Innovative approach for the determination of a DC motor’s and drive’s parameters using evolutionary methods and different measured current and angular speed responses

Opis: The determination is presented of seven parameters of a DC motor’s drive. The determination was based on a comparison between the measured and simulated current and speed responses. For the parameters’ determination, different evolutionary methods were used and compared to each other. The mathematical model presenting the DC drives model was written using two coupled differential equations, which were solved using the Runge–Kutta first-, second-, third- and fourth-order methods. The approach allows determining the parameters of controlled drives in such a way that the controller is taken into account with the measured voltage. Between the tested evolutionary methods, which were Differential Evolution with three strategies, Teaching-Learning Based Optimization and Artificial Bee Colony, the Differential Evolution (DE/rand/1/exp) can be suggested as the most appropriate for the presented problem. Measurements with different sampling times were used, and it was found out that at least some measuring points should be at the speed-up interval. Different lengths of the measured signal were tested, and it is sufficient to use a signal consisting of the drive’s acceleration and a short part of the stationary operation. The analysis showed that the procedure has good repeatability. The biggest deviation of calculated parameters considering 10 repeated measurements was 6% in case of the La calculation. The deviations of all the other parameters’ calculations were less than 2%.

Comparative analysis of synchronous motors

Opis: This paper compares the parameters, steady-state and transient characteristics of two different types of synchronous motors (SM) – a motor with surface mounted magnets on the rotor, and a motor with embedded magnets and squirrel cage winding, widely known as a line-start synchronous motor. The comparison is based on results obtained from analytical, numerical and transient models of both motors for the same output power of the motors. The models for obtaining transient characteristics allow comparison of acceleration of both motors taking into consideration that the line-start SM is a self-starting motor while the SM with surface magnets is always started with the aid of a PWM inverter. The results obtained from the analytical, numerical and transient models of the motors should assist in choosing the most cost-effective solution in terms of the type of the motor for the appropriate application.

Mathematical models for the simulation of pumps systems

ABSENTIZEM IN FLUKTUACIJA V PODJETJU YDRIA MOTORS D.O.O.

Opis: V diplomski nalogi smo raziskovali absentizem in fluktuacijo v podjetju Ydria Motors d.o.o. Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V prvem teoretičnem delu s pomočjo strokovne literature opredelimo kadrovsko politiko in funkcijo ter kadre, osredotočimo pa se na pojava absentizem in fluktuacijo. V drugem empiričnemu delu smo predstavili primere dobrih praks ter podjetje Ydria Motors d.o.o. Na kratko smo opredelili zgodovino podjetja, kadrovsko strukturo zaposlenih glede na spol, starost in izobrazbo. S pomočjo obstoječih podatkov smo za podjetje Ydria Motors d.o.o. izračunali stopnjo absentizma in fluktuacijo na podlagi treh zaporednih let 2010, 2011 in 2012. S pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika smo v omenjenem podjetju raziskali vzroke za absentizem in fluktuacijo. Na podlagi anketnih vprašalnikov smo ugotovili, da so najpogostejši vzroki za stopnjo absentizma odsotnost zaradi bolezni in nege družinskega člana, najpogostejši vzroki za fluktuacijo pa so slabi medsebojni odnosi med zaposlenimi.

Impact of stator pole shape of synchronous motor on torque

Opis: The paper presents pole modelling of small one phase 10 poles synchronous motor with permanent magnets. The purpose of stator pole modelling is to provide a reliable operation of the motor with in advance prescribed direction of rotation with 80 % of the rated voltage. For analysis of magnetic conditions the 2D finite element method was used. Intuitive and trial modelling procedures were used for pole modelling.

Dynamic two-axis model of a linear synchronous reluctance motor based on current and position-dependent characteristics of flux linkages

Opis: This paper analyses the impact of armature slotting and magnetically nonlinearand anisotropic iron core on the trajectories of a kinematically controlled linear synchronous reluctance motor (LSRM). A new magnetically nonlinear dynamic two-axis LSRM model is introduced in order to perform the analysis. The magnetic nonlinearities and slotting effects are accounted for by the current and position-dependent characteristics of flux linkages.
