranskosti algoritmov, etična vprašanja in varstvo osebnih podatkov. UI predstavlja izreden potencial za optimizacijo kadrovskih procesov, pri čemer je uravnotežen pristop pogoj za uspešno integracijo, ki zajema tehnološke in človeške dejavnike, premišljeno uvajanje, upoštevanje zakonodajnih in etičnih smernic. Magistrsko delo ponuja celovit pregled trenutnega stanja na področju uporabe UI v kadrovskih procesih in analizo SWOT, ki izpostavlja ključne prednosti, slabosti, priložnosti in grožnje UI v kadrovskih procesih. Rezultati potrjujejo, da je UI ključni dejavnik prihodnjega razvoja kadrovskih funkcij, ki ponuja trdne temelje za nadaljnje raziskave in implementacijo UI v praksi. 6. Data management and academic integrityMilan Ojsteršek, 2024, drugo učno gradivo Opis: Sensitive data requires careful consideration and adherence to best practices to ensure its confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Essential steps in handling sensitive data are identification and classification of sensitive data, implementation of data access control, encryption of sensitive data, secure storage and transmission, implementation of data breach response plan, backup and monitoring usage of data, complying with regulation, and disposing of data securely. Misconduct in handling sensitive data can compromise data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. These include data breaches (unauthorised access or disclosure, theft, insider threats, falsification, fabrication, imputation, and amputation of data), failure to comply with data protection regulations, inadequate data security practices, improper retention and disposal of data, and failure to report data breaches and incidents. In this presentation Milan Ojsteršek presents how to manage sensitive data, desensitise it, and which are the most common breaches in handling sensitive data incidents. This presentation was given at the 4th ENAI Academic Integrity Summer School 2024, 16th – 21th September 2024, University of Konstanz, Germany.

7. Organization of efficient energy security managementBojana Vasić, 2024, doktorska disertacija Opis: The main problem this research addresses is the EU energy policy, which focuses on a critical analysis of strategic energy management in all process phases. Particular emphasis is placed on strategic control, which is a key phase of the management process. Strategic control includes evaluating the effectiveness of implementing planned measures and making decisions about necessary adjustments or changes. The purpose of the study is to assess how well EU energy management strategies are aligned with policy objectives, in particular, to ensure energy security, sustainability and economic competitiveness, and at the same time to identify areas where improvements are needed to address current challenges.
Energy management in the European Union is a crucial aspect of its energy policy, which focuses on ensuring energy security, sustainability and efficiency. Since the middle of the 20th century, organisations' increasing energy intensity has emphasized the need for a comprehensive and flexible approach. Energy management involves controlling the entire life cycle of energy - from extraction, conversion and distribution to consumption and waste disposal - in a complex environment shaped by various external factors. These challenges become even more pronounced in regions that experience frequent environmental, economic or geopolitical changes.
Designing a universal model for global energy management is difficult because of the different conditions, regulations, and energy needs worldwide. Adaptable and adaptive strategies are essential to respond to supply and demand fluctuations, integrate renewable energy sources, manage geopolitical risks and achieve sustainability goals. Therefore, energy management must evolve to respond to a dynamic global environment.
The EU prioritizes energy security but lacks a unified approach, which creates challenges in defining and measuring energy security. The absence of standardized criteria makes it difficult to strategically evaluate policies and make decisions, which could have long-term consequences for both energy and national security. Initially, energy security was focused on stable supply for economic growth, but global changes – such as rising demand, geopolitical tensions and environmental concerns – have made it more complex.
The recent years have underscored significant vulnerabilities in global energy security and the sustainability of energy systems, particularly in Europe. The dual crises of the COVID-19 pandemic and the conflict in Ukraine have highlighted the urgency of addressing these challenges, pushing the European Union to accelerate its efforts toward more sustainable and secure energy practices. In response, the EU has diversified energy sources and strengthened energy security to reduce its dependence on politically unstable suppliers.
