Cotton woven fabrics as protective polymer materials against solar radiation in the range of 210–1200 nm

Opis: The proposed paper describes the influence of woven fabric constructional parameters (type of weave, relative fabric density) and colouration (obtained by eco-friendly dyeing) on the solar transmittance of cotton woven fabrics in the range of 210-1200 nm. The cotton woven fabrics in their raw state were prepared according to Kienbaum's setting theory, at three levels of relative fabric density and three levels of the weave factor, and then exposed to the dyeing process with natural dyestuffs (beetroot, walnut leaves). After ultraviolet/visible/near-infrared (UV/VIS/IRA) solar transmittance and reflection in the range of 210-1200 nm were recorded, the influence of the fabric construction and colouration were analysed. The guidelines for fabric constructor were proposed. The results show that the walnut-coloured satin samples at the third level of relative fabric density provide the best solar protection in the whole solar spectrum. All the tested eco-friendly dyed fabrics offer good solar protection, while only raw satin fabric at the third level of relative fabric density can be classified as solar protective material with even better protection in IRA region than some coloured samples.

Influence of structural and constructional parameters of knitted fabrics on the thermal properties of men's socks

Opis: The research is focused on determining the influence of structural and constructional parameters of rib knitted fabrics on the thermal properties of men's socks. Men's socks are made in three different pattern constructions of three types of basic yarns: bamboo, cotton and a cotton/polyester blend with the additional filament polyamide yarn and wrapped rubber wire for the so-called render socks. For all analyzed sock rib patterns, the most important structural parameters of the yarn and construction parameters of the knitted fabrics were determined. Thermal properties of socks such as the cool touch feeling property, thermal conductivity, heat retention coefficient and thermal resistance were determined by using Thermal Labo and Thermal Mannequin measuring devices. The structural and constructional parameters of knitted fabrics were shown to affect the investigated thermal properties of the socks, making them more or less insulating or heat conducting. Values of the warm-cold feeling parameter as well as thermal conductivity vary depending on the construction pattern, showing a decrease as the number of face loops is increased i.e. in the sequence R1:1> R3:1> R7:1. The ability to retain heat decreases in the opposite sequence R7:1 > R3:1 > R1:1. The highest values of heat retention were determined for R7:1 rib knitted socks by both methods. A regression equation has been established with thickness, loop length, mass per unit area and porosity as independent variables, and thermal resistance (determined by the Thermo Labo method) as the dependent variable. The loop length and mass per unit area were shown to contribute significantly to the model.

Uporaba tehnologije Hyperledger Fabric za sledenje izdelkom v dobavni verigi : diplomsko delo

Opis: Diplomsko delo prikazuje ogrodje Hyperledger Fabric za razvoj poslovno-industrijskih rešitev, temelječih na tehnologiji veriženja blokov, ter implementacijo študijskega primera v obliki potrditve koncepta (angl. PoC) na primeru digitalnega potnega lista talilnega vložka. V prvem delu zaključnega dela je predstavljena problematika sledenja izdelkom v dobavnih verigah, nastanek digitalnega potnega lista produkta z uredbo Evropske unije krožnega gospodarstva, značilnosti tehnologije veriženja blokov, načini uporabe tehnologij veriženja blokov v okviru poslovnih in industrijskih rešitev ter samo ogrodje Hyperledger Fabric, z njegovimi značilnostmi, komponentami, in vzpostavitev testnega omrežja v okolju Docker. V drugem, praktičnem delu je predstavljena zasnova arhitekture omrežja študijskega primera z vzpostavitvijo v lokalnem okolju Docker, razvoj zalednega sistema z Rest API vmesnikom za interakcijo z omrežjem, in uporabniškega vmesnika spletne nadzorne plošče. V zadnjem delu so opisane funkcionalnosti Rest API vmesnika zalednega sistema, z dokumentiranimi API potmi, ter spletne nadzorne plošče.

