1. 35th Bled eConference Digital Restructuring and Human (Re)action : June 26 – 29, 2022, Bled, Slovenia, Conference Proceedings2022, zbornik Opis: The Bled eConference, organised by the University of Maribor, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, has been shaping electronic interaction since 1988. After 2 years COVID-19 pandemic, when the conference was held online, this year we met again in Bled, Slovenia. The theme of the 35th conference is "Digital Restructuring and Human (re)Action". During the pandemic, we experienced the important role of digital technologies in enabling people and enterprises to interact, collaborate, and find new opportunities and ways to overcome various challenges. The use of digital technologies in these times has accelerated the digital transformation of enterprises and societies. It will be important to leverage this momentum for further implementation and exploitation of digital technologies that will bring positive impacts and solutions for people, enterprises and societies. The need to achieve sustainability goals and sustainable development of society has increased. Digital technologies will continue to play an important role in achieving these goals. The papers in this conference proceedings address digital transformation of enterprises, digital wellness and health solutions, digital ethics challenges, artificial intelligence and data science solutions, new and digital business models, digital consumer behaviour and solutions, including the impact of social media, restructuring of work due to digital technologies, digital education challenges and examples, and solutions for smart sustainable cities. 3. 32nd Bled eConference Humanizing Technology for a Sustainable Society : June 16 – 19, 2019, Bled, Slovenia, Conference Proceedings2019, zbornik recenziranih znanstvenih prispevkov na mednarodni ali tuji konferenci Opis: Bled eConference, organized by University of Maribor, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, has been shaping electronic interactions since 1988. Bled eConference is the oldest, most traditional and well renowned conference in the field with more than 30 years of tradition. The theme of this year’s 32nd conference is dedicated to “Humanizing Technology for a Sustainable Society”. In 2018, European Commission emphasized that in the future, competitiveness will be dependent on the ability to move towards sustainability, resource-efficiency and the ability to exploit the advantages of digital technologies. In the context of digital society, implementation of digital technologies to achieve higher efficiency and competitive advantage is insufficient. Society calls for different economy models; more responsible, righteous and less exploitative. In this year’s conference, we address various aspects of these challenges and provide directions and guidelines for organizations to meet and overcome these challenges on their way towards successful digital transformation. Themes covered in the papers of these proceedings are focused on: digital transformation; business model innovation; blockchain and social media; big data, data science, and decision support systems; e-health, digital wellness and wellbeing; new applications and organizational models; and novel approaches and cases in education in digital economy. Ključne besede: digital transformation, digital technology, innovation, digitalization, sustainability Objavljeno v DKUM: 13.12.2019; Ogledov: 765; Prenosov: 81

4. Maritime issues in digital ageSanja Bauk, 2018, znanstvena monografija Opis: This book is a collection of research studies in the cross-section of maritime studies, information and communication technologies, and operations research. It contains a “layer” of topics that are more technical, and a “layer” of topics that are more managerial and business oriented. The fields of research are related to the author’s quite diverse interests in certain periods of time, and her success in applying for some research grants.
The manuscript can serve as valuable material for educational and research purposes. This is especially important if we keep in mind that digitalization in maritime sector lags behind other business and industry sectors. Ključne besede: process digitalization, maritime transport, operational research, ports, information communication technology Objavljeno v DKUM: 09.05.2018; Ogledov: 967; Prenosov: 123

5. Rapid prototyping processes give new possibilities to numerical copying techniquesIvo Pahole, Igor Drstvenšek, Mirko Ficko, Jože Balič, 2005, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Due to the appearance of numerically controlled machine tools the conventional copying from physical model has almost lost its importance. Instead, the model of numerical copying is widely used. Until recently, geometry could be copied predominantly in the touching manner and the manufacture of copied - measured shapes on CNC machine tools mainly did not pose o problem. However, because of the introduction of optical copying of geometrical data it is possible to copy the shapes which, sometimes, cannot be made by conventional machining processes (small radii of curvature, negative angles, etc.). The paper describes how these problems can be solved with layered technology processes within a very short time. Ključne besede: manufacturing technologies, prototype generation, rapid prototyping, numerical copying, CAD/CAm, digitalization Objavljeno v DKUM: 01.06.2012; Ogledov: 1409; Prenosov: 87

6. Holistic strategy of public action and visual digitalization in convergent environmentMario Plenković, Tina Tomažič, Vlasta Kučiš, 2010, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Basic operative terms of visual phenomenology are analyzed to develop a holistic strategy for public action within the new culture of communicating inthe global context. New arenas of visual communication are observed as a sociocultural process of adjusting visual technology. Creating a new strategy for public action will enhance daily life and understanding between all citizens, about questions concerning human development and society in general.A theoretical discussion is conducted through diachronic and synchronic analysis of visual communication content. The main goal is to establish a new communicative paradigm for a holistic strategy of public action. Observing visual digitalization, the authors develop a holistic strategy for public action, not only in the technical sense of the transmission and adjustment of analog signal into digital signal. The future of visual communication is a powerful source for creating images, the transmission of pictures via images, and the description or manipulation of reputation, dominance, subjection, and media exhaustion within the convergent environment. The authors identify technical and sociocultural questions regarding visual communication from the perspective of the usage of new information and communication technologies (ICT). The holistic public action strategy seeks to preserve cultural identity within the context of global communication. Ključne besede: holistic strategy, visual communication, digitalization, public action, media Objavljeno v DKUM: 31.05.2012; Ogledov: 1828; Prenosov: 21
