5th International Conference EnRe - Energy & Responsibility : book of extended abstracts
2022, zbornik

Opis: The tendency to improve energy devices, the impact of environmental factors and the development of new technologies for the exploitation of sustainable resources contribute to the fact that we have witnessed intensive energy development in the last decade. The two most important Slovenian energy pools, located in Velenje and Krško, are at the turning point of renovation, and are facing major challenges in the design and planning of modern energy devices. The current generation faces a great ethical responsibility to leave their descendants a world with as little human impact on the environment as possible. Therefore, communication between experts and researchers, discussion and exchange of different views for the future is of the utmost importance, which is exactly the purpose of the EnRe Conference.
Ključne besede: renewable energy and energy storage systems, classic energy systems, policies and strategies for RES, alternative energy systems, energy conversions, energy transfer, electrical machine, thermal machines, mathematical methods in energy engineering, environmental protection, micro and nano energetics, hydrogen technologies, low carbon technologies and strategies, nuclear energy, smart buildings, smart cities and smart grids

Theoretical scope of EM and sustainability
Marina Zhuravskaya, Elena Morozova, 2016, samostojni znanstveni sestavek ali poglavje v monografski publikaciji

Opis: It is no secret that the amount of accumulated waste in Russia today is about 90 billion tons. And the situation is that distinct economic incentives for integrated waste management just do not exist (http://kn51.ru/news/society/ecology/2013/5/02/ekologiya-kak-indikator-zrelosti-obshchestva.html). Many people believe that there are only two ways of development: go back to primitive society or go forward to the inevitable destruction of the environment. However, there is an alternative that combines the preservation of the environment and social well-being – it is the concept of sustainable development.

Development of rural space in post-communist southeast Europe after 1989 : a comparative analysis
Peter Jordan, 2009, pregledni znanstveni članek

Opis: This paper investigates the reasons for the current state of rural space in Southeast Europe, as well as its current structure. It is confirmed that pre-Communist structures, as well as divergent Communist systems and policies, contributed as much to current structures as have divergent post-Communist approaches and developments. Thus, we meet today very different situations in the rural space of Yugoslavian successor states on the one hand, and of other post-Communist countries of Southeast Europe with a planned economy (Romania, Bulgaria and Albania) on the other. But even the countries of former Yugoslavia show many divergences, mainly due to divergent demographic development in the wake of the Yugoslavian dissolution wars.

Innovation and human resource management : the Greek experience
Anastasia Katou, 2008, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: The purpose of this paper is to investigate the pathways leading from innovation to organisational performance by using structural equation modelling. Specifically, we used this analytical tool to test a research framework that is constituted by a set of causal relationships between organisational contingencies, innovation, HRM policies (resourcing, training, rewards, relations), HRM outcomes (skills, attitudes, behaviour), and organisational performance. Employing data from organisations operating in the Greek manufacturing sector, results indicate that the impact of innovation on organisational performance is positive and mediated through HRM policies and HRM outcomes, and moderated by organisational context (management style, organisational culture).
Ključne besede: human resources, innovation strategy, HRM policies, causality, structural equation modelling, Greek manufacturing

Policies for promotion of electric vehicles and factors influencing consumers' purchasing decisions of low emission vehicles
Matjaž Knez, Matevž Obrecht, 2017, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: Recently different studies of green transport have become interesting for policy makers, car manufacturers, customers and energy suppliers. Many stakeholders from the public and private sectors are investing a lot of effort to identify consumer behaviour for future improvements in development of green products and effective strategies, which could accelerate the transition to sustainable future. This paper presents the effects of electric vehicle promotional policies and customer preferences about alternative fuel vehicles. This study has shown that the electric vehicle promotional policies adopted in Slovenia have been unsuccessful, as the share of first-time registered electric vehicles in 2013 was below 1%. For different segments of people whose opinions about low emission vehicles differ, different measures must be adopted. When designing promotional policies focus must be on the most relevant factors such as the total vehicle price and fuel economy.
Ključne besede: policies, low emission vehicles, electric vehicles, purchasing, consumers, green logistics, green transport, Slovenia

Structural changes in agriculture in the Pomurje region after 1991
Matej Kraner, Lučka Lorber, 2010, pregledni znanstveni članek

Opis: The Pomurje region is the most agricultural and the least developed region in Slovenia. Since 1991, the year when Slovenia gained its independence, the country transformed from the socialist system to the free market capitalism and was forced to restructure the agricultural policy. The decrease and the aging of the population, the abandon of the agriculture production and the decay of cultural landscape turned out to be serious problems. In Pomurje, agriculture was faced with unfavourable age structure of farmers in family farms. The Slovene agricultural policy was aware of this problem and took a number of measures to encourage the aging farmers to retire and the young generation to take over. Alongside this process began the process of merging land in the Pomurje rural areas. In the last 10 years, the agriculture in Pomurje underwent the improvement of agricultural technology, the specialization of productions and the enlargement of farms.

Simulation model of multi-shuttle automated storage and retrieval systems
Iztok Potrč, Tone Lerher, Janez Kramberger, Matjaž Šraml, 2004, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: Automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) brought to industry the advantages of faster storages and retrieval of products, efficient utilizationof storage space, high reliability and better control inventory, improved safety and decrease in damages of products. Therefore AS/RS which areused in manufacturing, warehousing and distribution centers have to be designed to provide quick response for storages and retrievals of products in order to keep the system operating efficiently. Heuristics travel time models for AS/RS with equal-sized cells in height and randomized storage under single- and multi-shuttle system are presented in this paper. The main contribution of proposed model is the implementation of the "Strategy x" and determination of relationship between average travel times and throughput capacity for different types of high storage racks and velocity profiles of storage retrieval machine.
Ključne besede: transport systems, high storage rack, automated warehousing, discrete event simulation, storage location assignment policies
