Opis: Building on research focusing on the impact of digital technologies on the labour market, this paper provides an interpretation of major findings by reference to labour law in Slovenia. It is argued that the existing labour law in Slovenia does a reasonable job in dealing with the changes we are witnessing in digital economy. However, the problem is in the implementation of workers rights in practice. The workers are not taking action to enforce their legal rights as much as one could expect. In addition to this, employers do not put enough attention to the challenges that digitalisation brings in the field of health at work and in the field of workers% skills. Therefore, the Slovene government should embark upon a system of reforms to improve the promptness of courts in labour disputes. It should also appoint more labour inspectors. At the same time, employers should adopt practical solutions regarding the organisation of working process with aim to diminish the negative impacts of digitalisation on health at work. Furthermore, the employers should put more attention to the development of workers skills, especially those which, according to theory, will be crucial in the future.

2019, zbornik recenziranih znanstvenih prispevkov na mednarodni ali tuji konferenci
Opis: Bled eConference, organized by University of Maribor, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, has been shaping electronic interactions since 1988. Bled eConference is the oldest, most traditional and well renowned conference in the field with more than 30 years of tradition. The theme of this year’s 32nd conference is dedicated to “Humanizing Technology for a Sustainable Society”. In 2018, European Commission emphasized that in the future, competitiveness will be dependent on the ability to move towards sustainability, resource-efficiency and the ability to exploit the advantages of digital technologies. In the context of digital society, implementation of digital technologies to achieve higher efficiency and competitive advantage is insufficient. Society calls for different economy models; more responsible, righteous and less exploitative. In this year’s conference, we address various aspects of these challenges and provide directions and guidelines for organizations to meet and overcome these challenges on their way towards successful digital transformation. Themes covered in the papers of these proceedings are focused on: digital transformation; business model innovation; blockchain and social media; big data, data science, and decision support systems; e-health, digital wellness and wellbeing; new applications and organizational models; and novel approaches and cases in education in digital economy.

Opis: Nowadays, the utilization of information and communication technologies in all types of schools has become obvious. Information and communication technologies bring a significant number of positive effects which appropriately complete and support education. The generally declared necessity for integration of new media and new educational technologies into the educational process is a prerequisite for further development of pedagogical sciences and practice. Since, in this context, it is essential to promote new didactic techniques and methods derived from them, it is equally important to follow the development of target groups opinions and attitudes. As the authors of the presented study are not aware of an overall study dealing with this issue, we have decided, based on research execution, to find out primary school students and teachers opinions about the introduction of modern didactic tools such as interactive boards into teaching practice. Factors that impact internet use and are sensitive to income : cross-country empirical evidenceDijana Močnik
, 2010, izvirni znanstveni članek
Opis: This paper examines information and communication technology (ICT) and socioeconomic indicators associated with Internet use based on income level across countries. Although some literature deals with cross-country indicatorsof Internet use, no known study quantitatively examines which indicators are superior or how they differ across countries with different income level. We extract factors with the most important indicators and evaluate their impact on Internet use for four income groups: low, lower middle, upper middle, and high. The results show that Internet use can be stimulated by educated people, available computers, telecommunications connections and increasing income per capita. However, prices of telecommunications services, international trade, investment, population density, unemployment rate or GDP growth rate do not affect Internet use.
