1. Challenges of international adoption in Bosnia and HerzegovinaAnita Duraković, Ramajana Demirović, Jasmina Alihodžić, 2023, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Adoption is a special form of family-legal protection of children without parental responsibility, which establishes the parental relationship. We distinguish adoption that takes place within the borders of one country, i.e. internal adoption, and cross-border adoption, i.e. international adoption. The international element can appear in subjects of adoption, i.e. with regard to their citizenship, domicile or habitual residence, and the place of adoption. The focus of the work is the legislative framework in Bosnia and Herzegovina for cases of international adoption, especially the situation of establishing the international adoption of a domestic citizen in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the situation of establishing the international adoption of a foreign citizen abroad in the service of child healthcare and child welfare. Considering the numerous challenges that exist in this matter, the existence of a complete and high-quality normative framework is a condicio sine quo non for successful and legally valid international adoption. In this context, and aware of the importance of the Hague Convention on Adoption from 1993 and the need to harmonize the legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the acquis of the European Union and the comparative trends in comparative law, proposals for lege ferenda were made. 2. The Effect of Work-Family Conflict on the Impact of Role Overload on Turnover Intention and Job SatisfactionAbdullah Zübeyr Akman, Oğuzhan Kodalak, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Purpose: This study aims to investigate how role overload and work-family conflict influence turnover intention and job satisfaction among public employees, providing insights for management practices to enhance employee well-being and organizational effectiveness. Design/Methods: Quantitative data were collected from 390 public employees in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed to analyze the relationships between role overload, work-family conflict, job satisfaction, and turnover intention. Results: The study reveals that role overload positively influences work-family conflict, which in turn negatively impacts job satisfaction and increases turnover intention among public sector employees. Furthermore, job satisfaction is found to negatively affect turnover intention. Conclusion: The findings highlight the importance of addressing role overload and work-family conflict to mitigate turnover intention and enhance job satisfaction among public employees. From a practical perspective, this study suggests that organizations should prioritize initiatives aimed at reducing role overload and managing work-family conflict to foster a positive work environment and retain talented employees. Socially, the study underscores the significance of supporting employees in balancing work and family responsibilities to promote their overall well-being and contribute to societal welfare. 3. RNGSGLR: generalization of the context-aware scanning architecture for all character-level context-free languagesŽiga Leber, Matej Črepinšek, Marjan Mernik, Tomaž Kosar, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The limitations of traditional parsing architecture are well known. Even when paired with
parsing methods that accept all context-free grammars (CFGs), the resulting combination for any
given CFG accepts only a limited subset of corresponding character-level context-free languages
(CFL). We present a novel scanner-based architecture that for any given CFG accepts all corresponding
character-level CFLs. It can directly parse all possible specifications consisting of a grammar and
regular definitions. The architecture is based on right-nulled generalized LR (RNGLR) parsing and
is a generalization of the context-aware scanning architecture. Our architecture does not require
any disambiguation rules to resolve lexical conflicts, it conceptually has an unbounded parser and
scanner lookahead and it is streaming. The added robustness and flexibility allow for easier grammar
development and modification. Ključne besede: context-aware scanning, pseudo-scannerless parsing, scanner conflict resolution, generalized LR (GLR), right-nulled GLR (RNGLR), scannerless GLR (SGLR) Objavljeno v DKUM: 28.03.2025; Ogledov: 0; Prenosov: 11

4. Is the Hitchcock story really true? Public opinion on Hooded crows in cities as input to managementLászló Kövér, Petra Paládi, Isma Benmazouz, Andrej Šorgo, Natalija Špur, Lajos Juhász, Peter Czine, Péter Balogh, Szabolcs Lengyel, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: In recent years, the Hooded crow (Corvus cornix) has become one of the most successful wild bird species in urban environments across Europe. Hooded crows can cause several problems in cities, including trash scattering, noise disturbance, and aggressive behavior toward humans or pets, and they can be potential vectors of pathogens. To find effective solutions, the public has to be involved in the decision-making process in urban planning management, managed by the city administration. In this study, we surveyed the attitude of people in Hungary towards crows and crow management by collecting information using an online questionnaire containing 65 questions published in 14 Facebook groups. We found that many people were familiar with corvid species and had personal experience with them. In most cases, these experiences were not negative, so the crows were not or only rarely perceived to cause problems to people, such as aggressive behavior, damage to cars or stealing something. Most respondents recognized that the presence of large numbers of hooded crows is a problem to be solved and acknowledged that they do not know how to resolve it. The majority of people expressed their interest in raising public awareness of crows but not in their management actions, which they believe should be implemented by experts. Most respondents preferred passive, harmless methods. More direct methods such as egg/chick removal from the nest, control by trapping, poisoned baits or firearms, or oral contraceptives were the least acceptable. These results express the difficulty in identifying a control method for managing hooded crow populations that is both acceptable to most people and effective at the same time. This study demonstrates the importance of involving public opinion in wildlife management and providing more information to citizens to reduce human-crow conflicts. 