Opis: The International Fluid Power Conference is a two-day event, intended for all those professionally involved with hydraulic or pneumatic power devices and for all those, wishing to be informed about the ‘state of the art’, new discoveries and innovations within the field of hydraulics and pneumatics. The gathering of experts at this conference in Maribor has been a tradition since 1995, and is organised by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maribor, in Slovenia. Fluid Power conferences are organised every second year and cover those principal technical events within the field of fluid power technologies in Slovenia, and throughout this region of Europe. This year's conference is taking place on the 16th and 17th September in Maribor. The main focus of this year's contributions is on the integration of information systems in the field of fluid technology.

Opis: Teaching is a challenging but also a rewarding profession. It is underpinned by one key question: how do we build a good teaching and learning environment so that our students can acquire professional competences which will enable them to be successful in today’s global business environment. These proceedings include the papers presented at the 1st International Scientific Conference »Teaching Methods for Economics and Business Sciences« held on 8 May 2017 at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Economics and Business. The papers address students’ learning outcomes, the development and measurement of students’ professional and transversal competences and skills, creative teaching and learning techniques such as brainstorming and creative problem solving, active learning and collaborative learning, students’ self-assessment of their learning, experiential learning and lifelong learning, practical teaching methods such as business simulations, action-based learning and knowledge integration, innovations and sustainability of different teaching methods, non-formal learning and teaching activities for vocational competences development, ethical aspects of creating a good student environment, capacity building, students’ learning styles, teaching styles, students’ creativeness, and, last but not least, students’ academic success and their personal well being. These papers provide valuable insights into academic teaching practice and contribute to the answer to the above question.

Opis: The 10th International Conference on Sustainable Energy and environmental Protection – SEEP 2017 was organised on June 27th – 30th 2017 in Bled, Slovenia, by: • Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, University of Maribor, Slovenia, • University of the West of Scotland, School of Engineering and The aim of SEEP2017 is to bring together the researches within the field of sustainable energy and environmental protection from all over the world. The contributed papers are grouped in 18 sessions in order to provide access to readers out of 300 contributions prepared by authors from 52 countries. We thank the distinguished plenary and keynote speakers and chairs who have kindly consented to participate at this conference. We are also grateful to all the authors for their papers and to all committee members. We believe that scientific results and professional debates shall not only be an incentive for development, but also for making new friendships and possible future scientific development projects.
