PROGRAMSKA REŠITEV ZA PODPORO AVTOPREVOZNIŠTVU

Opis: Diplomsko delo predstavlja izdelavo programske rešitve za podporo poslovanja avtoprevozniškega podjetja Strmljan & Co., d.n.o. Pred uvedbo programske rešitve se je pisanje računov in vodenje evidenc izvajalo ročno v urejevalniku besedila MS Word in s preglednicami v MS Excelu. Nova rešitev je narejena z obrazci, izdelanimi v MS Visual Basicu na osnovi MS Accessove relacijske baze. Programska rešitev omogoča pisanje računov, vodenje evidenc o vozilih, opozarjanje na prihajajoče servisne dejavnosti in registracije vozil ter prikaze različnih statistik. V zaključku so podane ocene učinkov, SWOT analize, pogoji za uvedbo ter možnosti nadaljnjega razvoja programske rešitve.

PODPORA AKTIVNOSTIM TESTIRANJA V OKOLJU MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO 2013

Opis: V diplomskem delu smo opisali postopek testiranja programske opreme ter ga umestili v proces razvoja programske opreme. Postopek smo iz splošnega zapisa konkretizirali na postopek testiranja v okolju Microsoft Visual Studio 2013, ki smo ga izbrali kot najprimernejše orodje za testiranje naše aplikacije. Pri izbiri so nam pomagali kriteriji za izbiro najustreznejšega orodja za testiranje. Pregledali smo tudi standard za dokumentacijo o testiranju programske opreme in preverili, ali izbrano orodje pomaga pri izpolnjevanju priporočil standarda. Obstoječo aplikacijo smo opremili s testnimi primeri, pri čemer so nam bili v veliko pomoč vtičniki za hitrejše pisanje testne kode, kot tudi dodatki za prikaz rezultatov testiranja.

UPORABA MATLAB/SIMULINK OKOLJA ZA RAZVOJ DSP APLIKACIJ NA PLATFORMI BF561

Opis: V diplomskem delu predstavljamo metodologijo fleksibilnega razvoja DSP aplikacij za DSP platforme iz MATLAB/Simulink modela. Podrobneje predstavljamo programsko okolje MATLAB/Simulink in razvojno okolje Visual DSP za razvoj programske kode v C/C++ na DSP platformah. Jedro diplomske naloge predstavlja metodologija razvoja modela v MATLAB/Simulink okolju in nato fleksibilni in avtomatski prenos modela v razvojno okolje DSP platform, ki ga omogoča povezava med MATLAB/Simulink okoljem in Visual DSP.

POVEZAVA APLIKACIJE S SPLETOM PREKO HTTP IN FTP PROTOKOLA

Opis: Diplomsko delo obsega opis in predstavitev dveh osnovnih internetnih protokolov za prenos podatkov. Ker se uporaba interneta vsako leto povečuje, je namen diplomskega dela preučitev dveh pomembnejših internetnih protokolov. Cilj diplomskega dela je povzeti zgodovino in predvsem delovanje protokolov HTTP in FTP, ob tem pa tudi demonstrirati primer uporabe protokola v kratki aplikaciji, napisani v programskem jeziku c#.

AVTOMATIČNO ODDALJENO POSODABLJANJE PROGRAMSKIH IN PODATKOVNIH ZBIRK

Opis: V diplomski nalogi obravnavamo tvorbo in izvajanje posodobitvenih paketov, ki s pomočjo sistemske storitve nadgradijo programsko opremo in podatke na oddaljenih računalnikih. Preučili smo znane pristope k posodabljanju programske opreme in zasnovali svojo rešitev ter pripravili funkcijske specifikacije. Pri realizaciji smo uporabili Microsoftov SQL-strežnik, ter okolje .NET z visual studiom in VB-skriptom. V nalogi opisujemo učinkovito rešitev za tvorbo posodobitvenih paketov, v katere shranjujemo ukaze in opise podatkovnih struktur, ki so namenjeni za spreminjanje vsebin v sistemskem registru in podatkovnih zbirk na ciljnem računalniku. Pakete stisnemo v podatkovni format ZIP in jih šifriramo z Rijndaelovim algoritmom. Izdelali smo tudi sistemsko storitev, ki je nameščena na oddaljenih računalnikih, in skrbi za komuniciranje s strežnikom, sprejem posodobitvenih paketov ter izvedbo in evidentiranje posodobitev. Vzporedno z razvojem posodobitvene aplikacije smo pripravili še testno okolje, testne primere in način upravljanja z napakami. Nalogo sklenemo z opisom preizkusov izdelane aplikacije v tem testnem okolju.