Given the complexity of the geopolitical situation, disrupted supply chains and the EU's clear official commitment to decarbonisation by 2050, the above should be viewed from different angles. EU energy policy (short-term and long-term) is conditioned by the action of many factors, which differ in type, intensity of action and effect (positive or negative) - but the need to analyse existing and define new methodologies for evaluating the effectiveness of EU energy policy is evident. The doctoral dissertation examines the above and suggests improvements. Lastniki kot ambasadorji trajnostnosti: iskanje sinergije med formalnim visokošolskim izobraževanjem z mikrodokazili in gospodarstvom za povečanje trajnostnostiNomi Hrast, 2025, magistrsko delo Opis: Trajnostno upravljanje in vodenje organizacij postaja vedno bolj pomembno za dolgoročno uspešnost organizacij, pri tem pa imajo pomembno vlogo lastniki kot upravljalci in oblikovalci politike podjetja. Magistrsko delo obravnava vlogo lastnikov organizacij kot ambasadorjev trajnostnosti in preučuje sinergije med formalnim visokošolskim izobraževanjem, mikrodokazili, razvojem gospodarstva in podjetji za povečanje trajnostnosti. Predstavljeni so ključni koncepti trajnostnosti, integralnega managementa in vpliva lastnikov kot upravljalcev na organizacijo in njene trajnostne usmeritve. Predstavljeni so zakonodajni okviri, standardi, protokoli in druge komponente poročanja organizaciji o trajnostnosti ter povezava tega s pomenom izobraževanja o trajnostnosti za organizacije. V empiričnem delu sta izvedeni dve študiji primera, prva se nanaša na analizo izbranih izobraževanj o trajnostnosti v poslovanju v Sloveniji, druga pa na preučitev izbranih tujih visokošolskih študijskih programov s področja trajnostnosti. Na podlagi ugotovitev je oblikovan predlog modela kurikuluma za trajnostno izobraževanje lastnikov organizacij z uporabo mikrodokazil v visokem šolstvu. Raziskava je pokazala, da je izobraževanje na področju trajnostnosti v poslovanju pomembno, vendar v Sloveniji še ni sistematično urejeno. Zato se mikrodokazila izkazujejo kot potencialno učinkovito orodje za povezovanje akademskega sveta in gospodarstva, kar bi lahko omogočalo boljši prenos znanja ter večjo izobraženost o trajnostnosti v poslovanju. 9. Perceptions of patient safety culture among triage nurses in the emergency department : a cross-sectional studyZvonka Fekonja, Sergej Kmetec, Nataša Mlinar Reljić, Jožica Černe Kolarič, Majda Pajnkihar, Matej Strnad, 2023, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The patient safety culture is key to ensuring patient safety in healthcare organizations. The triage environment is inherently demanding for patient safety and is characterized by high stress, rapid decision-making, and quick action. In several countries, including Slovenia, there is a lack of studies on the patient safety culture among triage nurses. This study aimed to assess the perceptions of the patient safety culture among triage nurses. A cross-sectional survey design was used. The Emergency Medical Services-Safety Attitudes Questionnaire, distributed to triage nurses, was used to collect data. A total of 201 triage nurses participated in this study. The results revealed that the overall average perception of the patient safety culture was 57.27% (SD = 57.27), indicating that the perception of the patient safety culture among triage nurses in the emergency department was non-positive and requires improvement. “Job Satisfaction” received the highest score (63.18%; SD = 17.19), while “Working Conditions” received the lowest (49.91%; SD = 17.37). The perception of positive and negative safety culture responses was statistically significant for age (χ2 (3) = 17.750, p ≤ 0.001), education (χ2 (2) = 6.957, p = 0.031) and length of working experience (χ2 (3) = 8.875, p = 0.031). The findings emphasize the significance of improving the safety culture in relation to several areas of patient care during the triage process. This research serves as a crucial foundation for enhancing patient safety in triage, providing quality care, and reducing adverse events. 10. Statistically significant differences in AI support levels for project management between SMEs and large enterprisesPolona Tominc, Dijana Oreški, Vesna Čančer, Maja Rožman, 2024, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Background: This article delves into an in-depth analysis of the statistically significant differences in AI support levels for project management between SMEs and large enterprises. The research was conducted based on a comprehensive survey encompassing a sample of 473 SMEs and large Slovenian enterprises.
Methods: To validate the observed differences, statistical analysis, specifically the Mann–Whitney U test, was employed.
Results: The results confirm the presence of statistically significant differences between SMEs and large enterprises across multiple dimensions of AI support in project management. Large enterprises exhibit on average a higher level of AI adoption across all five AI utilization dimensions. Specifically, large enterprises scored significantly higher (p < 0.05) in AI adopting strategies and in adopting AI technologies for project tasks and team creation. This study’s findings also underscored the significant differences (p < 0.05) between SMEs and large enterprises in their adoption and utilization of AI technologies for project management purposes. While large enterprises scored above 4 for several dimensions, with the highest average score assessed (mean value 4.46 on 1 to 5 scale) for the usage of predictive Analytics Tools to improve the work on the project, SMEs’ average levels, on the other hand, were all below 4. SMEs in particular may lag in incorporating AI into various project activities due to several factors such as resource constraints, limited access to AI expertise, or risk aversion.
Conclusions: The results underscore the need for targeted strategies to enhance AI adoption in SMEs and leverage its benefits for successful project implementation and strengthen the company’s competitiveness.