5. The relation between project team conflict and user resistance in software projectsSimon Vrhovec, Blaž Markelj, 2021, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: This study aims to explore the relation between conflict in the project team and user resistance to change in software projects. Following a cross-sectional research design, a survey was conducted among 1,000 largest companies in Slovenia (N = 114). The results of PLSSEM analysis indicate that task and process conflicts in the project team are associated with user resistance. This study is among the first to associate conflict within the project team and user resistance in the implementing organization. It is also one of the first studies to investigate the relations between different types of conflict and user resistance. Project managers may invest resources into adequately managing conflicts within the project team related to tasks in which the project team interacts with users of developed software to lower user resistance. Project with poorly defined roles (e.g., agile and information security projects) may be more prone to user resistance than projects with clearly defined roles. 6. The moderating impact of types of caregiving on job demands, resources, and their relation to work-to-family conflict and enrichmentSara Tement, Christian Korunka, 2015, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: This research aims to examine for whom combining work and family/caregiving may be most harmful. Employed parents, elder caregivers, and the sandwiched generation were compared with their coworkers without such responsibilities. Based on the job demandsresources model, we assumed that high job demands/low job resources would relate to work-to-family conflict (WFC) and low job demands/high job resources to work-to-family enrichment. However, this effect would depend on employees family/caregiving responsibilities. Using a large sample of Slovenian employees (N = 1,285), we found support for the moderating role of the type of caregiving responsibility between workload and WFC. In addition, the type of caregiving had a moderating effect on the relationship between coworker support and WFC. Support was also found for the differential impact of job resources on work-to-family enrichment. The results therefore indicate the relevance of types of caregiving responsibility in workfamily research and practice. 7. Honey, there´s something on my mind --- : adverse consequences of negative and positive work rumination on attention to the partner, and the advantage of talking about itJulia Schoellbauer, Sara Tement, Christian Korunka, 2023, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: In the contemporary 24/7 working society, the separation of work and private life is increasingly turning into an unrealizable ideal. Ruminating about work outside the work context lets work spill over into private lives and afects the dynamics of workers’ private relationships. Although negative work rumination was linked to couples’ reduced relationship satisfaction, little is known about the mechanism of action and the impact of positive work rumination. Drawing on the load theory of selective attention, we hypothesize that both negative and positive work rumination occupy attentional resources and thus reduce workers’ attention to the partner on the same day. Lower levels of attention to the partner, in turn, should relate to lower levels of both partners’relationship satisfaction. However, sharing the work-related thoughts with the partner might support the resolution of the work issue the worker is ruminating about, which releases attentional resources and thus bufers the negative association between rumination and attention to the partner. We conducted a daily diary study and the fndings based on 579 daily dyadic observations from 42 dualearner couples support the proposed cognitive spillover-crossover mechanism and the bufer mechanism of thought-sharing. We conclude that negative and positive work rumination takes up scarce attentional resources and thus jeopardizes relationship quality. However, sharing thoughts with one’s partner seems to be a useful strategy for couples to maintain or even increase their relationship satisfaction in the light of work rumination. 8. Development and validation of the Work-home-integration questionnaire (WHIQ)Andrea Noja, Bettina Kubicek, Nejc Plohl, Sara Tement, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The boundaries between work and private life are gradually blurring. More and more employees are involved in work during leisure time through cognitions, emotions or behaviours, in both negative and positive ways. This so-called work-home integration (WHI) can, on the one hand, hampers the necessary recovery from work and result in strain but, on the other hand, also restores resources and result in beneficial outcomes. In order to enhance our understanding of WHI and capture all its different forms, we suggest a new conceptualisation and measure of WHI. We therefore developed and validated the Work-Home Integration Questionnaire (WHIQ) in English, German and Slovene simultaneously using two cross-sectional studies (Study 1: N = 848; Study 2: N = 555) and a two-wave longitudinal study with a time lag of 1 month (Study 3: N = 379). Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed a three-factor structure with (1) negative cognitive-affective involvement, (2) positive cognitive-affective involvement and (3) behavioural involvement. Moreover, the WHIQ showed measurement invariance across the three languages and the results provide evidence for convergent, discriminant and incremental validity. Overall, the WHIQ is a reliable, valid and short measure to assess the extent to which employees are involved in work during leisure time. 9. Some aspects of development of private international law in the CIS countriesIslambek Rustambekov, 2020, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Globalization, development of the states and society and their rapprochement makes the issues of regulation of relation with a foreign element more urgent, and in particular private international law becomes relevant. In this aspect, states are aimed in unification and harmonization of norms of private international law and mostly within regional associations. This article traces these issues within the Community of Independent States (CIS). The CIS countries are trying to analyze and use the international experience, in particular similar experiences of the EU. The EU experience is acutely important in view of the development of Eurasian Economic Union in which more States are trying to become a member. This article traces the development and rapprochement of the private international law in the EU and the CIS countries, and analyzes international agreements of the States which are aimed to unify private international law and regulate such relations around the States. The article reflects upon and provides some basic perspectives regarding further regional harmonization and unification of private international law in the CIS.
