1. A comparative study of early childhood teachers’ digital practices during and after covid-19Marijana Miočić, Matilda Karamatić Brčić, Bernarda Tokić, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: This study investigates early childhood teachers’ perceptions and use of digital media during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, addressing the need to understand evolving ICT practices in early education. Employing a longitudinal design, data were collected via structured questionnaires from the same kindergartens in 2020 and 2024. Quantitative analysis revealed stable self-assessed digital competence but changing pedagogical use and attitudes. The findings underscore the need for targeted digital training and systemic support. The study’s novelty lies in its comparative longitudinal approach, offering insight into the sustained impact of a global crisis on digital integration in early childhood education. 2. Art portfolios in preschool teachers’ initial education as a means of acquiring professional competences and reflective practiceMarijana Županić Benić, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The study sought to examine the art portfolios of second-year undergraduate students of Early and Preschool Education at the Faculty of Teacher Education in Zagreb and their reflections on their own artwork. The aim was to examine how students experience, reflect on and interpret their creative work process. By reflecting, students acquire deeper understanding of art expression and perfect the ability to plan and evaluate visual art activities for implementation in their future work with children. The results show that students whose reflections on their own artwork through portfolios are more detailed show greater levels of self-awareness, creativity and pedagogical competence. 7. Entrepreneurship and the education of future teachersJelena Stamatović, Lidija Zlatić, 2021, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Modern education needs include teachers who possess entrepreneurial competences. The subject of our study is entrepreneurship education in the field of teaching. We conducted semi-structured interviews with senior students of the Faculty of Education in Uzice (N=70). Entrepreneurship education can be realised using formal, non-formal and informal methods in higher education. The fundamentals of entrepreneurship are already represented in the existing curriculum, which cannot be deemed sufficient for systematised knowledge of entrepreneurship. Therefore, faculties of teacher education must be open to new models of activity and content organisation aimed at the development and encouragement of entrepreneurial competences among future teachers. 8. Teacher's competences for using visual response methods in the literary education communication modelKristina Šrot, 2019, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: In the article we present the method of visual response to literary texts, using the example of a folk tale from a foreign civilization circle titled "The Story of Caiman". In considering the perceptions of pupils in the 5th grade of elementary school, our goal is to examine teacher competences for developing the pupilsʹ ability to perceive, understand and evaluate literary texts and on this basis, to assess the justification of content integration (JCI) in the curriculum of university teacher education. This problem was observed within the framework of the interdisciplinary connection between literature and fine arts, since it is only possible to achieve optimal use of aesthetically designed text as a didactic tool for the externalization of the learner's dialogue with literary proverbs, thus checking to what extent teachers are trained in these methods (Visual Response Method) in the communication model of literary education. 9. The role of communication skills in the development of digital literacy competences using the "DigInGreen"Mateja Forte, Matevž Obrecht, Bojana Slomšek Šlamberger, 2024, objavljeni znanstveni prispevek na konferenci Opis: The paper deals with the field of developing communicationand digital literacy with the help of the lifelong learning model "DigInGreen" for all layers of modern society, including people with special needs. The aim of the authors is a targeted search for new solutions in the field of using digital learning and communication tools for the development of digital competences in the light of"Society 5.0". We focus on a unique way of connecting paradigms, such as: inclusive society, competences, digital, special needs, literacy and lifelong learning. We want to connect the thinking about the communicative ability, an indispensable part of which is an individual's digital literacy and point out, that the circumstances of living in a modern, but still partially exclusive society, limit the development of an individual's communicativeand digital literacy, due to a demonstrated special need or disability. We believe, that the activities we carry out,are a unique example of good practice, because they connect many scientific disciplines and fields into a modern concept of competence development without excluding or conditioning the end user. We combine the paradigms of logistics, informatics, statistics, social studies, linguistics and didactics. All the above and more represent the concept of "Society 5.0", which cannot exist as a scientific construct,if it does not consider the key aspect of one's own identification -social equality and the provision of equal opportunities. 10. The perception of sustainability competences in logistics and supply chainsMateja Čuček, Sonja Mlaker Kač, Matevž Obrecht, Lazar Pavić, 2024, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The European Union (EU) has adopted a huge number of guidelines and policies to promote sustainability in different sectors. The study focuses on the twin green and digital transformation, which is particularly highlighted in the context of the European Green Deal, a comprehensive strategy to tackle climate change and environmental degradation while embracing digital innovation for economic growth and societal progress. These guidelines and policies show the EU's commitment to promoting sustainability in different sectors and to achieving the objectives of climate change, environmental protection and sustainable development. One of the areas that plays an important role for the individuals as well as for the economy is logistics and supply chain management. The main research question of this study is to investigate the relationship between the basic sociodemographic characteristics and their perception of the importance of sustainability competences in logistics and supply chains in the future. The study was carried using survey questionnaire on employees in the field of logistics and supply chains in Slovenia. The results show the main statistically significant differences in these perceptions are primary based on differences in employees demographic characteristics, such as gender, age and level of education of the employees.