Complementary assessment of commercial photoluminescent pigments printed on cotton fabric

Opis: The presented study focuses on photoluminescent pigments applied on cotton fabric by a screen-printed procedure using polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as a binder. Microscopic data depicts irregular shapes and relatively wide size distribution (3–80 µm) of pigments. Regarding composition,the Energy-Dispersive X-ray (EDX) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy data complement findings suggesting the presence of Eu-doped strontium aluminate in the yellow-green,calcium aluminate in the violet pigment, and metal oxides in the blue pigment.

Analiza in primerjava Hyperledger ogrodij, temelječih na tehnologiji veriženja blokov : diplomsko delo

Opis: V diplomskem delu se bomo seznanili s tehnologijo veriženja blokov in projekti Hyperledger, ki temeljijo na omenjeni tehnologiji. Tako kot sama tehnologija se tudi ogrodja in orodja Hyperledger nenehno razvijajo. Zaradi svoje uporabnosti in razširljivosti so vse bolj popularna, saj so še posebej namenjena za uporabo v poslovnih okoljih. Namen diplomskega dela je predstavitev vseh trenutnih ogrodij in orodij znotraj projektov Hyperledger. Na podlagi implementacije bomo podrobneje preverili funkcionalnosti in možnosti razvoja na ogrodjih Hyperledger Iroha in Hyperledger Fabric, pri katerem bomo uporabili tudi orodje Hyperledger Composer.

Izmenjava elektronskih računov s pomočjo tehnologije veriženja blokov in umestitev v procese organizacije

Opis: V magistrskem delu bomo razvili informacijsko rešitev za izmenjavo elektronskih računov med deležniki s pomočjo tehnologije veriženja blokov. Najprej si bomo pogledali uporabljene tehnologije, s katerimi smo informacijsko rešitev implementirali. Nato bomo spoznali nujne pojme za razumevanje področja in delovanja rešitve za izmenjavo, kot so: elektronski račun, ovojnica, razmerje med deležniki ipd. Sledil bo korak, kjer bomo rešitev za izmenjavo elektronskih računov tudi implementirali. Na koncu pa si bomo pogledali še umestitev rešitve v organizacijo MBILLS d.o.o. ter postopek, ki privede to tega.

Micro-scale responses of granular materials under different confining pressures using the discrete element method

Opis: Biaxial compression tests were carried out on assemblies of ovals to study the micro-scale responses of granular materials under different confining pressures using the discrete element method (DEM). A total of 8450 ovals were generated in a rectangular frame without any overlap. Four dense samples were prepared from the initially generated sparse sample under different confining pressures. The simulated results yield a stress-straindilatancy behaviour similar to that observed in sands under different confining pressures. The evolution of the different microparameters and their inter-relationships are established. When the confining pressure is relatively high, the difference between the coordination number and the effective coordination number is very small; however, the difference is apparent for a low confining pressure. The microtopology of the granular assembly at several important states of shear is also reported. It is noted that the topological distribution of the granular materials is confining- pressure dependent. The normalized void-cell number is a minimum under the lowest confining pressure, whereas the same number is a maximum under the highest confining pressure. A linear relationship is observed between the normalized void-cell number and the effective coordination number, regardless of the confining pressures. The evolution of the deviatoric fabric for different confining pressures is measured and the macro-micro relationship is presented.

Thermal-mechanical sensory properties of hot-air welded textile transmission lines

Opis: Hot air welding technology is one of the new promising techniques for integrating conductive yarns on or into fabrics, besides weaving, knitting, printing, coating or inserting conductive yarns by the sewing and/or embroidery processes. A new issue related to the introduction of hot air welding technology for making e-textile transmission lines, i.e., the mechanical-thermal sensory properties of hot air welded e-textile transmission lines, is investigated in this study. Fabric Touch Tester (FTT) was used to evaluate thermal, compressive and bending properties of hot air welded transmission lines. The results show that the bending of welded fabric increased after hot air welding in both warp and weft directions. Furthermore, the maximum thermal flux and thermal conductivity of welded specimens decreased in comparison to the substrate fabric.
