Opis: Reporting is present in every company. Whether it is small or big, it cannot be avoided. It plays a crucial role in the process and progress of business. The quality of reporting affects the development of the work environment and the company. Since business report is a document that contains business information, which supports the decisions about the future-oriented business decisions, it is very important for it to be designed in such a way that it contains the key information for the recipient and provides support for business decisions. The reporting process can take place horizontally upwards or downwards. Content and structure vary depending on the recipient of the report. We live in an age when our every step is accompanied by digitization, computerization, artificial intelligence, mass data, the Internet of Things, machine learning, and robotics. These changes have also affected the reporting process as well as its processes. The processes of data acquisition, processing and sharing have changed. Furthermore, the data quantity has increased, whereas the speed of the time in which to prepare the reports has decreased. We can have data without information, but we cannot have information without data. There is never enough time, especially nowadays when we are used to having everything at our fingertips. These are two conflicting factors – having more data and less time to prepare quality reports. The systems are developed to optimize the process, increase efficiency and quality and, what is nowadays most important, they have been created to obtain mass data in the shortest possible time. Therefore, it is important to adapt and implement software that can help achieve our daily tasks. We must know how to process huge amounts of real-time data and deliver the information they contain. It is crucial for companies to keep up with the environment and implement changes and innovations into their business process. A company is like a living organism for it must constantly evolve and grow. As soon as it stops growing and evolving, it can fail because it starts lagging and is therefore no longer competitive to others. To deliver faster feedback, companies need data of better quality. There are tools that can improve the business process, better facilitating the capacity of the human agents. The goal is to harness the employees’ full potential and knowledge for important tasks, such as analyzing, reviewing, and understanding data and acting upon them, invoking information technology to automate repetitive processes and facilitate better communication.
The focus in this master’s thesis is on the reporting process in Group X. Group X is one of the world leaders in the automotive industry, a multinational corporation based in Canada with subsidiaries around the world. The complexity of the business reporting that is implemented for the Headquarters in Canada has to address the complexity of the multinational corporation to support the decision process.
The aim of the thesis is to propose a reporting process for preparing and producing reports with a huge amount of data in a very time-efficient manner. We start by examining the existing processes and upon that, identifying the processes required for the reports to reach the final recipients. Our goal is to identify the toolset, which would increase efficiency, accuracy, credibility, and reduce errors in the fastest possible time. We investigate a short-term and a long-term solution. By a short-term solution, we mean a system, program, or a tool that can help us increase our potential by using digital resources, which are already existing in the organization. By a long-term solution, we mean a solution, which requires employment of specialized future tools in the field of reporting and in repetitive processes, which we can identify with current knowledge and expectations for development. This includes machine learning, robotic process automatization, artificial intelligence.

The criminal offense of abuse of position or trust in business activity and the limits of free economic initiativeZlatko Dežman

Opis: The criminal offense of abuse of position or trust in business activity within the meaning of the Slovenian Criminal Code is the most common criminal offense against the economy. To adequately assess such an offense it is essential to clarify at the very beginning of the criminal proceedings that all preliminary questions have their origin in the field of civil, corporative and commercial law. In other words, the difficulty of problem solving for such cases in later stages of the process only intensifies, as the decision-making process becomes more and more difficult and can cause delays. And even in cases where the facts are undisputed, the whole issue concentrates primarily around the dispute regarding the issue of material criminal law. The purpose of this paper is to present the abovementioned issues, firstly from a more theoretical perspective on freedom of economic (business) initiative in a postmodern era, followed by a presentation of the criminal law subsystem dealing also with phenomena from the economic subsystem, and lastly by a presentation of the Slovenian Criminal Code in regards to prosecution and adjudication of economic crimes and its difficulties, specifically by using the example of the abovementioned offense.

English and Italian in the Frame of Genre-based Research and Foreign Language LearningIvo Fabijanić
Opis: The publication focuses on English and Italian in the context of genre-based research in foreign language learning, with five contributions focusing on language, namely the position of abbreviations in the Italian business context, the English language in tertiary education using the LanGuide platform, the compilation of the Shakespeare's Dictionary, the attitude of young learners towards the introduction of the first foreign language and the strategies used in translating administrative texts into a minority language. In her contribution, Lenassi discusses the principle of economy in the language usage in business Italian correspondence, and focuses on the similarities and differences in the use of abbreviations. Kompara Lukančič and Fabijanić present a different approach to learning and teaching foreign languages, and they emphasise the role of language acquisition and multilingualism. Kompara Lukančič also discusses the micro- and macrostructure of the Shakespeare’s Dictionary. In his contribution, Smajla discusses the attitudes of Slovenian language learners to the introduction of the first foreign language. In the last part of the monograph Paolucci writes about his study from 2019 in which he examined source and target-oriented strategies in the translation of normative and informative administrative texts for the Italian minority in Slovenia.

