1. International Conference Fluid Power 2025 : Conference Proceedings2025 Opis: The International Fluid Power Conferences are a two day event, intended for all those professionally-involved with hydraulic or pneumatic power devices and for all those, wishing to be informed about the ‘state of the art’, new findings and innovations within the field of hydraulics and pneumatics. All papers included in the conference program are reviewed and collected in the conference proceedings. The gathering of experts at this conference in Maribor has been a tradition since 1995, and is organised by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maribor, in Slovenia. Fluid Power conferences are organised every second year and cover those principal technical events within the field of fluid power technologies in Slovenia, and throughout this region of Europe. This year's conference FT2025 is taking place on the 17th and 18th September in Maribor, at Congress centre Habakuk.

2. Effects of parenting styles on academic achievement : the moderating role of a country’s economic developmentTina Cupar, Rudi Klanjšek, Katja Košir, Miran Lavrič, Alexander T. Vazsonyi, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Although numerous studies have examined the relationship between parenting styles and academic achievement in different socio-cultural contexts, the moderating role of specific macro contextual characteristics remains understudied. This cross-national study examined the effects of three parenting styles on two aspects of academic achievement (self-reported average grade and educational attainment) in a sample of adolescents and young adults from ten Southeast European countries (N = 10,909) and tested whether the associations were moderated by economic development as an indicator of socio-cultural context. Results indicated that country-level authoritative parenting style was positively associated with both academic outcomes, while authoritarian and permissive parenting styles were negatively associated (authoritarian with both outcomes, permissive only with educational attainment). Furthermore, the country’s higher economic development increased the positive impact by authoritative parenting and decreased the negative impact by authoritarian parenting style on educational attainment. Study results provide evidence of the importance of contextual characteristics in which parenting takes place, especially for adolescents’ and young adults’ long-term educational outcomes. The results are dis cussed in terms of importance of general value orientations and life goals for the varying effects of parenting styles on educational attainment.

This year's conference is taking place on the 16th and 17th September in Maribor. The main focus of this year's contributions is on the integration of information systems in the field of fluid technology.