Holistic strategy of public action and visual digitalization in convergent environment

Opis: Basic operative terms of visual phenomenology are analyzed to develop a holistic strategy for public action within the new culture of communicating inthe global context. New arenas of visual communication are observed as a sociocultural process of adjusting visual technology. Creating a new strategy for public action will enhance daily life and understanding between all citizens, about questions concerning human development and society in general.A theoretical discussion is conducted through diachronic and synchronic analysis of visual communication content. The main goal is to establish a new communicative paradigm for a holistic strategy of public action. Observing visual digitalization, the authors develop a holistic strategy for public action, not only in the technical sense of the transmission and adjustment of analog signal into digital signal. The future of visual communication is a powerful source for creating images, the transmission of pictures via images, and the description or manipulation of reputation, dominance, subjection, and media exhaustion within the convergent environment. The authors identify technical and sociocultural questions regarding visual communication from the perspective of the usage of new information and communication technologies (ICT). The holistic public action strategy seeks to preserve cultural identity within the context of global communication.

Comprehensive decision tree models in bioinformatics

Opis: Purpose Classification is an important and widely used machine learning technique in bioinformatics. Researchers and other end-users of machine learning software often prefer to work with comprehensible models where knowledge extraction and explanation of reasoning behind the classification model are possible. Methods This paper presents an extension to an existing machine learning environment and a study on visual tuning of decision tree classifiers. The motivation for this research comes from the need to build effective and easily interpretable decision tree models by so called one-button data mining approach where no parameter tuning is needed. To avoid bias in classification, no classification performance measure is used during the tuning of the model that is constrained exclusively by the dimensions of the produced decision tree. Results The proposed visual tuning of decision trees was evaluated on 40 datasets containing classical machine learning problems and 31 datasets from the field of bioinformatics. Although we did notexpected significant differences in classification performance, the resultsdemonstrate a significant increase of accuracy in less complex visuallytuned decision trees. In contrast to classical machine learning benchmarking datasets, we observe higher accuracy gains in bioinformatics datasets. Additionally, a user study was carried out to confirm the assumptionthat the tree tuning times are significantly lower for the proposed method in comparison to manual tuning of the decision tree. Conclusions The empirical results demonstrate that by building simple models constrained by predefined visual boundaries, one not only achieves good comprehensibility, but also very good classification performance that does not differ from usually more complex models built using default settings of the classical decision tree algorithm. In addition, our study demonstrates the suitability of visually tuned decision trees for datasets with binary class attributes anda high number of possibly redundant attributes that are very common in bioinformatics.

Understanding student's artworks according to the Scot Lash's post-modern Regime of signification

Opis: Something peculiar has happened at the 2005 semestrial students' exhibition at the department of Fine Art - Art Education program - at the University in Maribor. One of the artworks made by a group of students on the exhibition, which tried to refer to the late Asiatic tsunami disaster (The 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake), was demolished by spontaneous art diversion performed by another group of students. Scandal emerged, demands for prosecutions followed. Some of the professors (a minority of us) tried to advocate the spontaneous students' artistic action. This paper starts with a short introduction of both students' artworks involved, presents the students' statement on their art diversion as well as includes a DVD (4 minutes) of the action. What is more, the theoretical bases for support of the students' art diversion are developed. We make use of the event to establish some basic aspects of contemporary art education. The modern and postmodern approaches toward cultural objects are compared, referring to the Scott Lash postmodern "Regime of signification" (1992). Than we refer to the bases of postmodern curriculum, to the ideas of Manfred Blohm (1995). The pedagogical necessity for stimulating spontaneous artistic responding among students is stressed. The simple response to the spontaneous artistic action of the students - to what we, the professors at the department where the event happened were obliged - became a strong advocacy and branched out to a theoretically based lecture which helps students to understand the contemporary art and to become more sensible of their own artistic and educational work.