Teaching Methods for Economics and Business Sciences
Opis: The author of the first paper explores how students perceive various types of active learning techniques. The second paper identifies the teaching methods that are accepted by Generation Y students. The author of the third paper addresses the characteristics of contemporary students and their implications for teaching strategies. The fourth paper explores the effects of interdisciplinary problem-based learning on the development of students' knowledge, skills, and competences. Gamification as a teaching strategy is discussed in the fifth paper. The sixth paper addresses the challenge of merging disciplines of entrepreneurship and finance in one study program. The approaches to increasing students’ focus in learning finance-related subjects are discussed in the seventh paper. In the eighth paper authors expose the value of practical higher education as a response to the perceived phenomena of financial illiteracy and financial exclusion. The role of research results transfer into university teaching of transport economics discusses the author of the ninth paper. The authors of tenth paper explore the relevance of mastering Spanish for students of economics and business disciplines. The last paper discusses the authors' experiences with e-learning in higher education from the perspective of its extent and importance.

Mobile devices have become an indispensible part of modern communications; they enable easy access to the Internet and also remote manipulation of data stored in corporate information systems. The number of mobile device users is on the rise, but most of them don’t comprehend completely the less obvious functions of these devices. Users also have almost no control over background computer programs, because they run without their knowledge and volition. From the standpoint of information security, a lack of awareness of the risks can seriously compromise the integrity of corporate networks and information systems. The weakest links are users, but also the technology itself. To ensure the functioning and security of information systems, corporations and individual users should learn about protective mechanisms. It is also important that users adhere to implemented (internal) safety regulations.
We used descriptive and comparative methods, and made an overview of published literature, as well as processes pertaining to the use of mobile devices and related security issues. We compared general elements of information security in regard to the use of mobile devices.
At present mobile devices are more and more frequently used to access information systems. The majority of users are concerned almost exclusively with the question, how to get uninterrupted remote access to data, but far less with security issues. This paper presents some guidelines for achieving and maintaining information security.
It has been noted, that this is a time of turbulent development and evolution in the field of mobile devices, and also related security issues, so best practices haven’t been defined yet. Corporations and other organizations have just recently begun defining guidelines to eliminate security breaches through mobile devices, therefore a comparison of their implemented solutions is practically impossible. We propose guidelines, which can be used to: minimize information security risks posed by mobile devices; evaluate the current state of information security; and implement protective measures against cyber threats encountered by corporations and individual users of mobile devices.
Information security is a relatively new field because mobile devices and remote access to the Internet and data have just recently come into wider use. At the same time security issues and protective measures have stayed largely overlooked. Security threats are many, so it is impervious that users learn more about them and adopt some necessary security measures.

Umetna inteligenca kot del ERP sistemovMelisa Benkovič

Opis: Strojno učenje (angl. Machine Learning), ogromne količine podatkov (angl. Big Data) in internet stvari (angl. Internet of Things) danes niso več tujke, ampak predstavljajo način življenja, pri katerem se integracija umetne inteligence (angl. Artificial Intelligence) s sistemi, kot je ERP, izkazuje kot odlično orodje pri avtomatizaciji procesov podjetij. Umetna inteligenca omogoča mnoge inovacije, večjo produktivnost in rast podjetja v gospodarstvu. V nastajajočem »inteligentnem podjetju« bo umetna inteligenca znotraj ERP sistemov vodila temeljne poslovne procese, zaposlenim pa bo omogočeno, da se osredotočijo na kakovostnejše delo. Umetna inteligenca kot del ERP sistemov odpira vprašanja o pozitivnih spremembah in spremembah, ki v zaposlenih vzbujajo strah njihove nadomestljivosti z umetno inteligenco.
V prvem delu diplomskega projekta smo se posvetili proučevanju ERP sistemov in v njem opredelili njihov razvoj, vrste in module. Proučili smo tudi najmočnejše ponudnike ERP sistemov in trende za prihodnost. V tem delu smo prav tako definirali pomen umetne inteligence, kako se je razvijala in katere vrste ter koncepte poznamo. Opredelili smo tudi njene ponudnike in trende, ki jih napovedujejo za prihodnost. V nadaljevanju smo povezali vse pridobljeno znanje o ERP sistemih in umetni inteligenci in se posvetili področjem, na katerih umetna inteligenca spreminja ERP sisteme.
Drugi del diplomskega projekta smo namenili sistemoma Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in SAP S/4HANA. Sistema smo opisali in opredelili področja uporabe umetne inteligence znotraj njiju. Definirali smo tudi, kakšne načrte razvoja umetne inteligence imata podjetji Microsoft in SAP za svoja sistema v prihodnjih letih. Po preučitvi posameznih sistemov smo izvedli primerjavo področij uporabe umetne inteligence znotraj sistemov in podali primere izboljšav.

