MIKROKRMILNIŠKO MERJENJE TEMPERATURE IN PRENOS MERILNIH PODATKOV S PROTOKOLOM SNMP

Opis: Diplomsko delo opisuje zasnovo in realizacijo prototipnega sistema za merjenje temperature in njegovo povezavo v omrežje Ethernet. Jedro sistema je Microchipov mikrokrmilnik PIC 18F67J60, na katerem teče aplikacija za merjenje temperature s senzorji DS18x20 ter aplikacija za prenos podatkov na osebni računalnik z uporabo protokola SNMP. Glavni namen enote je merjenje temperature, avtomatsko zaznavanje priključenih senzorjev ter prenos izmerjenih podatkov s pomočjo protokola SNMP na osebni računalnik, na katerem se podatki shranjujejo in prikazujejo v grafični obliki. Cilj diplomske naloge je bil realizirati čim bolj univerzalen in cenovno ugoden sistem za merjenje temperature ter enostavno nadziranje in shranjevanje izmerjenih podatkov s pomočjo osebnega računalnika.

BREZŽIČNI PRENOS PODATKOV MED MIKROKRMILNIKI

Opis: V okviru diplomskega dela smo razvili prototipni sistem za merjenje temperature in brezžični prenos podatkov s pomočjo infrardeče povezave na bazno enoto. Sistem je razdeljen na bazno enoto in več merilnih enot. Bazna enota, zgrajena okrog mikrokrmilnika PIC16F887, nadzoruje prenose iz merilnih enot ter omogoča prikaz podatkov na grafičnem zaslonu. Merilna enota je implementirana na mikrokrmilniku PIC16F88, in je zadolžena za avtomatsko zaznavanje priključenih senzorjev Dallas DS18x20 ter posredovanje podatkov na zahtevo bazne enote. Sistem samodejno zaznava število aktivnih merilnih enot in iz priključenih senzorjev pridobiva merilne podatke.

Metallographic sample preparation of orthodontic Ni-Ti wire

Opis: Shape memory alloys (SMA) has been at the forefront of research for the last several decades. In this field especially, Nickel-Titanium (Ni-Ti) alloys have been found to be the most useful of all SMA. The most important applications of SMA Ni-Ti alloys are namely in medicine and dentistry, where they are used as orthodontic wires. In this paper we describe the procedure of preparing metallographic samples of typical orthodontic Ni-Ti wires which are nowadays used in dentistry praxis. We prepared the samples for microstructure observation using a light microscope. Special attention is given to the metallographic preparation, which could result in damages and deformations of the sample surfaces if the procedure is incorrect. Finally, we illustrated the typical metallographic recipe for Ni-Ti SMA alloys for optical observation.

Microstructure of NiTi orthodontic wires observations using transmission electron microscopy

Opis: This work presents the results of the microstructure observation of six different types of NiTi orthodontic wires by using Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). Within these analyses the chemical compositions of each wire were observed in different places by applying the EDS detector. Namely, the chemical composition in the orthodontic wires is very important because it shows the dependence between the phase temperatures and mechanical properties. Micro- structure observations showed that orthodontic wires consist of nano-sized grains containing precipitates of Ti2Ni and/or TiC. The first precipitated Ti2Ni are rich in Ti, while the precipitated TiC is rich in C. Further investigation showed that there was a difference in average grain size in the NiTi matrix. The sizes of grains in orthodontic wires are in the range from approximately 50 to 160 nm and the sizes of precipitate are in the range from 0,3 μm to 5 μm.

A silver/silver sulphide selective electrode prepared by means of chemical treatments of silver wire

Opis: The preparation and usability of a sulphide ion selective electrode, prepared by means of chemical pretreatment of silver wire with an ammonium perdisulphate solution, and the sulphidization in an alkaline sulphide solution are described. The electrode is suitable for direct potentiometric measuring of sulphide in alkaline solutions of concentrations down to ▫$1 X 10^{-6} mol/L$▫. The 45 min required for each chemical treatment are enough for the preparation of the described electrode.