Celovite informacijske rešitve v oblaku za mala in srednje velika podjetjaPrimož Kohek

Opis: Živimo v času informacij, hitrega tempa življenja, nenehnih sprememb, izboljšav tehnologije ter optimizacije. Optimiziramo poslovne procese, ljudi ter prav tako samo poslovanje. Danes ena najpomembnejših poslovnih rešitev je celovita informacijska rešitev, znana kot ERP (angl. Enterprise Resource Planning). ERP rešitev avtomatizira poslovne procese in nudi podporo proizvodnji, nabavi, financam, računovodstvu itd. Avtomatizira procese, vnos podatkov je enkraten. Na trgu je veliko ponudnikov ERP rešitev. Da bi poslovali s čim manjšimi stroški in bili bolj prilagodljivi, konkurenčni, se poslovanje seli v t. i. računalništvo v oblaku (angl. Cloud Computing). Veliko malih in srednje velikih podjetij se odloča za ta korak, saj če želimo biti uspešni in konkurenčni ter korak pred drugimi, moramo delovati hitro, se hitro prilagoditi trgu, strankam ter slediti trendom, spremembam, biti mobilni.
V magistrskem delu smo najprej predstavili, kaj so ERP rešitve, opisali smo zgodovinski razvoj ERP rešitev, njihovo zgradbo, opisali smo svetovni trg ERP rešitev, predstavili trende ERP rešitev, opredelili računalništvo v oblaku, katere so prednosti in slabosti računalništva v oblaku, katere plasti računalništva v oblaku imamo, katere tipe oblakov imamo, kakšne so značilnosti IT rešitev v oblaku. Predstavili smo ERP rešitve v oblaku, kakšne so njihove prednosti in slabosti, kako je glede varnosti v oblaku. Predstavili smo tudi, kako poteka uvedba ERP rešitev v oblaku, kateri so razlogi za uvedbo, kakšen je postopek uvedbe, katere pristope poznamo, kako dolgo traja uvedba in kakšni so stroški te ter kdaj je uvedba uspešna. Predstavili smo tri svetovno znane ponudnike ERP rešitev v oblaku: podjetja SAP, Oracle ter Microsoft. Omejili smo se na njihove rešitve za mala in srednje velika podjetja; te so: SAP BUSINESS ONE, ORACLE E-BUSINESS SUITE ter MICROSOFT DYNAMICS 365 BUSINESS CENTRAL. Primerjali smo jih po arhitekturi, po modulih ter po metodologiji uvajanja.
Ugotovili smo, da so si v osnovi izbrane ERP rešitve zelo podobne, imajo podobne module. Vsak ponudnik ERP rešitve ima svojo metodologijo uvajanja.

Opis: Background and Purpose: In the life cycle of a firm, business transfer represents the critical stage of development. Underestimating the complexity and longevity of this process can have negative implications for firms, their owners and wide network of stakeholders. The aim of this paper is to compare the attitude towards business transfer of entrepreneurs aged 55 and more in Croatia and Finland and provide policy recommendations for improvement of the national business transfer ecosystems.
Methodology/Approach: Both surveys targeted entrepreneurs aged 55 and more using the same questionnaire, with some adjustments to Croatian business transfer ecosystem. Finish barometer was conducted through webbased survey among members of Federation of Finnish Enterprises. Survey in Croatia was conducted with combination of CATI and CAWI collection method by a professional data collection agency. Data collected was compared based on a demographic criterion, industry background, experience in business transfer, expected future of the company, support needed and biggest challenges.
Results: The research results indicated a growing number of entrepreneurs in Croatia who will be interested in selling their firm once they withdraw from the business and less than expected family business successions. In Finland the most important challenges are related to business valuation and finding a successor or a buyer.
Conclusion: For further development of business transfer ecosystem in Croatia it is recommended to focus on awareness raising activities, channels for matching sellers and buyers, promotion of takeover entrepreneurship and consultancy support for micro enterprises. In Finland results indicate the importance of investing continuous efforts in raising the effectiveness of the measures implemented.

Opis: Successful internal communication in an intercultural environment depends on the organizational culture, business environment, social responsibility, and leaders’ skills. Thus, internal communication and employee adaptation to changing business environments ask what a successful socially responsible internal communication requires. This contribution discusses theoretical foundations of qualitative research, how the organizational culture can define which direction the organization should chose to attain social responsibility, and how internal communication can improve understanding of professional language and be decisive in a working environment. The generated model offers insights into understanding social responsibility and organizational culture to improve internal communication.
